    Less armour too.

Exactly. That's why most of the men on the frontline trench end up dying. The wildmen attack quite literally in swarms of hundreds, which is why there's a tonne of cannons and mines, etc.

I don't consider a net vest to be "armour". ;D

And miniguns and flamethrowers! Who doesn't love a planted turret here and there, eh?

    That made me laugh. xD

Indeed I don't think they need the armour with all the weapons they have!

Exactly ;D they must go through a lot of bullets per day.

So I searched 'wildman' on Deviantart and one of the results was this.

    'Lake Minnewanka' ...

True, true. And remember, you can't hit what you can't see. They don't need armour!

Production costs must be immense. D: After the war is over, those weapon companies are going to hit a serious decline.

I searched wildman and came up with several less savoury results. :L

Which is why I'm so in favour of stealth

Indeed this war has been going on for a few centuries so for the most part the industry can't see a future without war, considering there are cannons lining the walls of the city and so on.

    Seriously, Minnewanka

Totes m'grotes. I'm sure my character would be able to turn invisible, being a Wraith and all.

They'll just have to put up with it. Sometimes we have to go through times of hardship, especially in times of non-war. :P

Sounds like something I'd name a lake. ;D

Indeed. Who knows when the war will end though plus, the whole reason these people are engineering the wildmen is the create soldiers more suited to fight whatever deadly threat is further north, so one war will undoubtedly lead to another.

    ;D Exactly!

    Why don't they just;

Yeah I just have no idea what it is yet That's the reason I came up with for the wildmen: they're being engineered to be used as a weapon against this particularly powerful threat further into the continent.

Mostly because they're all failures! They're trying to create supersoldiers, so to speak, but their methods are currently producing masses of less than intelligent barbarians.

Something magical, no doubt... maybe some kind of super Wraith? That'd be aweshum. ^_^

But surely it'd be better to throw those mindless barbarians at whatever the hell it is up at the north rather than releasing them into the wild. Not only would you be able to thin out the numbers of whatever the hell is up in the north, it would also mean that Pangea wasn't being destroyed. :P
