I'm working on it. All of the sudden my list has gotten longer than I thought. Not a problem just a fact.
Thank you cute and creative May

I finally got it done May, let me know what you think of it. She sort of took on a life of her own so it became longer then I meant for it to be...XD
Name Karin Liana Simian
Birthday
7 July 250 AD
Species: Kirin
Appearance
Kirin form
Her original and most commonly seen form, a deer shaped dragon. Scales of silver water blue grace from her shoulder along the dorsal area to her rump and her ox like tail. Long white hair flows into a mane from the top of her head along the nape of her neck, another long six inches grows from the end of her tail and comes to rest above the joint of her hind leg. Her four legs are thin and spindly thing with rubber band like tendons and tiny delicate two toe hooves of onyx black. The head is a cross between an elongated deer shape with wolf like lips and muzzle, a single short horn branches out to three crowns like a budded sapling with no sharp points. Eyes as bright and clear as the serene brook bubbling about while short fur coats her thin leg beneath the scales, long cupped ears that moved with the slightest sounds.
Human
A reedy looking woman with thick brown glasses, Karin looks like a desk secretary with business suits and pencil skirts of dull colors. Her hair is platinum blond, with high and low lights mixed in, tied up into a tight bun that allows a single long strand, slight tint of blue, which reaches down to just below her average bosom. A tiny waist and just as thin legs, Karin has a fine figure with the ass to match. When she’s not at work, her clothes are baggy and none formal, usually jeans and sweaters or long sleeves to hide the scales that cover her flesh. Her ears are cup shaped like a deer’s and her single horn remains on her forehead. Her eyes have a slight soft blue glow to them, deep colored black with blue highlights on the edge of the iris.
Both forms has a thin vivid scar trailing down the full length of her left ear, nearly splitting it in half save for the thin skin layer of healing tissue that holds together. It looks normal at first glance but a longer or deeper inspection would state otherwise.
Personality
Karin is timid, quiet, and easily scared by anything she finds unfamiliar. Rarely Karin speaks, unable to force herself to talk face to face with strange people at first, becoming the shy wall flower. Due to her lack of confidence she tends to hide her true beauty behind saggy sweaters and much less appealing clothing, simply cause she’s never seen herself as attractive despite what everyone else tells her. Though her mother is graceful, it seems that it passed over Karin completely as she often finds herself stumbling when she’s distracted or fumbles with difficult tasks or multiple ones at once.
Sometimes her sorrow or anger become a bit too much for her, though she can hide in the presence of others, Karin will find a chance to slip into the nearest isolated place to let everything out. She puts her heart into everything she ever does and can’t take critics very well or yelling for that matter, her ears pulled back as she flinches at every raised octave.
Brief History
Karin’s history is a long one. She was born in the Yayoi era, before the strong influence of military and this period was beginning cradle of civilization her home country. Though she doesn’t remember her past from before the 1400’s, her heart always lay with Japanese influences and her place of residence reflects that. She even has a tradition style kimono, bright silken red patterned with golden flowers along the sleeves and lower half, in her closet that she wears to business parties and other special occasions along with a hair pair of chop sticks. Karin traveled to the USA during the period that Christianity flourished and though the history books would never state it, her family had fled from a massive attempt to extricate her species to the new religion.
She still suffers from childhood nightmares of bloody samurai, thunder storms, and battle in general thanks to the feudal period. She was caught in the middle of an unwritten battle between two rivaling lords, men died all around her while she had stood frozen -recently developed her human form, a young girl- before one of the samurai attacked the “demon” girl to rid her evil from the battle. She still has the scar that runs the length of her left ear, once in a while thrashing in her sleep against the dreaming phantoms until she wakes to realize it was all a nightmare.
She lived a sheltered life to date. Mostly home schooled and even now still learning the modern education as she tried to fit in to the current era just a little bit easier, taking private classes within the society since her form would be an eye-sore in the outside world. Her father was a wealthy lord-far better at retaining a human form then herself- at one point as he taught his daughter proper etiquette of a submissive female, to strive for grace, beauty and ability to serve a future husband. Since then her in pounded morals still exist but on a much milder scale, Karin tried to exist in a life molded by her mother as one of the society’s secretaries until a husband can provide for her. Karin’s father was killed during WWII, everything he left was bestowed upon his wife and loving daughter. To this day her mother is a ripe old Kirin for her age and still continues to monitor her daughter’s behavior as her life is being planned out. Never once had that old Kirin ever stopped trying to set Karin up with another mythical creature (their species so rare now that her mother had given up pairing her with another male Kirin, now any loyal male will do now of unnatural origin) and likely never will.
I do love her! I'll put her up in the OP soon.

I have a lovely little character brewing who would go along smashingly well in the way of 80s buddy cop duos lol

Lol, you should have known I strive for orginality a bit too much, besidesKirin are Japanese Dragon/Unicorns in a sense in case you haven't figured it out or was wondering. I had to research a bit on them myself.
Lol, maybe. Probably should have made a werewolf instead... be fun to find what is on the other side of things.
**Hugs Back!**
EDIT: It might take a bit for me to find Karin's "voice".... so forgive the short post. (enjoy the Lp reference you two, lol)![]()

It was just fine, not short at all. And I love you, I really do. I snorted while reading that. Mostly because Elena is the Russian version of Helen(a)They're not the same character though, just the name made sense to me. Did you know that Helen (possible) means torch? I love learning new things.
