    Indeed! Knight with his logic and facts, Juniper with his 'So? I don't give a shit." and his wit. Ohooho!

    World Lore is up!

    Again, if that should require you to change anything in your history, please do so.

    Is it possible for the gene therapy to be hereditary? Cause I was thinking if my character could have inherited the gene from his parents and the gene manifested in a different power for him.
    The universe is made of
    Twelve particles of matter
    Four forces of Nature
    That's a wonderful and significant story!

    Oh, I didn't mention that. Yes, it is. That should be how most of our characters got our powers. I'll add that section in a sec.

    Haha, now Forge is technically the weakest.

    And you know, I kinda like it that way.

    Nah. Juniper goes to sleep in the middle of an investigation, pretty much.

    Now that's weak.

    ...Watson!!!!??? As a true gansta would say: Son, that is a weak axe gangsta name. Why can't I have one with ebonics and everything...?

    Anywho, here is my CS!

    Name: Quim Whittier (<- mother’s last name)

    Alias: Psyche (…will introduce herself as such.)

    Gender: Female. Her father is from an alien race called the M’torm. They are a race that incorporates the mystical into their everyday lives and are born with the ability to access the mystical ingrained within their life energy. Conveniently, their physiology is somewhat similar to that of a human. They practice bipedalism, like humans, but have smaller, petite frames, pale lavender skin (a result of their sun), and iridescent eyes which are their defining feature. Their eyes don’t allow them to see the physical aspects of their world, but rather the magical auras of objects and organisms. As a result, Quim's eyesight is not very good. She has to wear strong prescription contacts. However, she compensates for that by being keenly aware of people's magical auras.

    Age: 23

    Origin: She is half human, half M’torm. As mentioned before, her father is from an alien race. He was known among them as a researcher of sorts which led him to come study earth and its people. While on earth, he had a brief ‘stint’ with Quim’s mother, Rene Whittier, resulting in Quim’s birth. It just so happened that Quim’s mother was a mediocre telekinetic which contributed to the magical abilities that Quim inherited from her father.

    Appearances: (I noticed that no one included pictures, but being the visual person that I am, here’s mine. ^^)

    Quim is an interesting mix. Her father, intrigued by the diversity here on earth, magically manipulated her features to try and include as many different racial features as he could. It was more of an experiment than anything because it was rare for the M’torms to interbreed. One could probably understand the shock that Rene, who was a brunette with brown eyes, experienced when she saw her daughter for the first time. While Quim’s appearance reflects none of her alien heritage, it still gives pause to those who meet her for the first time. She stands at a whopping 5'2" and has a petite frame.

    Quim’s usual attire consists of dresses; knee length, ankle length, floor length, as long as it doesn’t have two pant holes to put her legs through.

    Personality: Quim is the antithesis of the phrase “think before you act.” She is often times dictated by the way that she feels about certain situations though she knows full well whether something is more statistically probable. She just chooses to ignore them. Luck, fate, whatever one calls it, is an idea that she thrives on. As a result, she can be a bit unrealistic and naïve at times.

    With her flaws, she understands that she doesn’t make the best investigator, but she does have an uncanny ability to relate to people and make them trust her. She makes an effort to understand people, their motives, and in essence, their psyche. The same vigor she has for studying people applies to her research on the mystical arts due to her hunger for an understanding of her powers. She has an extensive knowledge on the human mystical arts and a little on the M’torms’ mostly based on experience and on the books her father had left.

    Morality: Everything happens for a reason, thus according to her, everyone is connected in some way. An action will not only affect the immediate, but also have reprecussions in the future, good or bad. Thus, Quim tries to find a balance when it comes to issues regarding morality.

    Abilities: Since her mother was a telepath, Quim channels her magical ability by accessing the subconscious of her mind. What she doesn’t know is that within her subconscious is ingrained the same magical intuition that the M’torms have. Perhaps that is why her natural instinct (even when she first discovered her powers) is to mutter the phrase “M’tornasis Heim” as an incantation of sorts whenever she performs a spell. Her magical abilities are strongest when they are linked with the mind, such as reality warping or telekinesis. Otherwise, acts such as scrying are things that she is quite mediocre at.

    Of course, all magic comes with a price. For Quim, it is simply mental exhaustion. The harder the spell, the harder it is to react after its been cast, leaving her obviously vulnerable.

    History: Quim never knew her father, except what her mother had told her. He had abruptly left for reasons unknown to her mother. It seemed that the departure was a bit unplanned as he had only took his scientific journal, leaving his other study materials such as various books and a single coal black bracelet interwoven with iridescent threads. Neither Quim nor her mother know what the bracelet is for, but brief exposure to the it will rejuvenate Quim’s magical ability while prolonged exposure will send her body into a state of shock. Her mother can’t even come within a few feet of this relic. Other than her abilities and the items her father left her, Quim knows nothing about her M’torm heritage. However, this has not affected her much as she grew up with her mother with a fairly normal life. The only problem she had was when people doubted that Rene really was her mother because of Quim’s appearance.

    Of course the Company was not unaware of this alien presence. In fact, they know that Quim’s father was not the only M’torm to visit this planet. However, before they had the chance to approach Quim’s father, he left, leaving behind his human mate and spawn. As a result, they kept a close eye on Quim, unbeknownst to her, watching every manifestation of her powers. When she was of age, they invited her to be a part of the Company itself. She refused at first, understanding that part of the reason why they wanted her was because of her unusual heritage. However, they offered her access to their database regarding the M’torms and other alien species in exchange for her services. Wanting to know more about her father, she accepted the offer even thought she is, to this day, a bit leery of them.
    I was a child and she was a child,
    In this kingdom by the sea;
    But we loved with a love that was more than love-
    I and my Annabel Lee;
    With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven
    Coveted her and me...
    ~Edgar Allan Poe
