It is for people like me that, on the eighth day, God said," Let there be firearms."

And God saith unto him,"And here is my Eleventh commandment: Thou shalt not get caught."

To those that dare take me too seriously, I say," I am the living proof that God hath a sense of humor!"

If it would help, I could tell you that this character's theme would be "Mind Over Matter".

His ability list would include psychokinesis, teleportation and psionic energy manipulation (blasts, barriers and constructs).

Ah whoops. Posted a bit late.

Perhaps then a far younger version of this character, only having recently discovered his abilities and having very little control over them. And perhaps others see his potential to become a HD-level, and seek to manipulate or control him.

Oh and, just as a boost to my ego, which threads with my posts did you look over?

I plan on submitting another character sometime before the RP starts, but here's my first one for now.

    Villain name: Reverb

    Age: Forty-five

    Sex: Male

    Height: 5'10"

Weight: One hundred and twenty pounds.

Appearance: Timothy Crooner is a somewhat average-looking man, as a middle-aged fellow he is beginning to wrinkle, a prominent crow's feet already formed at his eyebrows from constant frowning. Overall, Tim's facial features droop into almost hawk-like proportions, and his eyes are a watery shade of brown. Freckles mar his face, also. His hair is a deep grey, almost black, beginning to fade to white around his crown.

His actual body is, well, picture a middle-aged man's body and you'll get the picture. Gangly, beginning to develop a bit of a paunch, very thin and stringy limbs. Timothy could be described as a scarecrow quite accurately. He isn't scarred overmuch or tattooed, though he certainly has a couple faded wounds, one running horizontally across his shoulder blades, the other a thick scar vertically bisecting his lower torso.

In costume, Timothy stands about two inches higher than usual, thanks to raised soles in his flared, knee high boots, without laces. The main colour of his costume is a navy-blue, aside from the portions that cover his ribs and underarms, which are white. The zipper and raised outlines are all golden. His outfit is reminiscent of old-timey heroes, his icon displayed prominently on his chest, yet also on his outer shoulders. He wears three-finger gloves that reach to mid-forearm and are flared like his boots, the gloves coloured the same as his outfit. His lower body is garbed in nylon leggings that have jagged lines of white, outlined in light gold running down the outer leg. Upon his head, Tim has a cowl that leaves lower face open, though that is concealed behind a voice-altering mask reminiscent of old science fiction robots. LED lights that come on when he speaks, etc.

When not causing havoc, Timothy wears what other men his age wear; turtle necks, button-down shirts in plaid, trousers, over-polished leather shoes and pince-nez.

    Secret Identity: Timothy Crooner.

    Theme: Sound, music.

Icon(If your costume has a symbol on it, like Superman's S, describe it here): Reverb's icon is a picture of a blue sound wavelength on a white background.

Territory(Where your hero is usually based): Los Angeles.
Day job: Disc Jockey for a small radio station.

Powers(Remember your theme!): Utilizes both home-fashioned tools and chemically induced powers to manipulate varying types of sounds and resonances. Things like inducing incapacitating motion sickness, creating tremors.

Tier: Street, very low Block Buster.

Background: Timothy, like almost everyone of his generation and relative age, was thrust very suddenly into a world where superheroes existed, and that comics and such were actually less entertaining than the real-life exploits. Something was always a little off with little Timmy, his eagerness to play the villain to his friends' superhero/ess always a little too exuberant. More than once, he would get into fights over whether Lady Liberty had actually beaten the Axis war machine with such sterling success. As he grew into a teenager, Timothy flaunted the law, being very much the stereotype to persist for many decades, chain-smoking, leather-jacket-wearing hoodlum that rode a motorcycle and spent too much time with a comb and a bottle of grease. Once, when returning home after a particularly rousing band practise, Tim got his first taste of real crime when he happened upon a couple of thugs robbing a jewelry shop, and persuaded them to bribe his silence. He then proceeded to rat them out and pocket the civilian's reward.

It wasn't until his late twenties that Tim first donned the identity of Reverb, albeit in a much more old-fashioned costume, sporting a cape and all the trimmings, and a regular pistol instead of his current arsenal. Robberies of all kinds were to his liking, up until he was defeated after ten years of mayhem, by El Archangel. While in prison, Tim befriended a somewhat kooky scientist who had heard of his exploits and offered him the chance to become more powerful than El Archangel.

After an escape attempt, powered along by a jail breaker hired by the scientist's assistant, Tim was used as a guinea pig for an experiment with a volatile and pretty unstable chemical that the scientist dubbed "Eligo Alpha" considering it's untested effects.

The chemical transformed Tim from a regular criminal in spandex into a true super-criminal with real powers, which promptly wrecked the lab through Tim's inability to control them. With the lab in ruins and the only formula for Eligo Alpha now only existing in the mind of a mad scientist, Tim decided to get rid of the last of the evidence by calling in the cops as soon as he exited the lab, using his new power to cover his tracks in every way. Reverb was free once more, yet Tim didn't don his alter-ego for another half-decade, to be sure he had faded from the Archangel's memory.

In the last two years, though, Reverb has made a re-apperance in the City of Angels, striking at random across the city to much chagrin from the law enforcement.

    (Thanks a whole ton, Adjective.)

Vulgarth, I'm not GM or anything, but the initial post did say to keep your character's territory in America to make it easier for the characters to interact with one another.

Sorry, I think I read the opening page, saw the bit about Chicago and Seattle and then missed the portion about being restricted to USA and Canada. My bad!

But thank you for accepting him.

Anti-Hero Name: Septem - Which is Latin for Seven, her lucky number.

    Age: 26

    Sex: Female

    Height: 5'10"

    Weight: 131 lbs.

    Appearance:

Secret Identity: Her real name is Zoe Standifer. She is a library assistant for her local community library. She is the youngest of all of her co-workers.

    Theme: Specialized, Self-Designed Thief

Icon: She has none but she is Queen, with a capital 'Q', of black skin-tight suits that help her blend in and getting a job done when using her stealth and trickery. She always wears her hair up in a high ponytail and wears fashionable, black over-the-knee high boots with her suits.

    Territory: Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.

    Day Job: Library Assistant

Powers: She doesn't have any powers but she has always been a natural-born and agile acrobat. Her abilities do include lock picking, security circumvention, intrusion specialist, pickpocket, and mixed martial artist.

Tier: Block Buster (This depends because she's an anti-hero.)

Background: Little is known about the woman known only as Zoe Standifer. Her early life in the foster system was wrought with abuse, neglect, and several early traumas that have left her emotionally scarred to the point where her emotional responses are skewed. Before she was 12 she was a getaway driver. Some time after that she met a boy called Kelly in foster care, and he taught her how to boost cars. They worked together as a team until they boosted a bait car. He escaped the police, leaving her to serve 6 months in juvie.

She seems to be constantly testing her skills, as she can instinctively case any building she sees. She also seems to have the ability to appear and disappear from locked rooms at will. As a thief, Zoe uses little equipment other than a self-modified harness. (This harness has resulted in excellent upper body strength.)

Since trust doesn't come easily to her she has varied relationships with everyone.

Her only motivation appears to be money. She steals, not for property, or assets, but for cash. She has a rather unconventional relationship with cash, and has the ability to tell the difference between counterfeit and legitimate money by scrutinizing, touching, and even smelling it.
