Elder Myth and Legends (IC)

Miarenus with no reply from the person decided to cast magelight at his approximate location. Sure enough a male Breton lit up under the light. His robes where torn and either he was unconscious or asleep.
"Elanin watch for trouble. I'm going to pick this lock." Miarenus told her. She had a feeling Elanin didn't like this entire thing but you couldn't judge somebody by that alone.

Elanin raised her eyebrows at the seemingly unconscious male breton. He looked like he's been through Oblivion and back but still has somehow stayed alive. "Fine," Elanin replies and walks back to where the door is to the dungeon. She knows that because of Miarenus' past with thievery she would be able to free the prisoner in hardly any time at all.

Volian had to squint as the bright magelight lit up next to him, he haddent seen bright light in a few days. As the first mage unlocked his chains he slanted down and rubbed his wrists.

"Oh thank god" He said, figuring it was someone friendly, "Thank you, I have been stuck in this basement for days with almost no food."

He went to a nearby chest and retrieved his weapon they had stashed away.

"My name is Volian, a mage working in the Collage of Winterhold. I was just on my way to Solitude when I got hit by these bandits."

Miarenus scoffed. "The mages guild they're just a bunch of pedestrian filled with no-talent hacks, impotent old blowhards, has-beens, and other assorted conjurors of cheap parlour tricks." Miarenus told him. "Other then that though we're headed to Solitude as well. You can tag along but I'll be watching you." Miarenus told him.
She looked over to see if Elanin had heard her remark about the mages guild. She didn't hate the mages guild but true magic was discovered when you needed it most not by studying books.

Elanin hears Miarenus' annoyed voice back where she had left her. "Nice timing..." Elanin mumbles referring to Miarenus' lockpicking skills and goes over to where the prisoner was kept. She sees the Breton now wearing mage's robes. She looks over the Breton real quick and turns to Miarenus. "So now that you have your little prisoner freed, can we rest now?" Elanin asks with a strained voice. She never even aknowledged Miarenus' annoyed look on her face.

Miarenus looked over to Elanin and laughed.
"A high elf tired? That's a new one for me." She said with a grin. She then spoke in Elven so the Breton wouldn't understand. "I'll have to tell you my story in our native tongue so he doesn't know. I can't tell everybody or else it could cause trouble." Miarenus said. She switched back to English. "Answering your question yes we can sleep here tonight. Preferably in the barracks where the fireplace is." Miarenus said walking to the stairs to go to the barracks.

Elanin squints her eyes at Miarenus, giving her a dirty look. In Elven Elanin snaps back, "well I'm not actually tired first off. And secondly, I may not be the best at spell casting but I can put two and two together... you look like your not particurly happy about this Breton.... having second thoughts?" Elanin then smiles slyly. "And besides, how else am I going to get us alone so I can hear this story of yours?" Elanin then says out in English, "Sounds cozy."

Volian was off-put as he was told how the Collage was full of people who only study books. He was about to argue and say he had only picked up a few books in his entire career there, but he noticed they didn't trust him, best not to make any hostile argument. Upstairs was a large room he didn't remember being dragged through, but he thought nothing of it; he was probably knocked out anyways.

"Well I don't know what you are thinking, but I haven't had any sort of comfortable sleep in days; I will gladly take an stiff bed!"

Miarenus found the room and started a fire. The bandits had already set up the fireplace. "Thank you bandits." Miarenus said sarcastically sitting down on one of the beds and only taking off her bag and dagger. She waited for Elanin to do the same with another bed across from her. Miarenus watched as the Breton looked for one himself.

Elanin got the message and also say down on the bed across from Miarenus. In elven she says, "I wonder why the Breton hasn't asked what we are talking about..."
