Don't have much to say here.
I thought Entry 1 had an interesting Idea but was muddled by forced rhymes that sort of worked in some places but did not work at all in others.
Entry 2 had a bit of a strange story which I felt moved too fast while spponfeeding the reader.
I actually thought that I was going to vote for entry 3 because of it's really good writing and interesting accompanying art. It didn't lose my vote because it wasn't good but because 6 was simply a little bit better.
Entry 4 is a very nice little poem which I fully enjoyed reading but the picture was just really creepy. I feel like the picture brought a whole different morbid feel to the piece which sort of creeped me out. It was good though.
Entry 5 didn't have any text. I don't know what the piece was about.
I loved entry 6. It reminded me so much of my years in kindergarten and story time. I lived the art style and wish this person the best of luck with their future endeavors. I can see that being turned into a children's book, it was so good. The ending was weird for me since I wasn't sure if the crab was happy or not but I hope he was. Either way, I loved it and so it got my vote.
Entry 6 was a pleasant, funny, smart, well structured, original idea.
#1 I don't know guys but that really does the nostalgia for me. Sure it's not that awesome on a technical level, but yes I was a boy and yes my toys had fights and wars and I had an evil bear. Really, the roles of villains were always given to a bear and a monkey. Poor things got thrown around like mad.
I like #2's salamanders with the eggs, but they feel too separate of entities. Same with #3. #4 ain't really doing it, for some reason. Picture + sad poem, tear-jerking approach? I don't know. #5 has... No WotM and #6 feels... I'm sorry I tried to understand the hype and I like the concept of a picture book for kids but... I feel it doesn't have much more than it's concept going for it. Which wasn't worked out all that well. Had #6 done more with it's entry it'd have easily gotten my vote, but alas...

The really hard choice between #2, #3 and #6.. And I do love #5 too. It is such a pity that this artist didn't have a good writer to accompany him/her for the drawing is really nice.
#2: I loved the drawing. Just to point that out first. It complimented nicely with the story and I found myself scrolling back up to see what each character looked like (I like to have pictures that represent characters ^^). The story was sweet and was very recognizable for me. I've just started on the university and although I'm doing a literature study I often find that people just lack the creativity that I think there should be. They seem to have lost the believe in fairies and seem to have traded it for pure rationality.
#3: Hehe, when I first opened this one I was like: "Uh..." But I was pleasantly surprised when throughout the story I started to appreciate the drawing more and more. I found this piece very strongly written and in such a way that I understood the picture more and more. I actually thought that the piece had stopped after that intro before the guy was shaken out of his daydream thing. For me the first piece would have been enough. Not that I didn't like the rest I just felt that after that first piece I understood perfectly what you meant. I also found that first piece the best written.
6#: Yeah, you actually already won me over with the name Peter the Crab. I mean that name is just brilliant. If I ever have to do something with a crab (like write about it or draw a crab or whatever) I'm going to name it Peter. The story was just so much a rememberance of the past. It really brought childhood memories rushing back to me. I enjoyed the different animals you guys used (I did each with a different voice which was what MDK suggested later xD). I have to agree on the rhyming though. It was a bit weird sometimes. Still lovely done and you get my vote.

If I could vote, I'd give mine to #3. The story might be a little weird in places, but the entire package really sells to me. It's something I can relate to. I really like how the artist went for something childish. I had honest worry no one would. During the whole process of this it was one of my main hold ups during discussion, I didn't think anyone had the willingness to take themselves not-so-serious-enough to really play up the childish angle.
Of course, #6 played the child angle as well. The problem is that #6 also did this horrible pages thing with the hiders. It... would have been better off as a solid chunk broken up by images. One image seems to be missing, by the way. The one with the crow. The rhymes are only awkward once, and the images are wonderfully hand done to fit with the feel of the book.
I do, however, feel like the writer of the piece could have worked on their formatting (Grammar is especially important in children's fiction!) and kept a more fluid flow from line to line. If the target audience was "kids" then it lacks that steady beat and pace required of a children's book. The problem is you tried to mix "See Spot Run" with Dr. Seuss. Really should have picked one. I wish the images had a little bit of touch up, like the logo/header had, but that's a small detail. Their random sizes are a bit weird, though. Consistency would be good.
I'm a sucker for six. The childhood aspect really got to me, so my vote goes to him/her.
The rest were all really amazing though, I feel like five could've been a sure-shot if he had a writer to accompany him. The artwork is abstract, and intriguing.
Four. Wow, I can't believe you actually made a doll to accompany your piece. That's some true effort right there. It really hits the childhood theme with that portion.
