    That was more of an attack, it wasn't like really a main part of it, think of it as if someone had really long finger nails that could rap around you. If you burnt finger nails, it probably wouldn't hurt them.

    The only way to hurt the Guardian is to cut off its Deku Babas tails, which only hurt it a little, the only main way to hurt it is to attack the two last weak points covered in thornes and leaves, but to attack them you have to get rid of the Deku Babas tails, because they can stretch to block any attack made at the weak points.
