Lauren noted that her son seemed to keep reaching out to something to his left. Her brows furrowed. "What is it, Chris? What do you want?"
"Kaede, mommy. Kaede. Pretty Kaede." Christopher giggled.
But Lauren's attention turned to Oliver as he started telling his story. When he finished, a horrified look was on her face. She immediately made a u turn. "That's horrible, Oliver... You... I can't leave you there knowing you'll be hurt... My house. It's big enough to fit all three of us. You'll stay there tonight and we'll figure out what to do in the morning."
