Name: Sophos Ailred
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Age: 62
Race: Terminian
Skills: Sophos is a brilliant magician, a near master of the forces of time and space. He can stop time across an entire section of Clock Town for a good five seconds if he so pleases, although he'd probably pass out. Generally he keeps to meditation and causing the occasional shooting star to fly across the sky and land in the Great Sea, which always looks absolutely gorgeous. Other than his magical abilities, Sophos spends his time studying the lore of the Goddesses, and he has his suspicions about the great Father Thallus. He is also quite experienced at alchemy, and is able to make powerful healing potions.
Magic Abilites: Time and Space
Weapons: Sophos keeps both of the weapons seen in his picture, a large gnarled staff for bashing people and a small dagger for the intense swordfight.
Inventory: Sophos carries on his person his satchel, which contains his alchemy reagents, along with a mortar and pestle for combining these ingredients, and several bottles and flasks for his creations.
EDIT: As of February 2013, Sophos has received a tome which contains all of his knowledge regarding alchemy, even that which he had forgotten. He also lost his staff in combat, reducing him to walking on his own.
Bio: Sophos grew up in Clock Town, watching the transformations to a magic-shunning society, and for that reason he keeps his abilities secret to others. He often uses his powers in very small doses, slowing time for a bit so he can make an appointment, or speeding it up so he doesn't have to wait as long for his stew to boil, for example. He sees little problems with the mechanical way of life, however, and enjoys the simplicity of cooking on a stove, or listening to a radio broadcasting the news.
Sophos's parents are dead, obviously. (He's 62, what did you expect Caboose?! :P) The elderly man is primarily self-dependent, and worked as a librarian for quite a while to earn his simple life. He kept his nose out of other people's way, and has no enemies. Other than the Templars, that is. He protested their beliefs, trying again and again to rally people not to believe him if they weren't going to believe in the Goddesses who had for so long protected the land. In his eyes, he'd seen non-belief better than outright blasphemy and distaste.
Now, he is in Hyrule, taking a look at what has been happening, seeing it slowly fall apart. Sophos simply hopes to find some way to at least prove to one person that there is simply nothing proving that Father Thallus had anything to do with Hyrule's recovery, and that these things simply fluctuate, as they always have.
