@ Kestrel: Ya I never noticed it too much in other shounen but it is pretty prevalent now that I think about it. Bleach is one that really come to mind though they have some of my favorite manga/anime fights. As for the random power ups I think I've just gotten used to them since it's such common practice in mangas. They build up the villain so much that they write themselves into a corner.

@ Rose: If we can survive a gm leaving us I'm sure we can last till you get your grade up unless it takes you like a month to do :P

I couldn't get past the first few eps of bleach. really. For favourite fight, most recently I've gotten into fate/zero, which has a couple awesome ones. Animation-wise too. Especially animation-wise. These dudes have a ton of budget to blow :P

For the more shounen-side of things, check out Law of Ueki. It's... Weird, but has some awesome ideas. I mean one dude fights with the ability to turn towels into steel, but uses that transition very strategically, by wrapping bombs into them, throwing them as steel boomerangs for the extra momentum and then reverting it to towels to release the bombs. It's really weird, but also funny. Although as always, don't expect too much from the plot :P

Another series that has some great fights is the Third. It has this tank, fighting a helicopter... And it's just that awesome. I can't explain it without showing it, but it's brilliant.

@Rose Swan Ehehehehe. That distracting, the site is, eh? I was wondering why you kept talking about that laptop. Oh well. We'll hold out a bit longer.

I can promise you it won't take a month. It's a C now, so I don't have much further to go. I'm on a library computer now. I haven't abandoned you guys, I swear. <3

I'm going to have to check all three of those out. Been a bit behind on mangas lately since the my usual weekly reads have gotten kinda blah lately. Sometimes I hate my desire to always finish what I start >.<.

If you haven't read it you should check out Gantz. Got a really cool concept, gory as hell and just all around strange. The only minus is that it occasionally feels like I'm reading a hentai lol. The author definitely loves his random sex scenes that make no sense.
