Where the Blacktop Ends

A quad rolls up to the pit and gets ready to run, everybody in the pit climb out covered in mud, Tyler slicks up his hair into a mohawk with the mud. He is still climbing out when the quad starts its run, he stays close to the side watching the quad slow down and then finally getting stuck, guy starts rocking it trying to get loose but it gets high sided in the mud. Tyler jumps into the pit and grabs the line from the winch on the front of the quad and pulls it out to a front end loader. The line on the winch begins rolling in and the quad pulls itself out of the mud. Tyler unhooks the winch and heads over to the showers getting cleaned up. He heads to the beer tent and relaxes.

Jenna watched him, and all the other people. She was here for the entertainment, not to almost kill herself again. She was sitting on a stump that used to be a tall oak, and slowly sipping the alcohol. Since she rarely drank, her mind was already starting to experience a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Tyler notices Jenna drinking and showing signs of getting tipsy, he walks over to her. "You know drinking on an empty stomach will leave you with a nasty headache don't you?"

Jenna looked up at Tyler through her long lashes.

"I'm sorry, could you say that again?" She wasn't exactly sure what he had said, as her attention was in other places. She set down her cup next to her, and it blew away in the wind, as it was now empty.

"Ah shit," She mumbled under her breath, then went to chase after the cup. It had blown quite a ways, all the way into the edge of the tree line. After picking it up, she came back to where Tyler was standing and smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry, I'm good now. So, what did you say?"

Chuckles at her chasing after the cup and says. "I said you know drinking on an empty stomach will leave you with a nasty headache don't you?"

Jenna blushed slightly, "Of course I know that!" She she said it a little defensively, only because she really hadn't known that. Since she didn't want to look like a newb though, she tried to (and failed at) lying.

Laughs "You are a bad liar. Come with me, lets get some food in you." Takes her with him to the cafe. "You want a hamburger cheeseburger slider or sausage?"

Jenna smiled and follow him. She had hoped that he wouldn't see through her lie, but it looks like he did.

"How about a hamburger?" She asked, walking beside him.

"Alright, you will love this." Orders a hamburger for her. The chef grabs an onion and slices it thin then cooks it with the burger, he sears the burger on both sides and tops it with the onions seasoning it lightly with burger seasoning then covers it with an onion bun covering them with a bowl and steams them. The chef pulls the burger off the grill and finishes it off, sliding it to Tyler. Tyler hands the burger to Jenna. "Enjoy that."

Jenna smiled at him.

"Thanks!" She then took a bite out of the burger, and continued to close her eyes, "Oh my god, yum!" She mumbled, with food still in her mouth. Anyone would take that as a sign of grossness, talking with your mouth full that is, but somehow she pulled it off without being gross. She opened her eyes and looked at Tyler.

"Really good!"
