I'mma put myself down as intrested, mainly as I've been itching to do a bit of Shadowrun lately.
I'll even dig out my Shadowrun books to buff up on some lore ect.

The world of Shadowrun is set in the not too distant future, although circumstances are drastically different.
Around the year 2011, a series of events occurred which led to two main things: magic coming back to the world, and humans morphing into a variety of metahumans (including orks, trolls, elves and dwarves).
While this happened, technology also took off and man was now apt to augment their body with cyberware.
The make up of countries and nations changed dramatically with the emergence of the Megacorps. Given much leeway to promote economic growth, the Corps flourished and gradually took a hold of more and more influence throughout the world.
That is where Shadowrunners come in. When the Corps settle dispute outside of the laws of countries and the Corporate Court, they resort to the shadows.
If one Corp wants to steal information, or kidnap employees, or just cause physical damage and intimidate another Corp, they hire Shadowrunners, knowing that any action these individuals can be disavowed and the Corps' hands are clean.
While the Corps are the ideal source for work due to the pay and resources, they are usually the most dangerous. Other entities also employ Runners, from rich individuals, to local governments to spouses assuming adultery.
Detroit is now part of the UCAS (United Canadian and American States) and home to Ares, one of the top Megacorps in the world. The streets are always buzzing with activity and a hungry Runner could provide quite a name for them self here.
The year is 2072 and the city is alive and kicking. What would today bring...

Ok great, will you let us know when the OOC is up?
Interested.

Order of the (spacey) Advanced Roleplayer
Blank, Haga and Ruby. The 4 of us should be good but that kind of depends on our group make up. Please let me know what "class" you intend on being and maybe what races, post here in the thread.
It would be a pretty dead-in-the-water group if we had 4 deckers or 4 shaman.
Ideally I wanted to be a street samurai, either human or ork. But I'm always open to anything so long as it helps get the SL off and running.
Thanks.

I'm in, if you'll have me. As for the class, I was thinking about working for the UCAS government?
