Is there a spot for someone wielding weapon magic?
Pulling out a firey sword from thin air seems like a fun thing to do. Or just have a navel-sheathed longsword (or something otherwise impossible like that)
Will the school only have "good" magi, or is it ok to have a character that isn't bothered by scruples, morals or other inconveniences? What about magi with tendencies towards insanity?
At first the unholy region seemed nice, but the sub-classes available just would not fit quite right... not evil enough... We couldn't see a branch there for yanking out someone's skeleton or means of exposing someone to demonic possession on a whim...
we'll stick with Weapons magics... We see great mishaps coming from it...

Also this is a school, so your like 13-18 years old; yanking someones skeleton out is horribly misplaced for someone at that age. Also I'd say that preforming such magic would be extremely difficult for an apprentice; not to mention the fact that there are defense runes outside of the classrooms throughout the school as I have heard. Good luck killing someone.
oh, that would be a personal style. We've long had a habit of acting in several roles at the same time, and thus writing in plural.
the skeleton thing was a small joke, you should from your avatar be able to place its source... You're right it would be rather difficult, if not nearly impossible.
However, the intended point is that the "unholy" magics seem to be defined from a seemingly "holy" view. It appears to be focused into only the mildest of unholy things, with little sight towards true evil. With essentially only spells in the area of drain energy, wound & kill servants of the light, it seems to lack something.
Where's the part about causing plain havoc or causing innocents to be possessed? (of course, a low-level mage causing others to be possessed would only be able to bring forth weak demons and/or very short-term possessions, learning more with time)
Of course, if this is nitpickety, please tell us so, and we'll avoid continuing that.
