The Triwizard Tournament (Harry Potter RP Interest Check)

Hello everyone.

It's been seventeen years since the third Triwizard Tournament was held at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Due to the shocking events that took place during this particular tournament, however, the Ministry of Magic declared the infamous tradition "indefinitely banned".

For over a decade now, the Ministry has received countless petitions while enduring dozens of protests held outside their walls; all demanding the competition be reinstated for its cultural and historic values. Finally, after much time and debate, the Ministry has reluctantly agreed to hold the Triwizard Tournament once again at Hogwarts as a trial to decide whether the tradition continues or ceases to exist.

The classic three schools shall participate this upcoming year: Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, Durmstrang Institute, and of course, the host school Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Each will be represented by one champion (selected by the Goblet of Fire) who is at least 16 years of age and signs a waiver agreeing to the risks of participating. These champions will then compete in three tasks that shall test their strength, intelligence, and overall character. Awaiting the winner at the finish line of the tournament will be three prizes: The Triwizard Cup, a thousand Galleons, and glory for their school.


(That's the basic, vague idea for this RP. It's obviously still a work in progress, but I just want to see if anyone's interested as of right now. Feel free to ask any questions or give any suggestions.)
