I'm going to work on a CS right now. Lemme just see what we have and need. An infiltrator/master of disguise kinda guy? I'm all for that.
Name: Baldevakr (Bahld-eh-vock-err) Fjallson
Age: 35-40
Gender: Male
Short bio: Baldevakr was born in the north, in a relatively small village at the base of a mountain. There he grew up to honor what is, in our tongue, the Mountainfather, as well several other deities (Which did not deserve as much praise, not having created humans, but still had their place). He was the son of a skald (Poet and lorekeeper) and a hunter. Though he learned much of poems and runelore from his mother, his elder sister was the next in line for skald, and he resigned to learning the woodsman’s trade from his father. He was also trained, though he wasn’t in the military, in the ways of battle, in case the town was attacked. When he was old enough, he worked with a group of three hunters, with him as the tracker- his main job was to see where prey had been, and to find the best paths through the forest.
One year, three things happened within very quick succession. First, his house burned down. This was unfortunate, but it did happen. He could live in the community hous for a while and the others would help him recoup his losses. Then, a new tracker moved in. And lastly, news came, though none expected it to be heeded, that a town further south was looking for intelligent, capable warriors. Baldevakr refused to accept that such things were merely coincidence. It must be a message from the Mountainfather. And so, since he had no home that would be left empty, and no job that couldn’t be filled with the newcomer, Baldevakr left for Veron.
Personality: Baldevakr is a bit of a gruff man, and one of few words, so he has gained a bit of a joking reputation as the resident ‘grumpy old man’ of the guild, though he is little more than half Krimnox’s age. Despite this, he is nicer than the first impression gives, and surprisingly good with children. Be believes strongly in vigilante justice, and is of the opinion that no one man should have power over another, and so doesn’t actually much approve of what he is doing. However, he is fiercely loyal, and believes that it is the Mountainfather’s will that he is working for Veron, and trusts in the Father’s judgement.
Likes/Dislikes: Baldevakr enjoys the outdoors, songs and poems, community, and religion. He dislikes those born into power, and people whose only thoughts are of glorifying themselves, instead of their families, communities, and gods.
Skills: Baldevakr is an accomplished tracker and Erilaz (One who works runes to magical effects). Though he was taught to hunt and use a bow, he wasn’t spectacularly good at it, but is better than non-archers. His favored weapon is an axe- he is skilled at using it not only in battle, but for felling and chopping trees. While he has little experience actually fighting, his strength allows him to put a lot of force behind each blow.
The runes he uses can be used individually, but are often combined into compound symbols called staves (Different from the plural of staff, it sounds more like ‘stay’). These typically act like single-subject, powerful good luck charms, but sometimes can have more profound, noticeable effects.
Weap. of choice: Baldevakr carries a fairly long steel headed bearded axe, which he often uses as a walking stick by gripping it directly behind the ‘beard’. On the head is carved various staves for strength and victory in battle. It is, surprisingly, not a very conspicuous weapon, as an axe is a useful tool and bears keeping with you. A man’s first thought, upon seeing an axe, is ‘woodcutter’, not ‘warrior’.
Appearance: Baldevakr is a large man. He is no taller than the everyday person, but he is stocky and sturdily built. His skin is rather pale for a man of the woods, for Veron standards. His hair is dark red, the color of rosewood, and is already beginning to get flecks of silver. He has a square face, with a blunt nose, and amber eyes. He wears a pair of comfortable, sturdy boots, black trousers, and brown, knee length, splitlegged tunic. If he is expecting battle he wears a chainmail hauberk underneath it (And another shirt underneath it if it is winter- chainmail gets rather cold.) He also has a brown wool cloak for warmth and weather.
Other: He has a square piece of cloth, perhaps a square foot, which is dyed light grey-blue. On it is sown various single runes, in bright, vibrant colors. Each time he folds it and unfolds it, the runes are different, and in other places. It is his map, he says, and a useful tool when lost, though even he has difficulty reading it.
((Sorry it took so long, but since Glorious wasn't done either I decided to take my time with it. If you see anything wrong or that I forgot to add just tell me.))

I need 1-2 people before I will make the IC and then we can start![]()
All I ever lead to is chaos.
If, after we have recognized intuitively a number of simple truths, we wish to draw any inference from them, it is useful to run them over in a continuous and uninterrupted act of thought, to reflect upon their relations to one another, and to grasp together distinctly a number of these propositions so far as is possible at the same time. For this is a way of making our knowledge much more certain, and of greatly increasing the power of the mind.
We ought to give the whole of our attention to the most insignificant and most easily mastered facts, and remain a long time in contemplation of them until we are accustomed to behold the truth clearly and distinctly.
The Meditator reasons that he need only find some reason to doubt his present opinions in order to prompt him to seek sturdier foundations for his knowledge. Rather than doubt every one of his opinions individually, he reasons that he might cast them all into doubt if he can doubt the foundations and basic principles upon which his opinions are founded.
-Wiggles impatiently.-
Hopefully we can get some new people soon!

Name: Gendrick
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Short bio: Gen joined the guild to see Endeor burn. He won’t say much more about it, as his history seems as fluid as his speech, and nobody really knows what is true or not. The only thing consistent -if one takes the effort to listen to every single one of his stories- is that he ran away when he was about nine, fleeing an abusive family member and making a living by joining a performers group. In this circus he picked up most of his skills and functioned as an everyman, one capable of doing just about anything. The group disbanded a while ago and Gen has made a living as a storyteller until he was invited to join the guild.
Of course, this doesn’t really explain the near obsessive hatred he has with the neighboring town. Any more prodding in his past just results in him changing the subject, and usually you won’t even want to press the issue.
Personality: On his off-hours, Gendrick is usually affable and charming. He is also quite nosy and talkative. He rarely doesn’t walk around with a smile on his face, and acts jovial the entire day. The only thing that can turn the smile upside down are repeated prodding at his past. He knows many legends, stories and anecdotes and is more than willing to share them along with a round of drinks.
While he’s on the job though, he sometimes quite literally changes into someone else.
Skills: Gendricks past in a circus has left him with a varied skillset. As a bard, he can play the lute and sing a great many songs. He is a master of disguise, able to change his entire persona in mere moments. With the right kit, you’d be hard pressed to recognize him even if you knew him. He is also agile, which comes from the fact he was both a bard and an acrobat. Gen can run, flip and jump like it’s nobody’s business, and he uses these skills to get where no one else can. He’s also murder with a dagger, as Gendrick says he was also the circus’ resident knife-thrower.
Likes: Performing, drinking, storytelling, burglary, gambling(preferably with someone else’s money).
Dislikes: - Endeor
- Going toe-to-toe in battle, as Gendrick prefers stealth and non-violence. If he has to fight, he strikes from a distance or the shadows. he doesn't prefer melee, as he usually has no armor on.
- questions about himself
- self-righteousness. Gen believes the world is a nasty place, and isn't hesitant to voice this. He detests holier-than-thou attitudes, and will humiliate those who have them without delay.
Weap. of choice: Daggers and knives. Easy to hide, quick to draw and lethal when thrown.
Appearance: Gen stands at about 5 ft 7, has a rather wiry frame and these are his usual looks, minus the drunken haze.
Other: Gendrick has a light form of persuasive magic, which he claims he picked up from a traveling seer he once saved. It won’t let anyone do things for him, but when used it makes the target like and trust Gendricks current persona more. The bigger the gap between the target’s attitude, the more taxing the magic is. (e.g. from hostile to loved is near impossible, but from hostile to unfriendly isn’t) It has very little effect if the target is aware that it is being charmed, or if it knows Gen has these powers.
Accepted.
So lemme see if I got it all clear:
Gendrick uses throwing daggers/knives. He can slightly change people's thoughts about him. He used to work at the circus / be a storyteller sometimes
Is it OK?
