There would be no official announcement this time, Liaison was far to on edge for something like that. Instead, letters were dropped into the rooms of the final fours, detailing where they would do battle and against whom. He had one of his attendants to do it for him, he needed to regroup, he was still seething inside due to the craftiness of Alphonse. He had underestimated the Warrior and now was paying dearly for it. All would be right soon, he just had to wait it out.

For now, he moved back into the observation room with the others and silently started to watch the monitors. Someone asked who would fight whom, and Liaison told them.

“In each of their letters, they’ve received a location and their opponent. Necroloth, will face Jynx, in the Archipelago. While, Sigurd will find himself faced with Xeelov Def, in the Mao Temple Grounds.” He turned away from the man and focused back on the monitors. He could feel the condescending eyes of Joseph on him while he communicated with Skallagrim.

“Soon,” Liaison said to himself as he went back to watching the screens.

    Abrupt Leave

With his eyes casted towards the woman, Xeelov suddenly spotted movements behind her. He tilted his head slightly to get a better view at the attendant who'd just walked past the entrance and heading towards the combatants' room. Unmistakenly, there were envelopes in the man's hand. His smile slowly vanished as his curiosity on the activity beyond the cafeteria beckoned him. Was it another task like the one he'd gotten when he first entered? Not too long after, the man returned empty handed followed closely by one of the participants who seemed rather hasty in his walk. Something was definitely happening, something different than the usual. Disturbed, Xeelov immediately stood and grabbed his weapon.

"It seemed that fate have got plans for us.. Perhaps it was saving our conversation for later.."

Or simply to not make your condition worse when you hear about my death...

"I've got to go.." with that said, the Lieutenant left without taking another glance over his shoulder.

As soon as he exitted the cafeteria, he shifted his gaze towards where the Necroloth was headed to; the portal. His steps turned briskly. Wondering just where did the participant just went. Was it the letter? Or was he abandoning the tournament? Finally standing by his doorway with the letter in hand, he understood. It was a silent activation this time. Indeed it was something that hadn't happened at least for the first two rounds.

Xeelov tossed the note before making his own way towards the teleportation chamber. So his fight this time round would be the same man who'd rescued the slave-woman from attempting at taking her own life. Admittedly, he wasn't as surprised as he thought he should be at the accomplishments achieved by his opponent.

    -Expect the unexpected!-

A phrase imprinted into his head since his recruiting years as a Soldier.

-Underestimate not your enemy, especially those who seemed feeble!-

Just like how he'd treated Arcana despite his confidence. Sadly, these words weren't said by his direct superior, instead it was mentioned by Zeth Havoc. So with that couple of advice from his memory banks, Xeelov stepped into the portal and headed for Mao Temple Grounds as stated in the letter.

    No option

Sigurd lay peacefully in his room, recuperating what strength he had lost over the last two bouts. His rest was interrupted by the arrival of a short letter, announcing both his opponent and his battleground.

“Xeelov Dev” He mouthed silently. Looking up to the screens and again seeing the warrior beheaded by the cool and merciless soldier. Like Sigurd, Xeelov was a warrior who had seen war first hand, he had thought alongside men and he had killed them in the score. Perhaps that is what set them out as semi-finalists, they had both shed more blood than a man should. It was only fitting that they fought to the death in a tournament aptly named ‘Blood Shed’.

The man fought with a two handed blade, and also had two long swords strapped to his back which Sigurd assumed he was adept with. It would be an interesting fight no doubt, but it was one Sigurd could not afford to lose.

He thought of his father, his brother and late Mother.
    He thought of his son.
    Xeelov must fall.

The Dragon Slayer stood purposely, and equipped himself with his armour and weaponry. His shield snuggly held in his left arm. He strode through the lobby without a second glance, all too aware that this could be his last fight.

He entered the teleporter and readied himself mentally for a duel to the death.

“Typical Jynx,” Liaison said, as he peered down the table and towards the monitors. It seemed Jynx had found a way to escape the reservation and had left his opponent, the mighty Necroloth, high and dry. “It seems, Joseph, that your target has fled.” A sly smile reached across his face, as his fingers slid across the futuristic keyboard in front of him. Two fights came up - one contained Necroloth, whom was waiting for his late opponent, and the other contained Xeelov and Sigurd, both engaged in a battle. “Now how to remedy this situation? Perhaps, I can kill two birds with one stone.” Never did his eyes leave Joseph, nor his son, Kaige - the former of which was still involved in a heavy conversation with Skallagrim.

    “Aha!

“Ladies and Gentlemen, if you’ll excuse me.”

With that, he was gone and the three remaining fighters were plucked from reality.
