Basic Info: Tyr (pronounced TEER[1] ), also known as The Maimed God,[2] was a lawful good greater deity of law and justice and part of The Triad. His dogma was primarily concerned with the punishment of wrong-doers, and the general furthering of law and good in the world. Not coincidentally, these values are among those held by most paladins, many of whom were more than likely to follow The Triad,[1] as the patron of paladins Torm is one-third of the coalition.
Followers: The highly organized church of Tyr was strong in the more civilized lands of the Realms. They were known for never refusing service or aid to the faithful when they are in distress.[1] To keep Tyr's favor, one must respect fallen enemies, never make sacrifice of a corpse, and keep one's alignment lawful good. Tyr considered slaying agents of evil to be honorable and worthy of the highest praise.
In World Orders:
Knights of Holy Judgment
The Order of the Knights of Holy Judgment tends to attract the paladins who emphasize the "lawful" part of their dedication to Tyr.[3]
Knights of the Merciful Sword
The Order of the Knights of the Merciful Sword tends to attract the paladins who emphasize the "good" part of their dedication to Tyr.[3]
Hammers of Tribunal
The very elite of Tyr's paladins, members of the Hammers of Tribunal are chosen from the best of Tyr's the Knights of Holy Judgment and the Knights of the Merciful Sword.
Basic Info: Torm (pronounced TORM[4]), or The Loyal Fury, is the god of law and a lawful good greater deity whose portfolio consists of duty, loyalty, and righteousness. His symbol is a gauntlet, much like the symbol of the slain Helm, though specifically Torm's symbol is a right-hand gauntlet held upright with palm forward.
Followers: Torm's worshipers consist of those who favor the cause of both Good and Law. Righteousness, honesty, loyalty and truth are their primary pursuits. In the Post-Spellplague world, which is more dangerous and darker than ever, they shine as beacons of hope and courage.
In Game Orders:
Eye of Justice
This order based in Ravenmoor is considered heretical by many Tormites. The Order worships a form of Torm they refer to as the "Threefold God" which they believe to be a combination of Torm and the dead gods Tyr and Helm. Members of this sect have no pity or fear and often use tactics some would consider questionable. The Order attracts outcasts from other orders as well as people seeking redemption for evil acts.
Girded Healers
Members of this order worship both Torm and Ilmater. The primary purpose of this order is to heal those touched by war or the Necromantic Infection that have happened in the lands of Ethica.
Basic Info: Bahamut, also referred to as the God of Dragons or the Lord of the North Wind, is a powerful platinum dragon and the king of the good dragons.
Sages continue to debate whether he actually is a deity or not. According to draconic legend, he has existed since the beginning of time (which, in a dragon's reckoning is since the first dragon appeared on Toril). Whatever he is, he is certainly powerful and venerated by many good dragons and respected by evil ones. One of the most compassionate beings in Realmspace, his name is known throughout the Realmspace and in some aspect all over Toril.
Followers: The majority of Bahamut's worshipers prior to the Spellplague were metallic dragons. His few nondraconic clerics typically learned the Platinum Dragon's teachings at the foot of a wyrm, typically a gold or silver dragon in humanoid form. Teacher and student often traveled to see the effects of injustice and cruelty firsthand.[10]
In the aftermath of the Spellplague and following the death of Tyr during an attempted demonic invasion of Celestia, Bahamut gained the portfolio of justice and presumably gained many converts from the church of the Maimed God
In-game Orders:
The Platinum Cadre is an order of dragonborn knights from Tymanther, to the far east of Varisian.
Basic Info: Selūne (pronounced seh-LOON-ay[3]), also known as Our Lady of Silver and the Moonmaiden, is the goddess of the moon. She is also venerated in Faerūn as a goddess of light, stars, navigation, navigators, wanderers, questers, and goodly lycanthropes.
Followers: Selūne's clerics are a very diverse group, including sailors, non-evil lycanthropes, mystics, and female spellcasters. Her church's main objective is to fight evil lycanthropes and summon the Shards, blue-haired female planetar servants of Selūne, to battle the minions of her archnemesis and twin, Shar. The temple also performs fortune-telling, healing, and practices self-reliance and humility.
In-game Orders:
Swords of the Lady
One order of fanatic Selūnites is known as the Swords of the Lady, who are often referred to colloquially as the "Lunatics". Its members are led by a few Selūnite crusaders who tend to act rapidly in response to threats from Shar and her priesthood, although their behavior is often viewed as bizarre by the public at large.
Oracles of the Moon
The Oracles of the Moon is a group of female diviners who worship the Night White Lady. They perform fortune-telling rituals and are some of the highest bards and priests in the faith.
Basic Info: Oghma (pronounced OGG-mah [3]), also known as The Lord of Knowledge, is the neutral greater power of bards, inspiration, invention, and knowledge in Faerūn. Oghma is the leader of the Deities of Knowledge and Invention and his homeplane is the House of Knowledge. His symbol is a blank scroll.
Followers: Those who worship Oghma include artists, bards, cartographers, inventors, loremasters, sages, scholars, scribes and wizards—archivists, a generalist cleric prestige class, might pray to him as well. They can be of any alignment, unlike most neutral gods. They often wear Oghma's symbol, a silver scroll on a chain, as a necklace.
In-game Orders:
Companions of the Silver String
The Companions of the Silver String are heroic bards who acted valiantly at risk of their own lives in the service of the church of Oghma. They actively share knowledge of the neighboring lands and often call out their visions that are sent to them in Inns and rest areas.
Basic Info: Shar (pronounced SHAHR [2]), the Mistress of the Night, was the goddess of darkness, and the caverns of Faerūn, as well as a neutral evil greater deity. Counterpart to her twin Selūne, she presided over caverns, darkness, dungeons, forgetfulness, loss, night, secrets, and the Underdark. Among her array of twisted powers was the ability to see everything that lay or happened in the dark. Shar's symbol was a black disk with a deep purple border.
Followers: The clergy of Shar were a secretive organization that pursued subversive tactics rather than direct confrontation with its rivals. In addition to her clerics, Shar maintained an elite order of sorcerer monks who can tap Shar's Shadow Weave. Among her worshipers were the Shadovar of Tultanthar, who fled into the shadow plane before Karsus's Folly. Shar also held power over all who used the Shadow Weave.
In-game Orders:
Dark Justiciars
The Dark Justiciars was an honorary order or secret society within the priesthood of Shar. It was rumored that in order to gain admittance to the order of the Dark Justiciars, a priest of Shar had to have killed a priest of Selūne.
Basic Info: Lolth (pronounced LOALTH [2]), sometimes Lloth in the Drow dialect,[3] the Queen of Spiders or Queen of the Demonweb Pits, is the goddess of the Drow[4], a chaotic evil deity who revels in chaos. She patterns her life and the lives of her worshipers on a regimen of chaotic acts and the veneration of spiders. The way that new-born spider broods tear each other apart to survive especially appeals to her. She promotes this by encouraging her worshipers to kill their rivals, thus ensuring that they are the strongest of the 'brood'. Her love of chaos often makes her appear mad but the wise see her as a calculating individual who is always several steps ahead of those who believe that they can anticipate her. She is cruel and domineering, forcing her will upon her followers and her enemies, a will which instructs the strong to crush the weak in the most torturous way imaginable.
Followers: Lolth's clerics have no set uniform, but spider motifs and darker clothes are the norm. Some rites require the worshiper to wear no clothing at all. Her sacred animals are arachnids. Lolth is worshiped almost exclusively by drow, though other sentient races venerate the Lady of Spiders as well. Her clergy sacrifice the living and treasure to her glory.
In-game Orders:
(Currently Unknown to all Surface Dwellers)
Basic Info: Hoar (Symbol) (pronounced HORE [2]), also known as The Doombringer, is the vengeful deity of retribution invoked by those who seek to repay an eye for an eye. He is a bitter deity, prone to mood swings and fits of violence. Ever since the Time of Troubles, the Doombringer has been consumed with plotting the downfall of Anhur, the Mulhorandi deity of war, and to a lesser extent, the pantheon that spawned him.
Followers: Aside from a handful of scattered temples, the church of Hoar is composed primarily of lone wanderers who travel the realms, agreeing to pray for Hoar's aid on behalf of those who seek or fear vengeance, in exchange for a small fee. Charlatans who would try to scam people in this manner quickly feel the punishment of Hoar. His followers seek out victims of injustice, hear and appraise their stories, and track down the perpetrators in order to inflict a fitting form of punishment. No injustice is too small or too large for revenge to be sought and a fitting punishment meted out, earning the church of Hoar the ire of town watches and Tyrists alike as well as the adulation of the downtrodden.
In-game Orders:
Fate’s Scale
Members of the Fate’s Scale often have a tattoo of an open jawed skull on a merchants scale. These warriors have banded together in prayer in order to exact vengeance. These members include many races and types of warriors.
Basic Info: Vhaeraun (Vay-rawn), also known as the Masked Lord and the Masked God of Night, is the drow god of thievery, drow males, and evil activity on the surface world. His worshipers include assassins, male drow and half-drow, poisoners, shadowdancers, rogues, and thieves. Vhaeraun resides in the Demonweb Pits, where he has a territory permitted to him by Lolth although the two entities, mother and son, are opposed to each other.
Follower: The church of Vhaeraun is loosely organized, mainly due to persecution from the priestesses of Lolth who rule over the majority of the drow race. Vhaeraun's clergy is almost entirely male, and they practice a passive opposition to Lolth. Aside from that, Vhaeraun strives to reclaim the surface world from which he was forced to flee. This leads to frequent conflicts with the clerics of Eilistraee, benevolent drow who strive to live in peace with the surface folk and gain redemption for the evil ways of their kind.
Some priests of Vhaeraun advocate unity of the elven races in order to more easily dominate the surface world. Most, however, view this as heresy.
In-game Orders:
The Upper Hand
These followers are dead set in rooting out Lolth’s priests. While not maniacal, they are steadfast in their purpose using whatever advantage they can muster. Many train in martial skills for this purpose, and have established connection and ties with surface cities.

Basic Info: formerly Kelemvor Lyonsbane, also known as the Lord of the Dead and Judge of the Damned, is the god of death and the dead, and master of the Crystal Spire in the Fugue Plane. In his mortal days, Kelemvor was a skilled mercenary, with the heart of a noble paladin, concealed under rude manners and thwarted by his mysterious family curse.
Fair yet cold, Kelemvor is the god of death and the dead—the most recent deity to hold this position, following in the footsteps of Jergal, Myrkul, and Cyric. Unlike these other deities, whose rule as gods of the dead made the afterlife an uncertain and fearful thing, Kelemvor urges knowledge that death is a natural part of life and should not be feared as long as it is understood.
Follower: The death clergy as they are known have many duties, most involve tending to the last wishes of the dying and provide burial services to those who die alone. They also set out to cure diseases and defend people from monsters so that folk do not die before their time. Their final and debatably most important task is the destruction of undeath in all its various forms as it is an affront to Kelemvor. Elite priests of Kelemvor are known as Doomguides. Servants of Kelemvor are usually clad in somber gray vestments and brandish hand-and-a-half swords, or Bastard Sword.

The Nameless One requires only that one remain without great renown nor to have a statue made of one’s likeness. If the one of the two tinnitus are broken, a curse of horrors is placed upon the believer.
Follower: Many who feel their allegiance don’t belong to any of the other Divines fall into the worship of the Nameless One. As he doesn’t require one to have a specific alignment, he has followers of many races ranging from merchants to commoners and travelers.

One that destroyed The invader's but also caused the entire city to fall into the underdark far beneath the earth were it remains to this day. The dark obelisk the sorcerer and his coven made spread a horrible curse among his surviving people, Turning them into vile undead beast. Tablurauth however did not die, and was forced to live out his eternity as an undead being.
Tablurauth eventually mastered his fate and became a powerful adventuring necromancer in his mortal years, traveling with Bane and Bhaal, dedicated each to a quest to attain divinity for themselves. They traveled to the citadel of Jergal who, luckily for them was tiring of his existence as lord of the end of everything. Breaking off his skeletal knucklebones after an argument over which of the three would rule over the other two, they were each thrown by the mortals to determine which of Jergal's portfolios they would receive. Malar tried and failed to interrupt this game. The end result was Tablurauth gaining the portfolio of the Dead. Jergal served Myrkul as an aide for a time until Tablurauth had settled into his new role.

Shax's legs are also bird-like, not just his head, giving him a strange hybrid appearance
Follower: Shax does not really have any sort of organised church thanks to the deranged nature of most of his worshipers: his cultists are generally lone deranged killers or warmongers seeking luck and glory in their deeds.[2] Some of these monstrous sadists are not insane loners, but the corrupted scions of decadent noble houses, led through hedonism and cruelty to kidnap the poor and unfortunate and exact Shax's bloody will upon them.[4]
As well as lone, surface-dwelling psychopaths, in the depths of the Darklands, Shax is worshiped by the drow.
Shax is worshipped by his creations the babau demons, whom he still creates. Shax makes particularly powerful ones by flaying still living victims before the final Abyssal transformation.[7]

They are passionately devoted to people, places and ideas and are more than willing to fight and die to preserve those things. While the murder of a slave is still considered damage to property, some house still find pleasure in degrading acts and are legally allowed their fill. The population of Varisaen is mixed between Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Beastfolk, and Gobliniods. In the larger cities however, Humans and Dwarves are most often seen. The woods and forest tend to be the home of the naturalist Elves, mostly Wood-Elves although Half-Elves are rarely accepted by eleven families. The Beastfolk are rulers of the Marshlands, even having an official Count to watch over them. The Gobliniods however are vastly distrusted by all, and tend to have great numbers on the Cinderlands. It is rumored that Drow have taken hold of vast cities underneath the great mountian ranges, but Dwarves are quick to say it is only Golbin nonsense.
For reasons known only to you, it appears that you are on a ship crewed by only a handful of crew. A human bard plays his music in the crow’s nest, while a mighty half-orc hauls barrels of ale and trade grain from the top deck to the storage holds .The wind blows the hot air over the deck as a single bird cries out as a gnome tries shewing him away from his lunch. He talks to an elf in a robe that is looking at the clouds, saying that one looks like a dragon in armor.
The captain calls out for a report of their heading in her strong voice, her half-elf heritage showing in her slender waist, thin arms, and shaved ears. Some mangled words cry back in sailors can’t that you still can’t make heads or tails of.
As you look about you may find a few faces you might recognize, others you may not. Another human calls out to answer her question when suddenly; a fireball explodes into the side of the ship. It shift hard to the port, smoke bellowing up as you are thrown to the ground (Balance Check 25 to stay upright)
As you look on you can see the captain’s blackened face trying to correct the course of the ship away from a large formation of river rocks. The strain and fear all over her face tells you she is fighting a losing battle. A few moments later, the ship crashes into the rocks shifting horribly to the starboard side. Spilling cargo and crew alike, you paw trying to keep aboard the sinking ship in order to collect your belongings and get a sense of your bearings. (Climb Check 25) (Use Rope 22)
Now I get to pull out one of the Clockwork Man's parlor tricks
I have to admit I'll never grow tired of the 'pretend you're badly hurt' trick though, let's fight until Skallagrim has to close it.

Under the pleasant heat of the sun, Jyrre had found himself a lovely spot near the base of the mast to perch himself, in the shade cast by the sails. He had Ester out on his lap and was gently rubbing the polishing cloth along the length of her sheath and hilt, bring the wood and ivory and metal work of art to a beautiful sheen. Beneath his fingers, Ester's voice whispered back to him, more than just the tingle telling him what spell was stored within her. "Don't you look dazzling, Ester?" he asked her quietly as he worked. The humid air wasn't very good for either her or Shadrra. Had he put more thought into it, he would have had someone place a ward on them before he left. but he made up for his mistreatment of the two by pampering them even more than usual.
He quietly humming along to the bards song, it being one he knew well, as he worked. There was something to be said about peaceful times like these, a nice break between tasks. His tranquility was shattered by the explosion. He staggered and was thrown to the ground. As he scrambled to regain his footing, he secured Ester, quickly looking around to piece together what he could. He immediately saw the rock coming, and the captains face. Still, there was nothing he could do as the ship crashed into the rock. As the deck tilted and crew, passengers and cargo alike slid and flew over the deck, he made and dismissed plans. He could cast spiderwalk to stay on board, but whichever way this went, he would be taking to the water, so no need to waste spells. He could try using one wands to boost him to shore, but that was chancy so that was dismissed as well.
Disregarding any attempts to hold on, he controlled his slid and pencil dove into the water. Not his favourite thing, and neither Shadrra nor Ester would be happy, but it would have to do. He kicked to the surface, gasping for air as he head cleared the waves. "Shields Raised!" he commanded, activating his ring. The Small Wall of Force gave him a surface to support himself on. Chest supported above the waves for now, he started kicking for shore. The shield's buoyancy failed before he could make it two dozen feet to shore, but by then he was close enough that he made it with little trouble. Coughing up water, he pulled himself unto dry land. Now for the next problem; who or what hit the boat?
'Though a candle burns in my house, there is nobody home'
'Please remain calm as we attempt to rectify this most unfortunate circumstance.'
'Well, let me see; we have slow death, quick death, painful death, cold lonely death...'
'Holy crap, we dialed Pittsburgh.'
Lumen was on the deck of the ship in a heated conversation with Kat the healer and Pellor the quartermaster. They were discussing treatments and where they could find them. Just as they were coming up with a plan there was a flash and a rumbling sound. The boat rocked and Lumen slid to the railing. He made a desperate grab for the side of the boat but missed. He went head first into the water where he decided to drop to the bottom.
As the water swallowed him and the cold water soaked his clothes he had a terrifying jolt burn through his body. The last time he was on a boat he had lost everything. The same situation was happening now. He had friends on the boat. They didn't deserve to die to under the waves. Their time wasn't now and they still had an important job to do. Last time he was powerless to help anyone. He had seen one of his children burn as the fire swept below deck. His heart started to pound and his ears felt the strain of the pressure being so far under water. The determination that had gripped him was a mixture of anger, fear, sadness and a little bit of righteous fury provided by his God. No one could see him that far under the waves but there was a slight glow about him. It grew brighter the further down he went. When he finally touched the bottom He faced the direction that the shore was in. With his God's light around him he sprinted toward the shore.
It would be a weird sight to everyone looking in his direction as he burst onto the shore in a full run. The water seemed to move around him, not hindering his movements one bit. As his head broke free of the surface he took a great inhale of air. With this breath he felt life course through his body. The determination increase tenfold as he looked back at the ship. It was on fire in places and he could see some of his allies diving into the water. Lumen knelt down on the sandy shore and prayed.
"Kelemvor! These people must not die. There time to reach your divine realm is still far off. Grant me the ability to save them. Allow me to protect the lives that you hold so dear. Lift me up and so that I can save them all!"
After the last word Lumen jumped. Unlike a normal jump the sand around him flew in all directions as he launched himself sixty feet into the air giving him a great view. One that would allow him to streak towards the boat to the two he had just been talking to not eighteen seconds ago.
Lumen sinks to the bottom of the river then uses his travel domain ability to create a freedom of movement spell on himself and double moves to the shore while avoiding any deeper spots.

Snarling viciously, he swam easily even with all of his gear and started to check on the others. Now I get to pull out one of the Clockwork Man's parlor tricks
I have to admit I'll never grow tired of the 'pretend you're badly hurt' trick though, let's fight until Skallagrim has to close it.

The ship was burning as he flew over the deck. He could see some of the crew in the water and a few others on the deck. Time was of the essence here because once the boat went under the crew would be sucked in after it. As he flew down he called on his god to give him strength to face this trial. In answer he felt like he was a young man once more. Lumen knew it was temporary but it was a gift none the less. He landed on the deck between three individuals.
Upon landing he reached his hand out forward and called out.
"Ventus, come, you are needed here on the mortal plane."
As the hippogriff came into being Lumen was hovering over the deck facing the fire. He could spot a man down in the fire. As he floated forward he yelled back to the three crew mates and Ventus.
"Ventus take these three to the shore and drop them off. Then come back to me. We are going to save as many as we can."
As the crew started to get on Ventus Lumen called for water to rain down. Ten gallons of water dumped down on the man to put out any flames that might be on him. Lumen then swept in to drag the man out. As he flew out he looked out over the water to see if he could spot where that attack had come from.
spells cast: Summon monster III ventus, Bull's strength and create water
Flew to NPC in fire after dumping water on him and pulled him out
The ship creaks once more, but remains still as it continues to take in water. The fire surrounding the large man was put out thanks to Lumens quick thinking; however he looked badly burned and didnt move.
A large crack appears on the far back mast, threatening to come down soon. Fire erupts from below deck, basking the fallen mast in a blanket of flames.
Now I get to pull out one of the Clockwork Man's parlor tricks

As he cleared the water line, he quickly made the assumptions about what he observed. He ran through his memories quickly; that chart tampered with, a strange box near the ale, strange local creatures. He dismissed the last for the moment. Odd actions of one of the new crew members, the gull with message cord and the gnome that was chasing it away... The facts; something exploded on the ship, and there was a strange box near the ale... The flammable ale. Abyss... Someone rigged the ship to explode. Why? Was it the cargo? The passenger list? The crew? Who? One of the two suspicious crew members? Or were they just hired hands in a far more complicated plot? There were just too many variables at the moment to make certain conclusions...
Several people seemed to have died, or were seriously hurt, judging by the bodies washing ashore. But he didn't have time to focus on them. Instead, the rocks held his interest. They were very oddly shaped rocks... The waters of the Yondabakari have housed odd creatures this far into the cinderlands. The words of the elf came back to him. Those weren't rocks... they were some sort of beasts. Vaguely frog like, vaguely rock like, living. Abyss... The tampered map, the explosion, now the creature... of course they were connected! It was a trap. A well devised one. A way to ensure no one would survive. And that fool of a cleric was bringing the crew right to them! Gods!
"Beasts on shore!" he barked in a clipped manner. "You three! Stay back unless you can fight!" He snapped orders at the survivors the hapless cleric deposited. There were many, and he was on his own at the moment. He couldn't abandon them just yet, he needed to know more, the Dragons would need more information to work with if he survived, which he intended to. He drew Berrna, his magic missile wand. He didn't want to get too close in this conflict. He touched Ester's hilt. "Sorry my sweet, but you will be sitting this one out for now. But be a Suit me up, will you?" At his command, invisible threads of magic extended from his Ester and coiled around him to form the mage armor.
Protection covered, he drew a small glowing rod from his pouch and used it as the focus for his spell. "See the pretty colors?" he asked to no one in particular. In response, an aura of shifting twisting patterns swirled into being around four of the creatures. Hopefully, that would keep them occupied for a while. That still left four creatures to take care of... but is was an improvement over seven.

'Please remain calm as we attempt to rectify this most unfortunate circumstance.'
'Well, let me see; we have slow death, quick death, painful death, cold lonely death...'
'Holy crap, we dialed Pittsburgh.'
Vis'tak, seeing at least two people in the water swam for the one that was closest to him. Easily swimming over to the person, he grabbed him and propelled himself towards the shore. Easily dropping him off, he headed back into the water to rescue the other person. Hopefully he wasn't in dire strights as well.

Swam to the right to pick up an NPC. Then move north to the shore.
Survivors were being taken to the bank by air and by water, however a new threat had been realized.
With a quick wave of his hand Jyree managed to surprise the ambushers. Three of the camouflaged rock looking creatures stood tall, looking at light orbs that danced in front of their eyes.
Seeing that their cover had been made, the rest of the froglike creatures moved from their tucked positions. Not much larger than four feet tall, some pulled bows while others had wooden clubs in their hands.
Kat coughed pulling herself to a knee, her face a little burned. She tried to speak, but only a small amount of blood was issued. The other two moaned, a gnome who seemed to be mostly unharmed and a sickly looking man that was holding his leg.
The bard was to the far of the group, coughing up water as he pushed himself up on the sand to his hands and knees.
