I really enjoyed this game for the most part. I never Beat it once though ^_^

The combat and the difficulty were great, but too many things weren't user friendly -_-

I think I quit somewhere around the time I was farming humanities, figuring out PvP, trading items with a bird's nest, and getting killed in the Painted World or whatever. Too many tedious things... I couldn't help but give it up.

You kinda have to be an expert on it to fully experience, which isn't what I was prepared to accomplish.

That being said, If I owned the game I might play it, but I don't so i won't.

Alrighty so I know this is a discussion of how most feel about the game after playing it or spending a good bit of time, but if I may, I want to take it off topic for a moment to say-

I just got the game. I was wondering if anyone had any helpful info for a new player? I mean, I played Demon's Souls, and I know that the game is all about paying attention and being versatile and resourceful in most situations. As in one method of playing will only get you so far.

Anyways, I'm about to pop the game in. I would appreciate any advice, without spoilers. No fucking spoilers. I will murder a bitch.

Give Shiny me. Give twinkly me!

Sorry. Apparently no one else here has played Demon's Souls.

Tips, uh..... it's pretty similar, but the key difference is that there's no Nexus. So you need to explore the world a bit, look around, and find "shortcuts" that can take you from one fireplace to the next while avoiding danger. You'll learn to really, really miss archstones. At least for when I was playing either game, there was a lot more invading going on in Dark Souls, so watch out.

ALSO -- look for yellow Soul Signs. They are your friends, always, and they're boss. Praise the sun!

    Getting invaded is fun.

I remember one time when I was invaded in the sewers. I had a phantom helping me who had Quelaag's fury sword. Bitch didn't stand a chance. ;D

    Queelag's Furysword FTW.
Why do you ask what, when the delicious question is when?

I'm trying to forge it. I've got the Soul of Quelaag and a Fachion +10. Just got to get my spell-sword to the Giant Blacksmith.

But basically, yeah, it slaughters everything.

I prefer just outright delivering as most fucking damage as possible in one swing. I don't like having to constantly swing and risk getting hit myself.

But I occasionally have a little fun with a jagged ghost dagger. :3

    Who's you're guy's favorite boss and enemy?

For me, the Black Knight is by far the most badass motherfucker in DS. I like Sif too. <3

Smough and Ornstein were pretty rough, I liked those guys.

Also Queelag was sexy in that "Half of your body is also a spider" kind of way.

But probably I guess Seath was my favorite.

Seath pissed me off to no end once... >.> After I got cursed by him (during the real battle, mind you) I was so frustrated... Having to go find the red-cloaked mage in New Londo. FUCK THAT TIME.
