tourney ideas (please vote)

so, i have 2 ideas for battle tournament roleplays

1st

What would you guys say of an RP fighting tourney where all of the contestants were inspired from signs from the zodiac? I'm thinking just the 12 western ones to start with , but if a lot of people show interest i wouldn't mind adding in the 12 chinese signs as well.

NOTE: I know that there's a certain popular anime (forget the name) that supposedly has a concept similar to this, but i'm not looking to make this rp anything like it.



2nd.

this idea is a bit more developed and intricate, probably would have to go in advanced.

Basically it's a tournament where everyone is in pairs. I don't mean everyone controls two characters. I mean literally you have to work WITH another player.

One thing that annoys me about roleplay is that there's only very rarely people who know how to work together, everyone wants to be big man on campus, this would be a nice little exercise in cooperative play.

the basic plot is that there are 12 humans who inherited the genes of the Incubus king (how this happened exactly will be explained if there is enough interest) and each possess a 'King Piece' inside them which corresponds to each kind of piece on a chess board (so black pawn, white pawn, black king, white queen etc). their piece determines which part of the incubus king's power they inherited.

In order to do battle each king candidate needs his own 'queen'. this queen is any woman that the king candidate had sexual intercourse with and, using his seed, turned into a succubus. Whether the queen is his lover, or just some hooker he happened to be with when his powers awoke, or a girl he raped, she is now bound to him and incapable of refusing his orders or harming him (not to say that she is inherently 'loyal' to him, simply that she is bound to his service).

so how it goes is that one player is the king, the other is the queen. the queen is the one with all the real supernatural powers, and the king is, by comparison, quite weak (just like in chess where the queen is the most powerful piece and the king is second only to the pawn in weakness). the tourney will be fought in battles of 2 on 2 and will end only when one of the kings is dead (a king can live without his queen, but a queen will die with her king).

as you defeat more and more people of your color you will absorb their pieces and add their powers to your own until one fighter for white and one fighter for black remain (though you can still fight and kill people of the other color so as to make the final battel easier for you, you will still absorb their piece you just won't be able to use their power). the winner is crowned the new King Incubus.

Well, I know there's a few zodiac themed Animes XD the only tournament based one i know of is called knights of the zodiac or something similar XD


My my though i like both options XD though only one issue on the second one, What about gay incubi? DX Cause I actually like incubus characters, whether the sex part is mixed in or not, their powers are fun to play with, Though i will admit I prefer the DMFA Style incubus more XD much less 'sex demon' based in origin XD

But yeah, I rather like both idess XD i'm surprised nobody else has noticed o.o You may need to simply make an interest check for both and name them something interesting, peopl eover look 'RP Ideas' threads I think Dx

yeah, i think you might be right about that. I think i will.

as for the gay incubi? i would actually welcome it fully, it would make things rather interesting, but the fact remains that one way or another, only succubi can be 'queens' so unless the gay incubus bites the bullet and makes himself a queen then he'll essentially be a sitting duck.

honestly if this ever goes beyond the int check stage i will be fully encouraging people to make their characters and pairings as fucked up as they want. hell, when this was still a story idea in my head the 'white king' was a 13 years old boy whose queen was his mother and, to get to the main character he kidnaped and raped his sister. the main character's queen was heavilly implied to have been engaging in schoolgirl prostitution before the beginning of the story, one of the 'kings' was a crazy, m to f transexual, the MC's best friend attempts to murder him within the first three chapters. Really it was just not a happy story lol (not to say EVERYONE was fucked up, but yeah, most of the cast had their... quirks, if you wanna call em that)

and the 'gay incubus' wouldn't mind being 'queen' as long as it doesn't turn him female >=C that defeats the purpose of being gay XD HAHAH.

And it never is a happy story with 'normal' incubi XD

Shall i assume the 'non kings' don't require female partners and instead have some other power? or is everyone 'like that' and is a fragile man who needs a pet woman? xD

lol. well here's what it is, all the incubi are king-candidates. each king-candidate posesses a king piece, a fragment of Cuben's power.

there are 12 king pieces, 6 white, 6 black, each given the name of a chess piece.

so there is the 'white king' king piece, just as there is the 'black pawn' king piece.

now, every king-candidate needs to choose his 'queen-candiate' (though they are only refered to as 'queens')

only succubi can be queens, so the incubus MUST have sex with a woman, which turns her into a succubus, which makes her his 'queen'.

it would be impossible for the gay incubus himself to be a queen because, firstly he's male, and secondly, the very fact that he is an incubus means that he holds a king piece inside of him.

that implies that there's only 12 incubi in the world period XD and blastit DX I can't play women for shit >.> that's descrimination yo XD

I kid, though why wouldn't he be able to just 'turn' a male candidate to act as his 'guardian' in place of a female? I mean what in the world would actually make that impossible? DX
