"I hope you're right. It's silly of me....I shouldn't fear him. He's nothing like the men my mother...." she trailed off, looking down to hide her tears. "At any rate, I love him dearly."

"And I'm sure he loves you just as much and he's going to do anything to help you."

[Cecily Phantom]

Fiala gave a small nod and gently played with her hair. She wasn't sure what to say next.

"...You know, for a Reaper...And from past meetings I've had with him, I'm surprised he cares so much about someone. Your father, put lightly, has always come off to us as...Well, cold."

[Cecily Phantom]

Fiala smiled. "Yes....it tends to be that way. He's afraid of betrayal. I doubt he loved my mother at all."

"Perhaps he did...If he didn't, would he have had a daughter with her? Would he have had you?"

[Cecily Phantom]

Fiala shrugged. "He left not long after that....because she started drinking. Would a man who loved the mother of his daughter leave just because of that?"

"...Maybe there was more to it...?" Ciel suggested, "Maybe there's more to the story than just that..."

[Cecily Phantom]

"I hope so...." Fiala said, giving him a small smile. "Do you think dinner's ready?"

"Perhaps. Shall we check? We can ask Sebastian to call you just Fiala."
