Surprisingly, a police officer walked in. He didn't seem to be interested in the books. "Are you the store owner? My name is Detective Johnson. Do you have some time to answer a few questions? They're about a series of burglaries in the area." he said and was pulling out a notebook and a pen.
Heather looked up from her book as a police officer came in. She looked confused. "Sure...officer. I have time." She said as she closed the book. She didn't know what was going on. She didn't worry about a thief coming into her store. She didn't have anything that was of much value, not even rare books.

The police officer began: "The man we're looking for had only very vague descriptions. But we have hints that he is about five feet tall, has black hair and is probably about 20 to 25 years old." he explained. "He takes very much care when breaking into houses, some of the robbed shop owners even said he locked the door after he left. Has someone like that ever entered your shop and perhaps stole something?" he asked.
Heather shook her head. "Nothing like that has happened. All my inventory is in my store, I checked this morning." She said, not mentioning about Enilias in her room. "I've seen many people by the description enter my shop. Mainly buying books for the local college." She seemed calm as she talked about it.

"I see. Thank you for your time." the policeman said and left. While sure the description fitted to Enilias, it could be a lot of other people too. Other then that, Enilias would wake up at around noon. He knew Heather was downstairs, but he hesitated to go there. He was still in his old ragged clothes and didn't really want to be seen like that.
When noon came around she went back upstairs to the kitchen. The wonderful thing about living above one's work was that one could go home for lunch. She made a light lunch, mainly sandwiches. She made one for herself and Enilias. She carried the meal into the bedroom and smiled when she saw the half elf awake. "Good day. I made some lunch." She told him with a grin on her face. "How are you? Your wounds aren't hurting you?"

Enilias smiled. "I'm fine, thanks." he said friendly. "And what about you? Everything went well in your store?" he asked back. Given the way he moved while he ate, he seemed to be much healthier now. He still wasn't able to eat a normal portion, but he ate at a normal pace today.
Heather smiled at Enilias. "I'm glad you are fine." She said as she ate her sandwich. She thought about the questions. "Well my job isn't over, I'm just on my lunch break. I'm alright but an officer did come into the store. He was asking questions about a thief that fit your description, well it also fits a lot of people but still." She was mulling it over. She didn't think he was a thief.

Enilias was a bit nervous though. "I probably shouldn't be roaming around outside then." he pointed out. "With these rags I probably look pretty suspicious. And if they want to know who I am, I'm in trouble." he said a bit worried.
Heather nodded as Enilias spoke. She looked at his clothes. "I could probably get you some new clothes after work. Those look like they are falling apart." Speaking her thoughts out loud. "I'll need your size though, so I can make sure they fit you and all that jazz." She was willing to help the half elf as much as she could.
