Hairstyle: Varies from day to day; in most cases, he is content to let it do as it wishes, but while on the job, he usually brushes it back over his ears and attempts to make it look presentable.
Eye color: Green
Tattoos: Chinese characters for “Live long and prosper” on his left shoulder.
Personality: Adam’s dry, self-deprecating sense of humor and easygoing nature make him very easy to get along with, but he often falls to biting sarcasm in times of stress. His friends describe him as having an "on/off" switch that allows him to go from lighthearted and joking to deadly serious in the blink of an eye.
Likes: Adam enjoys social outings as much as the next man but, as an introvert at heart, he likes peace and quiet when possible. He has a broad taste in music and enjoys a wide variety of modern media. Adam is also a bit of a hoarder, and as such, his apartment is typically cluttered with odd items of seemingly no value.
Dislikes: Adam has little tolerance for ignorance or arrogance in any fashion, and it is typically when dealing with people displaying these qualities that his exceptionally even temper flares up. His pet peeves include reality stars, bad table manners, telemarketers and dogeared books.
Fears/phobias: Adam has intense Trypanophobia, or fear of injections, a fact which he is embarrassed about and refuses to reveal to all but his closest friends. While not a phobia, he is far from fond of heights and crowded spaces.
Profession: Adam works as a customer service agent for a local grocery store.
Talents/skills (physical and mental)
Combat: Adam trained in Tae Kwon Do extensively for many of his teenage years, but as he grew older, college became a priority and he dropped out of martial arts shortly after acquiring his first degree black belt. It has been several years since he has taken a class, but he has retained, if nothing else, the ability to throw a respectable strike.
Additionally, Adam holds a concealed carry license and is proficient in the maintenance and operation of handguns. While nothing out of the ordinary, he is a consistently decent shot and knows how to keep his firearms clean and functional.
Mental: Adam’s easygoing persona conceals a very analytical mind. He has a tendency to overthink any given scenario, which can often lead to his missing the obvious. While not a genius by any stretch of the imagination, he is exceptionally creative and performed at an above-average level during his school years.
Miscellaneous: Adam jogs on a regular basis and has above-average stamina. Additionally, he was a member of a Boy Scouts group as a young teenager and still knows the generalities of basic survival techniques such as starting a fire and assembling a splint.
Items carried: Flip-top Motorola Razor cell phone. Leather wallet with identification, driver’s license, debit card and forty-three dollars in cash. Browning 111D folding lockback knife.
Normally carries a Smith & Wesson 4006. However, he is currently not carrying it as his concealed carry license is not valid in Minnesota.
Background/history: Adam grew up in an average, middle-class household several miles outside of Bossier City, Texas. Growing up, he was a popular member of the local school and lived a fairly normal life; he had a lot of friends, kept his nose clean, and got along with his family.
It wasn’t until his late teenage years, when Adam’s mother was the victim of a brutal homicide, that his life began to fall apart. In the ensuing years, Adam’s father became a depressed, withdrawn drunk, and Adam was forced to move out of the house at the age of eighteen in an attempt to scrounge together a life for himself since his father was unable to keep food on the table.
Adam spent the next several years in college while boarding for free at a close friend’s house, scraping together the money for tuition by working a variety of odd jobs and a part-time position at a local grocery store. With little else to focus on, he poured himself into his studies, graduating with a master’s degree in marketing.
This degree went to little use, however, as he was the victim of an in-company scam that left him fired with a black mark on his record. After six months of unemployment, Adam managed to get a position in customer service at a local grocery store, and has worked the job steadily for the last two years.
