DnD 3.5

Got myself some 3.5 books again, and man it's been ages!

I'm very new here, actually found the site while looking for something else only this morning, so how do we do this? Chat, forum posts, email, IRC, I'm up for pretty much anything that does not involve actual sound, since my wife often hijacks the audio on my PC to listen to the radio etc throughout the day.

I may play about in the day tomorrow with re-familiarising myself with the system. I think it was D&D 3.0 I last played. I know, I'm old

Oh, and I'm in the UK time zone, but my free time is rather skewed towards afternoon till 4am, so I'm pretty flexible time-wise.

Kk, glad to see more interest. I'll hopefully have the OOC up shortly; I'm heading out into the field tomorrow morning so if I don't get it up tonight, it will be Sunday evening (sorry lol).

I think I might join this. Never played D&D, but I figured, "If my uncle played series 1, then I guess 3.5 would be a good stepping stone for me". I'll make my character and be back shortly.

Edit: What is/will be the level cap?

If this is IRC based, I can roll all the dice for the players.

If this is forum based, this roller's results can be copy-pasted into posts. For example, a d20 roll; the result is 6.

We'll be starting at 1st level and with a point buy system (the amount currently undetermined). Any hypothetical level cap I would like to see would be somewhere between 6th to 10th level. Lots of room for badassery, but not powerful enough to flip empires.

Regarding world-building, I'd like it if all the players would send me a private message with a basic description of the kind of campaign/setting they'd like to see. Any ideas will be welcomed, since I can pretty much design this thing a trillion different ways, but would prefer it if it were something you'd all enjoy.

We're not making characters yet; we're still doing the setting and whatnot.
