I foresee that Christy is really going to have to prove herself useful to the group, considering that she was born shortly before the dragons were born and she hardly remembers a time without them. She had no time to grow up like the rest of them did, with a nice childhood and a chance at education.

Craythey, I thought the same thing when I read your CS. The same is true of the younger children being raised in the castle by the "community". On another note, Christy will undoubtedly have a high stamina level and resillience to pain and miserable conditions. Walking from Mississippi to Maine is an amazing feat. If you survive, you are hard; you can withstand any punishment. For someone so young to do this, it is a sign of great resilience.

It would make for a very boring role play if everyone was the same, and everyone could defend themselves etc. I am actually going to edit Katie to make her more "Damsel in distress"

As for equipment guys, only the Slayers really need to post that. Those living in the community live by a shared rule, everything belongs to everyone. Only those in security, protection, scavenging or positions of leadership within the community would have access to weapons. The odd little weapon is all right, but please don't give them an entire arsenal or else it takes away from the struggle that they are all in. The basic plot of this rp is that they are running out of everything and the attacks are getting more frequent. Only when the slayers arrive, do the community actually have hope.

I'm glad my character was well received. Unfortunately, no, I currently reside in IL but I've always been interested in the Boston area. Thanks for the offer, Gunther, I'd actually like to take you up on that! Do you have any tips to aid in the realism/plausibility of my character's backstory or perhaps how he should react to certain questions (like 'what was it like in combat?' that kind of stuff).

I appreciate all the help, and I'm looking forward to getting this started!

And, to avoid a thousand more to do with this, will I be kinda free to add my own flavor to them if I do play their leader? I know that's kinda broad, but if I can't take some liberties then I'll have a lot more questions.

How many slayers are there? That is up to you and the other slayer. I would put a cap on around 20.
