Sara looked at Xi as he stopped. She wished she had time to let him stop and look at everything. She smiled and took his hand. She was confused when he said this and woods. It didn't seem to fit together. She tried to piece together what he had meant. She couldn't though. She didn't have enough to work with. When he asked how big. "The woods are 100 acres large. It'll take a day or so to get through." She said in a gentle voice.

Xi only nodded. Though he really had no notion of day or night. The only realization he had of passing time was testing time, and the time they left him alone in the liquids to float and sleep. But for now he did not ask all these questions that he wanted to. Instead he picked up Sara again, thinking her smaller legs wouldn't be fast enough to keep up with him, and took off into the woods.
"White coats find us here?" he asked...

Sara smiled softly as Xi picked up. There was going to be a lot that she would have to teach the project. She bit her lip as he carried her through the woods. She thought about it. "They shouldn't. White coats, or scientists, don't often know how to track a person through the woods. But if they get the S.W.A.T. team or the men with the shields, then the could find us. But we will have to rest when it get's dark or when it's night." She explained to him.

Xi listened intently to Sara's words. So white coats don't know how to follow, but men with shields did. Made sense, shield men put up a better fight.
That's when the adrenaline from his anger started subsiding, and Xi slowed to a stop. The whole time he had not bothered thinking about his shoulder and back. Adrenaline had kept him from feeling it. As part of how they made him, to get lessen his pain receptors to be a better fighter, they made it so he felt no pain while hyped up on adrenaline when he fought. And though when he wasn't on adrenalin the pain wasn't as bad as if he were human, he still felt it.
Xi let her down. Her white coat was now smeared all over with red and black. He looked at his shoulder. There was blood there, but his blood, which was black and thick. So think that it oozed slowly like a kind of glue. This was so that he would not loose blood too fast if he was wounded. As soon as his blood hit the open air it thickened like this. But he was still loosing it.
Xi reached up with a hand and whipped away the black blood that had built up around his shoulder...

Sara looked at Xi with worry as he finally noticed his wounds. She bit her lip. "Sit down, please." She said as she started to rip at the base of her lab coat. She looked like she was concentrating on what she was about to do. She had to treat his wound and the only thing she had was what she was wearing. She should have taken him to the medical wing of the lab but knew that would have been dangerous for him and whoever was working there. "I'm going to treat your wound."

"Must keep moving. Shield men and white coats," Xi said, but watched her rip her coat. For all he knew it was part of her like his spikes were part of him. But here she was ripping it apart. So it wasn't part of her then? Strange...

Sara shook her head. "Let me bandage your shoulder up, then we can continue." She continued to rip a strip of the coat. She smiled as she moved to bandage his shoulder. "It's just a temporary fix." She said as she made sure it wouldn't get infected. She took his hand and began to move deeper into the woods. "See, time to go for now. Then we can check out your back when we get somewhere much safer."

"Move faster if I carry," Xi told Sara, knowing that he could easily carry her for several days straight. For he did not sleep, not really. Sure, he closed his eyes and let his mind wander when left in the tube, but it could not go far because his knowledge was limited...

Sara looked at Xi as he spoke. "Alright, but tell me if you feel any pain okay?" She said as she stopped moving. She stood still so that he could pick her up. It felt weird being in his arms. She never thought that it would happen. Heck she hadn't expected any of this to happen. She was now a wanted fugitive and he would be wanted dead because he disobeyed. But she had thought he should have free will as well. A mindless killing machine wasn't smart to have.

Xi nodded to Sara when she said to let her know if he was feeling pain. But he was already feeling pain, his whole back was pain. But he ignored it. Sara had to be where white coats and shield men couldn't get to her and take her away from him. He lifted her up again, staying careful not to hurt her, and kept moving. He would have used his tail as a machete, cutting away brush that was in their way. But he didn't want to be tracked easily, so he just pushed through it, though a leaf or two got stuck on his various spikes...
