I'd be interested in creating one. Since the aliens in Stargate are mostly based on history, let's pick some history. Egyption, Norse, Catholic and I believe a few greco-roman gods are taken. Vampires are essentially covered by the wraith. What does that leave?

We could make a race based almost exclusively on Greek mythology, as opposed to having a few Asgard and Goa'uld that have those names. I mean, where the Goa'uld are Egyptian and the Asgard are Norse, this new race will be Greek.
Or we could do something based on Lycans.

Well greek was based on Roman. Ancients have Roman stuff pretty well covered.
Werewolves have their basis in Germanic myth, I believe. along with Faeries.

Yeah, okay. So something other than the Milky Way and the Pegasus. What Galaxy are the Asgardians from? We could explore their galaxy now that they're gone. Maybe face some of the threats that they had to face including pockets of surviving replicators.
