War over the Orb (Kethuel x Luna Griffith)

[Luna Griffith]

Ethelinda walked through the inner workings of the kingdom of the dragons of light, heading toward the throne room. The white dragon looked around the caverns, seeing other dragons heading toward the same room she was. The news must have been important to call every dragon. She wondered if Fafiner, the lord of the dark dragons, was up to something. She hoped that it wasn't war or anything of the sort. Maybe he was just stirring up trouble.

Fafiner's kingdom was across the vast forest in the Mountains of Twilight. He was a ruthless ruler, opposite of the Light King. He has been trying to take over their mountain range since he began his reign. Beyond the twin mountain ranges were the vast sea and islands galore. The world of the dragons were full of plenty of life, from plants to the animals that hid from the mighty beings. While the two kingdoms warred, they were balanced. If one over turned the other, then the world would fall apart.

"Pythius" rolled over his hoard, just waking up. He yawned. He stretched out on his pile of jewels and gold. He sidled over to the cave mouth, looking out onto lake Tachi. He looked around the mountains that hugged the lake. He stared at the other caves carved in the rock, but he saw no other dragons.
"Where are they... Oh shoot! That meeting thing!" he said to himself. He shook his body, preparing for flight. Some jewels that had stuck to his belly from last night dropped off. He launched himself out of his cave and headed straight for the Great Hall. He tucked his wings into a dive and fell quickly, banking right into the Hall afterwards.

Ethelinda sat in the great hall with the rest of the dragons, waiting on their King to speak. Before the mighty dragon could speak, in flew a bronze dragon. The white dragon sighed and shook her head as the dragon landed. The Silver King dragon looked at the male and rose a brow at him. He then looked at everyone else. "The Orb is in danger." Great gasps erupted at the mention of the orb. Everyone had thought that it was a myth. Once the out bursts died down, the king continued. "We have reason to believe that Fafiner has found out the location of the Orb."

Pythius saw the large crowd of dragons gathered in the hall. He landed smoothly, hardly making sound. Still though, he got a lot of raised eyebrows and looks like that. The King announced that Fafenir had found the location of the Orb. Wait, that was just a myth right? The Orb that granted nearly limitless power to its master? But it must be true, If the king was calling a council for it.

"What shall we do?" piped up one voice from the crowd.
"Fafenir has sent a squadron of dragons to retrieve the Orb. We must send our own to obtain the Orb first, or destroy the squadron." replied the King.

Pythius had been pushing his way through the crowd, and was now beside a white, female dragon. He had seen her around before. He thought he recollected that Ethelinda was her name. He leaned over and whispered to her,
"So what do you think?"

Ethelinda listened to the group of people talking. Everyone was holding their own miniature council. Each one babbling about what Fafiner was up to. She looked at the bronze dragon that had walked to her. "Well we would need a squadron, though I wonder if we really need to destroy anyone. Maybe we can get there faster, but we need to know where the orb is at." She whispered to the bronze dragon. She didn't remember his name at the moment.

"If anyone knows, It'll be Jormungandr.((pronounced your moon gander))" He whispered back. Jormungandr was the cleverest dragon known, and one of the oldest. He was an advisor to the king. Pythius had heard he had been doing research about the orb.
"Do you think he made a discovery about the orb?"

[Luna Griffith]

Ethelinda shrugged. She looked around the hall. "It is possible, but how did Fafiner find out about it? Was he doing his own research?" She asked. She was a curious dragon and not much of a fighter. She was a thinker, more fit for the library than anything else. She wonder where Jormungandr was. He was the dragon to know the most about the Orb, even it's power.

Pythius looked around. Why wasn't Jormungandr here, advising the king? Maybe something had happened to him!
"Where is he? Usually he goes everywhere with the king.If somethiń has happened to him, we have to go and find him! Let's check his cave first."
Pythius spun on his heels, heading thriugh the crowd. He peeked his head over the other dragons.
"Well? Aren't you coming?" he asked.

Ethelinda looked around and couldn't find Jormungandr. She sighed as she wondered where he was at. She looked at the bronze dragon as he suggested looking in his cave. She nodded and stood up. She moved to follow him. She narrowed her eyes as he asked if she was coming. What did it look like she was doing? Dancing? She kept her thoughts to herself as she followed him.

Pythius launched out of the Hall with a few stern flaps of his wings. He caught an updraft and glided upwards in a spiral, towards Jormungandr's cave. He landed not so well this time- he made a thunk. Jormungandr's cave began with a corridor of stone, which turned to the right. He slowly approached the bend.
"Jormungandr?" he asked.
"Yes?" replied a deep, cracked voice from inside the cave. It did not sound well. It coughed once or twice.
