Medeval, just like every other one!
1700's, based off Imperial Age.
1800's, repeating rifles!

To quote Yahtzee: "Elves and dwarfs, elves and dwarfs, Elves and fucking dwarfs, and wizards."
But in all seriousness, I'm interested. But as for the time period, I've always been interested to see what happens when you mix medieval-fantasy-style magic with modern/postmodern technology.
In a world beyond controlling...
...are you going to deny the saviour in front of your eyes?

Well, i came from another website where I had a Fantasy set in 1958(with some differences). I had great plans for it, but that website is almost dead.

As for the minotaurs, I wasn't really going to go into that much detail, but that seems minotaury, so I'll likely do that.

Also, I'm slowly getting the thread up, it'll probably be done by Monday, and my exams end on the 5th, so i'll be open to roleplay a lot.

Tranor, now I know you said the dragons are exclusive and don't bother much with the affairs of others, but since the war is happening what else would you have them do other than call upon the armies? (It's just to get an idea for what my character would be doing when the actual IC gets up.)
If this leans towards freeform, collaborative world-building and storytelling, then I'd be down for playing in it - not a fan of rigid, structured, totally mapped out settings, though. While those are fun to read about, they're not much fun to play in (for me).
This sounds really interesting! A few questions, though: How common is magic, and how feared is it? How is it used, and what sort of people can use it? How powerful can/do users typically become? And lastly, are there any gods who are observably present? Thanks!
It is totally sandbox and free roam, i like threads like that. As for Dragons, each castle abides by different rules, remember that. You can be a lone dragon if you wish. As for what would dragons be doing? Either finding treasure, or fighting the "Darkness" to the West. Also, the dragons and most other races are being slowly forced into the human wars, and fighting the darkness.
Magic, is something I'm not typically strong on. Magic is common, everyone knows about it. Anyone can learn it, but some are stronger than others when using it. It also takes quite a bit of education to learn magic. Although certain people are born with natural talent for it. And as how magic works, you can pretty much use it however you wish(within reason). But the more powerful the magic, the more learned you have to be, and the more energy it takes away from you. If you use too much, you risk fainting, coma, or death.

Also, for Gods. I was thinking of making one or two human nations Catholic, to fit the Imperial Age theme. The other humans and races will worship some sort of gods, varying by race, that will play a special role in magic.
