The Lime Lit Skyway[Asperser vs. Cactus Please]
Alois stood braced by the sun at the top of the world, overlooking the vast sky kingdom that he had heard so much about in legends, the mythical ruined city of Siridee. The city itself was a sad collection of archaic buildings strewn across the clouds in a crisscrossing fashion. Floating heaps of stone twirled and smashed into one another like bulls racing headlong into a solid wall. A splintering crack snapped into the air as one tower fell onto another splitting it in half and showering the smaller pieces below it in avalanche of debris, breaking many of the other stones into yet more rubble and coating the white clouds below a hazy gray. It was hard to believe that he was really here. At this place and time, overlooking the stony carcass of what was once the most powerful nation in the world.
It had taken three days on land and two months at sea to reach this far into the heartland of the Sky King’s domain. Alois could only hope that at the end of the trip it would have been worth it for him and his beloved. He never did take disappointment too well whenever it he endangered his lover’s life. Alois stepped down the stairs from the hill he stood on and headed towards the massive bridge that connected one floating land mass to another. The center of the city was a half a day’s journey. He would make it there by nightfall if nothing happened until then.
As Alois drew closer to the bridge he noticed stubs of green in between the cobbled stones, following the bridge far into the horizon on either side. The lime lit skyway. So that’s where this bridge got its name.

Cactus wandered through the seemingly endless plain as he looked for the bridge they called, The Lime-Light Skyway. Wherever he looked there was more plain and trees, and an abundance of more nature of varying sorts. He kept walking forward, his hand firm on the hilt of his sword, in case of anything dangerous popping out, "You never know what could happen.", He kept telling himself.
Then he saw it, on the horizon, a bridge with a touch of green patterned in several places.
"That has to be the Lime-Lit Skyway..."He thought to himself, awed at the sight he was seeing. He started running towards the bridge, he wanted to see the Archaic City everyone had been talking about before the day ended, he wanted to see what it looked like, in it's profound fame in the daylight, before the moon shines it's misty glow on it.
Cactus stopped suddenly. he had a clearer view of the bridge, but, before the bridge, was a figure, standing stationary before the bridge. He felt his grip on his sword tighten, he didn't know who this person was, or if they were hostile, he thought he better approach cautiously, in case the worst happens...
((Is this ok?))

A boy walked cautiously to Alois as the massive knight turned another corner of the main bridge just under the floating debris of the tower that had perilously wrecked itself earlier and split apart into a million pieces. Parts of the tower's massive frame remained intact: the balcony, the pointed tips of the roof, and fragments of the stone stairs that drifted above the bridge in a halo like ring. A piece of the tower's wall rolled too close to the bridge and crashed into the sides, shaking the thing and anything on it as if it were an angry serpent. Alois steadied himself as the tower wall rolled off the top of the bridge and into the distance, taking care to stick as close to the ground as he dared before the tremors subsided and the bridge was once again still.
The last thing the knight wanted was to be thrown off the bridge and into the ocean of clouds where certain death was guaranteed. Better safe than dead. Alois stood himself up as the boy approached and then drew out the gigantic nine-foot great sword on his back as a precaution. He could see the boy had his hand on the hilt of his blade. His height and girth gave him an advantage should the boy strike first, but Alois knew better than to underestimate a child. They could be vicious given a blade and given a chance. He would make sure he never got the latter.
“Boy!” boomed Alois as the kid drew closer. “I don’t know why you have come to this place, but turn back now. This is no place for a child. Especially one as small as yourself. The secrets of this place are MINE and my beloveds alone.”

Cactus body shook as a great voice boomed across the plain, telling him to turn back. His grip on his sword tightened more, "This guy could be waiting backstab me with that sword of his." He thought.
"Why?" He asked, trying to sound confident. "I don't mean to intrude, but I'm just here for sightseeing, is there a problem with that?" He added, sternly though, he saw no need to be fully polite to a person who called him a boy. Cactus took another step forward.
"I don't really care who you are, but you aren't stopping me from sightseeing this place, no matter what you say." He said, trying to intimidate this man, although he was unsure if it was working. he slowly unsheathed his sword a centimetre out.

There was a loud crack as Alois brought his sword down hard onto the stone pavement in a show of anger, leaving a sizeable fracture on the stone bridge. If there was ever a fool to challenge someone larger, heavier, better armed and better experienced this boy was it. Did the child think he had a chance against a knight who had broken through the gates of hell itself to come back to life? Did he think himself brave with his flimsy undrawn sword and paper thick shield. The poor fool. He had no idea what he was up against.
“May those be your last words, boy.”
The knight heaved his sword over his head and back onto his shoulders and broke into a long stride towards the child, covering the distance between them with surprising speed. He moved, not like a man in armor would move, but as if the armor itself was his whole body. Every joint, every clattering plate seemed to flex at each motion. Alois drew in close enough to the child and then swung, twisting his body sideways and bringing the full weight of the gigantic black sword down upon the boy’s shoulder. The sword’s immense length which had been partially obscured by the knight’s shoulder plates allowed the knight to strike farther and sooner than many would have expected. At nine feet long the knight’s greatsword was nearly three times the size of the average broadsword, making it more of a lance than a cutting blade. Many had misjudged the length of blade only to find out much too late after being cleaved in half. Alois wondered if this boy would be the same.

Cactus eyes widened at the Man's response, finding the Man almost to him, and ready to swing his sword, there was something about the sword, it was huge, Cactus wondered if he had time to parry or jump or whatever, everything he thought of would mean the end of something useful in his repertoire. He decided wreathe his sword in shield in Earth, making the metal more resistant and less flimsy, and charged straight at the man, thinking iyt would either catch him off guard or have him redirect his swing, as he dashed, he saw the true length of the blade, and grew worried, it has a lot bigger than he realised, he had to move quickly. He kept charging at the man, now wreathing his sword in flames, trying to warn him to back off, he wasn't some kid that has a sword and shield, he had training in more than basic swings.
"What's your problem, man?" He yelled, now pondering this, he only wants to see the city, it's not like he's going to defile anything.....was he?
He was charged right past the man, now facing his back, he aimed a swing at the man's back.

Alois wasn’t fooled by the boy’s tricks. He shifted his weight as the boy brought his shield up, striking the buckler lightly at its center and then twisting his body sideways to force the boy’s arm back. He kept the tip of his sword over the center of the buckler, preventing the kid from moving forward. There was no point in trying to cut through buckler. The boy would simply deflect the slash, leaving him open for a counter. No. Instead, the knight would make use of the weight of his armor and his strength to force the boy back. Alois pushed his sword forward against the boy's shield to fling the child backwards and leave the kid open for a strike.

Cactus could feel his body sliding back as the Man's Sword was pushing his buckler back. Damn, he's strong! He thought as he tried to think, "I'm not strong enough to push his sword back, and if I keep this up any longer I'll be either shield-less or life-less. Cactus Suddenly had an idea, he shifted his body to the side, so his sword arm was free to move around, "Hope this works..." Cactus lit his sword on fire, the flames enveloping the steel and tickling his wrist. "FIRE!" he yelled, as the fire propelled at the man's sword hand, he was trying to make the man drop his sword from the flames or be distracted dodging it, so that Cactus could free himself and find some space, this man was experienced, he'd probably have to use his Sword magic to at least wear him down.

“Crueler yet, and crueler still,” said a young girl. Alois turned to face the voice, still paying attention to the boy to where his sword lay. Half annoyed, the knight knew who it was. It was her. His beloved. The golden haired girl sleeping inside his armor, immersed in a water as black as night. She spoke to him through telepathy, not angry or upset, but amused like a person who had received an unexpected gift.
“Looks like you got yourself into trouble,” she said. “I thought we weren’t expecting anyone until dusk.”
She traced fingers on the insides of the armor, examining the glowing runes she had placed on them earlier. The girl could feel the knight’s thoughts, and he could feel hers. It was warm. Loving. Gentle. She merely wanted to know what happened and at the touch of her mind onto his, Alois told her what she wanted to know.
“Side tracked,” he replied telepathically, brushing aside the flames bursting from the boy’s sword with his sword. “It is nothing, but a passing flea.”
“Careful,” she yawned, stretching inside the damp cramped space within him. “You are a sore loser.”
“I’ll take it to heart my beloved. Now go back to sleep. You have yet to recover from our last fight.”
“Hmm. If you say so.”
The girl drifted back into sleep, settling back into her watery bed. It would take a good day’s rest before she could fully recover. Less if she actually did sleep and wasn’t periodically awakened by a child’s inept attempts to throw him off balanced. Ridiculous. The kid was mocking him with these paltry attacks. A fire attack against a person full clad in armor? Alois gripped the hilt of his sword and then slammed the butt end into the boy’s buckler in order to lower the boy’s guard after deflecting his flame. Unlike the kid, the knight did not need to use magic to solve his problems.
He was a righteous sword, one that cuts through all obstacles. He does not hide in tricks. He does not dabble in mind games. He was an unstoppable force that pushed forward, breaking past all defenses, and ripping apart anything that stopped him, and no god much less a kid would stop him dead in his tracks. Alois closed in the distance, expecting the boy to still be recovering from his blow, and swung his sword in over his head, aiming to split the boy in half from his head down.
The boy would try to move his shield to block the blow like he did earlier, but his arm would be rattled with fatigue, weary from having a nine foot sword slammed into it like a hammer. Yes. The boy would try to defend himself. If he had the stamina to do it, then perhaps the shield would be over his head in time.
