History
Virkum lives to fight, he lives for the battle, but no one but the gods above know why. It has been two years since he's awoken in a peaceful field with nothing but the clothes on his back and the ancient longsword beside him. It has been two years filled with bloodshed, coin for his services, and endless wanderings. Where he learned his skills, his abilities over his own body, and where he acquired such a potentially powerful blade is lost in the fog of forgotten memories. He is quiet and keeps to himself, but it's hard to take a step in any town or city without being recognized, let alone noticed. He's built a decent reputation for himself, but he only knows one things and it's the only thing that keeps him going - he must fight. For what? He hopes he'll find that answer someday.
Abilities
• [Minor] Starfang Trueflight: Six times a day, Starfang may be thrown with extreme accuracy. While Starfang can be thrown without this ability, Trueflight makes it harder to dodge.
• [Passive] Recall: At will, Starfang may be recalled to Virkum's hand, but may not go through obstacles that it could not normally destroy.
• [Passive] Empathic Bound: Within 100 feet, Virkum may sense where Starfang is at all times, no matter the direction.

Name: Issac Valstorm

Gender: Male
Personality: Though not unsociable, this young man tends to keep a close-knit of those around him, being more of an introvert. Though he is open-minded and accepting of others, he has a strong moral center coupled with intelligence. This makes him a courageous, but careful fighter.
Appearance: Standing around 5'7", Issac is a healthy looking young man. With slightly tan skin and red hair that he's chosen to grow out, it's not that hard to spot him inside a crowd. His green eyes don't make it any easier. His muscles give away to toned, but not overly built look to him. He tends to wear a cloth/leather mix of armor tailored for him that has an attached cloak, with his short sword strapped to his waist - when he goes out to train his magic.
Magic: His magic has power over the sphere of travel, giving him a unique advantage over his peers as well as obvious disadvantages. It's a magic that centers around his own person and as a support ability opposed to offensive, though the way he's trained it, it supports his offense. As it stands, he's only been able to instantly transport himself and his belongings to a maximum of thirty feet. Whether this will develop further or not is unknown. It fits his personality in being that it centers around his carefulness in a fight and quick thinking.
Weakness: The most obvious weakness of this power is that it doesn't really seem to have any direct offensive capabilities, more or less making him just a very fast fighter.
History: In the city, he was the a child of one of the well-off fishermen in the middle ring of the city, though a couple of his friends were from the poorer outer ring. He had a normal life, though he was more akin to play fights and studying in the libraries about various things. Though he didn't grow up with a mother, having died during birth, but it hardly seemed to phase him - he enjoyed his time alone with his dad worked.
When the meeting was called, his father had him tag along at ten years old. Issac likely understood better what was going than the others, but still wondered what exactly was wrong about the city that would force them to leave. Given, he only had this 'feeling' about the church, but he didn't understand why. His father was a lot like him though and mostly kept to himself when Issac asked him way they were leaving, and continued to bring it up from time to time as they stayed in camps in the mountains.
When Issac started to develop his powers, at first he kept it secret, trying to get a grasp on them before even mentioning them to anyone. His father was the first to know though and for the most part - unless asked or it came up - his father was the only one Issac went out of his way to tell.
In the coming years, Issac used his powers to practice his swordsmanship, envisioning his transport abilities as a compliment to such an art as sword fighting. Though he still kept to himself mostly, but didn't exactly push anyone away either. Today though, he goes to the middle of the camp, hearing a rumor that they want to send those with magic back to the city. He goes to find out what exactly is happening.
Misc: He enjoys time in the forest and spends a lot of his free time in practicing moves and different ways he can combine swordsmanship and his travel powers, having become quite good at them. Otherwise spends time watching the animals and streams. When he can get a good book, he reads those too.

Origins: Eight years ago, a group of military personal and scientists started the S.T.A.R. program in hopes to create a military android. The objectives have since changed under new leadership though and haven't been released beyond the facility itself.
Origins (Classified / OOC): Eight years ago, a branch of the government services that was privileged enough to be granted with the S.T.A.R. program, started on the project to create a military grade android. Early into her creation, Section 11*, had a unique encounter with an advanced species from a nearby planet. Salvaging what was left of the battle, they began to integrate both the alien metals and technologies into the S.T.A.R. project. Though several theories were put forth, there was still a lot to be tested revolving both the alien computer code and what it was capable of doing.
Tested in a sandbox environment, the programmers at Section 11 quickly noticed the change in their AI when exposed to the new coding. It calculated quicker, learned faster, and started to pick up on the subtle word structure that humans were giving her.
For the first time, the scientists were loading the AI into the Android body within a white room meant to contain the Android when some unknown life forms attacked the facility. When one of the explosions reached S.T.A.R.'s white room, it killed both Dr. James and Dr. Beldon, and shattered the observation room's window above. It's safe to say that the rest panicked or went to deal with said threat and over the course of the next hour, the room was left empty - save for the Android. Somehow, someway, she managed to activate herself.

Alternate Background for Project Secure Horizon: Talverra.
Origins: Eight years ago, a group of military personal and scientists started the S.T.A.R. program in hopes to create a military android. The objectives have since changed under new leadership though and haven't been released beyond the facility itself.
Origins (Classified / OOC): Eight years ago, a branch of the government services that was privileged enough to be granted with the S.T.A.R. program, started on the project to create a military grade android. Early into her creation, Section 11*, had the unique chance to synthesize a new metal from the Talverra World into a Titanium alloy making for an even stronger metal which resulted in a more resistant plating while being half as heavy. Only several months later, the science team was introduce to several prototype technologies that were developed at the Pentagon. With a combination of the new alloy and new technologies, S.T.A.R. was promising to be the most advanced Android to date.
Another new leap was an AI program developed by Dr. Ely Madison, a promising new scientist that focused on advances into cyberspace. With the new perimeters entered into the already advanced AI, Dr. Madison watched as the S.T.A.R. AI grew and learned at an accelerated rate, nearly that of a human with roughly 140 IQ. Though it was still tested in a sandbox and - to be expected - hard trouble grasping simple concepts. Still, it was a jump in AI, in that it could grasp those concepts.
It was only roughly six months after the new prototype techs and a couple months after the new perimeters into her AI, that she was personally requested to accompany the Project Secure Horizon team by Lt. General Matthews. Despite protests by the handful of scientists, including Dr. Madison, she was shipped to the take-off site and promptly activated.

I'm hoping this character is of some interest in that someone may pick her up for an additional plot, as I certainly enjoy the concept of her. However, I've been involved in so many makings of plots, I'd rather sit back on this one. I'd likely prefer a fantasy or fantasy/modern hybrid based plot. Here's the character, for those who are interested. She was designed with this simple idea in mind; she's very powerful, but lacks experience at the beginning of the RP, making for a path of character development.

Gender: Female
Age: 23
Appearance: What one may call the image of a warrior, at least in body. She has toned muscles and a focused gaze on anything she sets her mind to. With paler skin than normal (often mistaken for an albino) and black hair, she is a rare beauty that stands out in a crowd, tattoos of red adorning her face on the right side and both of her arms and legs with what most would mistaken as fancy designs. Her most shocking feature is her icy-blue eyes. On her right forehead is the insignia of the Ecclesia Order.

Personality: Lyna is easy-going and laid-back on most occasions, but possess the mentality to become very serious when danger rears it's head. She is a thinker as she must be to enact her ability, as it's based on passion, focus, and logic at the same time. Still, she isn't afraid to smile when something is funny and thinks before speaking. Also more of an introvert, perfectly fine to keep to herself and only have a few friends. She has began developing her confidence recently and has made leaps from where she once was.

Companion Special Abilities: Able to activate each rune for more abilities, in which only up to the third rune has been activated thus far.
• Orgon'Dontal: Firm. This rune maintains the blade at all times, making it impossible or nearly impossible to destroy or even rust.
• Telun'Vangraph: Wave. With the command word "wave," Lyna can activate this rune to swing the blade and create a wave of force from the blade. This force isn't deadly in of itself, but it's the magnitude that gives Lyna an advantage.
• Ordonmed'Famgisg: Frost. Used by itself, it coats the weapon in frost which then chills the target's blood, which ultimately reduces stamina and reduces the body's heat. Used with Wave, it can produce a wave of frost which can range from chilling the target's body to encasing it in ice, depending on the strength of the opponent.
Companion's History: Gisgna is an usual blade because of one simple fact; it was made by the user and not given by a higher power directly. The blade was simply a silver sword until Lyna dreamt one night of the runes in which to inscribe the blade with. Ever since placing the runes on the blade, it has come to a sort of subtle sentience.
Combat Prowess: Lyna in her natural state is a talented fighter and a learned swordsmen. However, with the additional runes etched into her skin, she is able to sprint, react, and move faster and focus easier on martial movements.
Magistra/Powers: Enochian Runes. Lyna's Magistra comes in the form of Angelic Runes, which each have different effects depending on the rune itself. It requires a finger to quickly scribe the rune within the air or on a surface and complete it's equation before the effect will take place, driven by a floodgate of divine energy. This technique requires passion to channel the divine energy, focus to create the rune, and logic to learn and understand how the calculations of the rune actually work. If studied, the runes themselves are a mixture of symbology and math.

Appearance: A beautiful young maiden adorned in ancient white armor that resembles that of angelic make, her blade seemingly made from the combination of angelic metal and elven design. Her skin is slightly tan and her hair is a burnt terra cotta, as her body curves and slides down with toned yet alluring curves. The is an unusual air about this woman, as if she had stepped down from the clouds and yet she looks perfectly human.
Biography: Varies on RP. However, I am asking that she starts in some sort of stasis (if the plot/story allows it), guarded by some sort of evil organization (whether it's known they're evil or not doesn't matter). Also, I'm asking she has powers akin to being a super-powered monk, ranging from the martial arts movies (when she starts) to right out moving at inhuman speeds (think Bleach, if you watch anime).
Personality: Despite her other-wordly feel, Leona is actually rather friendly, sarcastic, and flirty. Though she is fully capable of being serious at times when needed. Being more of an introvert, she's not as naturally out-going as most people are, but more than capable of being social with others.

Physical Description: A natural redhead, this woman is toned with muscle, but what appears to be more on the lean side than raw muscle. Her body speaks grace and her skin is lightly sun-kissed in it's hue, making her green leaf-colored eyes stand out. She has since adorned herself with druidic-themed clothing. The necklace that sits on her neck is made from hairs stranded together and various feathers that come from crows, chickens, and red birds. Her clothing is similar looking to red leather in it's made, but feels like normal cloth, but she wears little more than a bra, shorts and foot wrappings while her arms are covered with a combination long glove and finger glove, only covering her middle finger on both hands.
Personality: Elena is extremely patient, perhaps even unnaturally so and walks with an air of calmness around her. Elena is kind and tries to be thoughtful before speaking honestly. She is also quite humble and will explain how she sees the world long before she'll detail what she's capable of. Many of her hobbies, when she has time are watching people and getting to know them, exploring the wilds of the world, and generally reading anything she can get her hands on - making her a little bit of a book worm. She's a bit strange in a lovable sort of way, but speaks from a view of transcendence, rather than explaining things normally. Besides this, she is an open-minded individual and often believes that just because she disagrees, it doesn't make it wrong to think differently than she does - it just makes it different, unless the view harms themselves or others. She also doesn't care for most material things (though accepts gifts for it's thoughtfulness).

Instead, she concerns herself with actions and intent. Most people don't get very close to her though, thanks to her unique view of the world. Besides that, her social standing is similar to that of a monk from a monastery or wanderer.

Bio
I once used to imagine, when I was younger, what it meant to hear the winds whisper. I wondered what it meant to feel the earth beneath your feet, to feel it's heartbeat as you walked along it's surface. I was a child back then and fantasies filled my mind as I met an elf. Little did he know he had changed my life forever ...
I grew up away from the cities and the people. My father was a lumberjack that sold cut trees to buy our meals and used the wood for our fires. He was unlike most parents and left me to find my own path in life - though I did aid him many times. I loved him ... I still do, though he had passed away from this world. Still, he hardly bothered me when I went into the forest by myself. Some would call it reckless, but I think he saw it as an opportunity to let me dream.
At first it was almost disappointing, but I was impatient back then, but looking back ... I am thankful for my determination. As I grew up, it became more of a habit - to sit in the forest and try to hear the wind, to try and feel the earth beneath me. I didn't realize until later that it was happening and the first step was patience.
As the years passed on by, I grew calmer, less prone to get upset by things that had been outrages to me in younger years. I also started to feel ... less greedy for material objects. They seemed less appealing as the world around me, the trees, people, animals, grew all the more appealing. It wasn't long before I found myself running on a daily basis, trying to emulate water in stances, being still as a rock in my meditations.
As a woman, my view of the world started to change, but not in a way that I disliked. I started to become more aware of corruption in the city and more often than not - I would stand my ground in place of an innocent. It was a trialing time in my life, because I did not understand how to fight and blades seemed uninspiring to me. Instead, I began to practice unarmed combat and it came naturally to me through-out the years.
The turning point though was when I had started to notice a major shift in how I perceived the world around me. I had meditated and practiced this lifestyle of trying to feel the world around me for so long that I hadn't noticed the changes until I was forced to acknowledge them. Suddenly it was as if the world just made sense ... though to this day, I'm unsure if elves experience it the same way, I could literally feel the streams that made the world. It was like I could see the ripples of effect that was caused by my movement. I become more aware of my surroundings, I could feel the world around me shifting, and I found myself understanding it in a way that was impossible to imagine in my youth.
Language barriers fell before my understanding and it felt as if time itself had come to a halt, like I had stepped outside of the shell that had consisted of my life before this moment. Distances that would take days seemed to take me hours and dangers of the wild and even armored men presented little worry anymore.
I have come to a understanding, a calmness within myself. My soul is deep within a still lake and the world around me ripples and ebbs with a flow that can only be described as beautiful. There is something that thickens the air though, that blocks the path of the world's flow and it's my duty to seek it out and halt it's progress lest this world come to a halt.

Background
As a small boy, Leo grew up in the monastery all of his life and was destined to be nothing more than a normal monk who sought perfect balance in life - or at least that's how it was for most young men. Instead his story would take another turn when he met Master Yang, one of the very few monks in this world to truly reach a higher plane of understanding. Much to Yang's surprise, Leo had an unnatural talent for grasping the concepts. This coupled with his passion and resolve to simply improve himself for no other reason than to make himself better made him a great student.
Over the years, Master Yang taught him all that he knew and as life would have it - even if the master looked no more than thirty - he passed on from this world, just in time for Leo to grasp a higher understanding of the world. Deciding that his ethics now demanded that he aid others, he set upon the world at large to try and right the wrongs of others. He has been doing so for the last eleven years.

Powers
Firesong: The ability to manifest flames at will. For Jasmine, it feels much like straining a muscle - it has a limited endurance and if used as a burst, it's ability to stay persistent is limited. This ability is innate and cannot be learned. This ability also does not require verbal or material components.
Fire Spirit: Jasmine also has a spirit that's imbued with flames, thus making her naturally resistant to naturally occurring hot and cold temperatures and fire (natural or magic).
History
Jasmine was born an orphan with the parents being completely unknown to both the city and to herself. She was a fairly happy child though and enjoyed life, despite being without a home. She always had a good heart and never turned to thievery like most children in her position would have, but she did aspire for one thing in life; to become a knight. Even though she was not a forward individual nor one that did well at formalities, she was entranced by the idea of chivalry and protecting of the innocence.
To this end, she practiced mock swordplay daily when she was only ten. She was able to catch the attention of a knight and soon she was squired to him, though it wasn't common for a woman to do so, it wasn't unheard of. As she bloomed into a teenager, something in her changed. She was able to somehow inexplicably reach out into the magical stream that wrapped around the world and pull flame magic from it's waters. This was nearly unheard of as most magic came from intense study and understanding than some innate talent. This came with it's own unique strengths and weaknesses. Unlike wizards, her magic was limited to flames only, but she was able to pull it without needing incantations and on a whole was able to use a lot more before wearing herself out.
Due to this discovery, King Belum had quickly promoted her to Knight Commander, among seven of the most powerful knights of the kingdom that lead their own battalion of knights. Though during one of the king's more petty and vain attacks, Jasmine dropped her blade and refused to follow orders to attack the 'enemy.' She now travels back to the king's castle just as Zak is being crowned to turn in her resignation.

Biography
Suna was always a curious and clever little fox* when she was younger, even though she was more of an introvert than her peers and noticeably less aggressive in social situations. The combination left the little fox with little friends, but she was still happy with the couple she had made in her time among her village. As she grew up, she got closer to two individuals in particular; Isia and Konu. Isia was a beautiful tiger Kitsune* while Konu was a handsome young wolf Kitsune. It had been centuries, but Suna's tribe had since mixed different Kitsune into their folds. They were the best of friends, but something changed as they grew into teenagers.
Suna started to get romantically interested in others, but it was not usual - she found herself attracted to females. It would be a few years until she told her best friends, but she ultimately put her affections towards Isia. Though the tiger didn't really respond in the way Suna hoped, neither did she openly reject the affections either. Sadly for Konu though, he also started to fancy the tiger and slowly grew jealous over the next couple of years - he wanted Isia to recognize him and be with him. Now while the fox's parents were loving and accepting people, Konu's parents couldn't of been any different, which had initially prompted the orphan Isia and Suna to become friends with him and help him get through the abuse his father often put him through behind closed doors. In the end though, it seemed this would eventually betray Suna.
One day, the fox had returned home, happy and almost giddy from the time she had spent with Isia - almost feeling like the tiger might just return the affections. Her return was nothing less than a complete horror. Blood was painted across the floor as two dead bodies laid limp in the middle of the floor. Suna screamed and burst into tears as she realized these two were her parents. She never knew how the council came to the conclusion, but they somehow found her guilty of the crime. The news had shocked her even more, but she had two choices - forever be exiled or fight to the death against a fighter of their choosing, which happened to be Konu. She refused to kill her friend and exiled herself from the only place she knew for her entire life. Til this day, she is still unaware Konu framed her for the murder, all because he wanted Isia to himself.
Her adventurers as a wander taught her many things, such as being able to cook, hunt, and sow her clothes and even helped her improve her swordsmanship to a level that was far above average - thanks to her quick learning. Her acrobatics came later as she developed her skills in hunting wild game.
The most important turning point for the young woman so far was when she met a master of a very unique ability - Shunpo. Why the master had decided to teach the fox, only the gods knew, but he claimed only after a few days that he would teach her. Her unique knack for magic played a major role in manipulating the spirit energy that was required to make the power work, but the master only spent a few months teaching her how the technique was actually done before leaving her to her own wanderings. She had barely done it once by the time he left, but as time passed on and with her dedication to the training, she was able to master the most basic form of Shunpo - a quick burst of speed that allowed her one 'step' before having to pause a few seconds. She still wanders without a home and practices each day to reach the level Master Oliver was on - the ability to 'step' quickly in succession. Though arguably, there was more than the master even showed her.

• Sowing: She's learned how to repair clothes (mostly from being torn from battles).
• Knowledge (Geography): Has a moderate knowledge on various terrains and the location of towns and kingdoms.
Abilities
• Thundersong: The ability to manifest lightning at will. For Casey, it feels much like straining a muscle - it has a limited endurance and if used as a burst, it's ability to stay persistent is limited. This ability is innate and cannot be learned. This ability also does not require verbal or material components.
• Lightning Spirit: Casey's Dragon Soul is imbued with lightning, thus making her naturally resistant to electricity and resistant to colder temperatures.
Biography
Casey grew up as an orphan, her parents unknown to even the care center that took care of orphans and other children with similar situations. She had always been a more introverted individual to almost the point of shyness in her youth, but as she grew up, she became a little bit more sociable and happy. She only had a few friends, but was torn away from the comfort and safety of the center as she grew into a young teen.
One day, she was walking the streets with her friends, one of which she was finding herself increasingly attracted to (the first time she realized she liked females). The city she grew up in wasn't known for it's freedom of crime and a man snapped out before the three of them and drew a blade, a wicked smile painted across his face as his eyes feasted on Casey's female friend. Trying to push Casey away as she tried to brave her friend's defense, something sparked and shot out in an instant and left the man slumped on the floor and her friends looking at her with worried fear. The man had been a noble and it wasn't long before the guards were after her for murder.
Ever since then, she has wandered the lands, trying to understand her strange power. She used her powers in anything from guard duties, mercenary jobs, to wars. She had the power to produce lightning, a power that was even unheard among the dragonkind, making her unique even with her dragon soul. To this day she is unaware of the soul that resides in her.
Personality
She's since regressed a little from being sociable because of bad experiences in her past, but she's not against talking with others. A bit more on the shy side, but she isn't lacking a supply of confidence when it comes to battles or conflicts. Otherwise she is sweet and kind and honest, in spite of her life, and can come off as a smart-ass if someone is really able to make her feel comfortable and gets her to joke.
Possible Plot Hook
Her ability to produce lightning is probably unheard of, even among fighting dragons, so maybe there's a reason for this. Either because of the merger or something more deep. Possible plot twist?

Biography
Shyelia grew up with stories of old and myths that had been waved off as fairy tales. From a young age, her father often told her of how she was the 'lock & key' to keeping Exion imprisoned - the last known dragon. She was told that Exion and his kind were evil and wanted to rule over mankind as gods and that Exion was the first of their kind and therefore - immortal. So in times past, two powerful families came together and locked him away, promising to always keep it that way.
She grew up knowing good morals and training her body to be like a weapon, should her guardian ever fail her, though she had never met this guardian he always spoke of. It wasn't until a couple months ago that assassins had showed up and tried to take his daughter away, apparently showing that someone had found out their secret. Deciding it was time, he sent messenger to the other family, drawing upon age-old oath and calling the guardian to protect his daughter.

Superhero Appearance: Ashely is one of few or maybe even the only superhero to not have a costume. She often wears short-sleeve shirts, loose-fitting hip-hugging long shorts, a pair of winter boots, a light sleeveless jacket and fingerless gloves. Sometimes when she's feeling cheerful or playful, she wears a pair of goggles. Along with this is her strikingly brilliant blue eyes, pale skin and bleach blonde hair - all natural - with her body bowing out slightly to an attractive curve and her height is average at about five feet and six inches.
Abilities
• Electricity Manipulation (SSEM): Ashley is able to manipulate and produce electricity on all levels, ranging from static charges to straight out lightning bolts from her fingertips. However this consumes a lot of energy and puts wear on the woman faster than if she didn't use her powers at all.
• Thunderstorm Resistance (SSTR): Unlike electrical resistance (SSER), thunderstorm resistance not only makes the user immune to electricity, but also highly resistant to colder temperatures and conditions, but not wholly immune like the former.
• Super Stamina (SSSS): Ashley's stamina is at levels that are far above average for even most SHCE, providing her with energy to produce her lightning at regular intervals. When not using her powers, she often only needs a third of the sleep, food, and liquid of a normal human. When using her full range of powers, she would need to roughly 33% more sleep, food, and liquid than a normal human. This also translates to endurance, allowing her to take a beating before being knocked out or killed, and serves the dual purpose of enduring the electrical currents that barrage her body consistently.
Strengths
• No Costume: Ashley doesn't need to worry about a secret identity and therefore puts less stress on her life overall.
• Survivalist: Able to hunt and track in the outdoors to eat and drink. Also can create crude shelters for sleep.
• Minor Hacking: Has some minor abilities in shorting computers out just so to provide bypasses in programs. It's very sketchy though and imperfect.
Weaknesses
• Human: Despite her powers and extreme levels of stamina, she's still on par with a normal human when it comes to pain tolerance, strength, speed, reflexes, and intelligence. Anything not able to be stopped via an electricity field is subject to hurt her, though at lower levels (i.e. bullets, blunt objects, anything that has a neutral charge can still bruise, break, and pierce with appropriate force).
Character History
Ashley grew up as an orphan in New York City, no one knowing who the real parents were. Her childhood was relatively uneventful as she trailed the challenges of being in an orphanage and trying to make friends while being socially less aggressive than even some girls her age. Life in New York wasn't much easier either with the usual crimes and the super villains coming out of the works, weaving in troubled and confusing times for the young woman. However at the age of thirteen, one of the first super heroes came out of hiding - The Captain. As she watched the television, she started to admire the heroism of the man who seemed all but invincible and one of the strongest men on earth (at least they claimed). Days spent in front of the T.V. daydreaming of being able to help The Captain would soon end, however.
January 13th, 2006, 5:28 A.M. A day that Ashley would never forget as she woke to the smell of smoke and the soft sound of a crackling fire. Her eyes opened to see the light dancing outside of her door and grey smoke crawling across the ceiling. Starting to panic, she darted to the door and opened it as flames lashed out towards her, causing her to stumble back and close her eyes until she heard screams. She could see the others burning in the fire and in that moment of fear and horror, she lashed out. They say that the blast took out ten blocks, shutting off T.V.s, computers, lights, and anything that used electricity. One thing was for sure though, the shockwave had blown away most of the fire, but it was too late for almost all of the residents of the small orphanage. Unlike her predecessors who wielded great elemental energy, her body had kept most of her normal form, only bleaching her hair and skin to a paler complexion and changing her normal gaia brown eyes to an electrifying blue color.
Scared as she heard the sirens screaming in the distance, she gathered herself and ran. She ran until her body hurt and her stomach threatened to exhale it's contents onto the floor. She found herself inside the forest and stayed hidden within the trees. At first, she was afraid she might starve, but quickly discovered that she was hungry less often and didn't need as much sleep, which made the self-taught hunting much easier. Ashley hadn't learned to hunt with arrows or sticks, but instead quickly grasped onto her powers and often using the electricity to kill deer and make small fires. She spent months inside the forest.
Eventually, she started to brave the city again, though she was dirty and smelt of the forest because her time without a proper bath. Her first encounter into the city and already she was faced with danger. A man going by the name of 'The Tech Master' happened by the alley way that Ashley was using to enter the city. An apparent self-proclaimed super villain that had Super Intelligence (SSIQ) and built a make-shift mech, was attacking a couple that were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Unsure of what else to do, images of the Captain flashing in her mind, she ran out and yelled at the villain. As the man turned his mech around, he laughed at her before trying to reach out to grab her. It never happened though as the young teenager sent out a shockwave like before and cut the power off in a single block radius from her - including the man's mech that ran off of computers inside. As the machine started to fail, she held out her hand and sent an electric shock that stunned the man and smiled, feeling good that she had saved the couple's lives and kept from killing him.
Running up to the girl who was a bit mangled from the woods and noticeably dirty, the woman of the couple just about tackled her with a hug as the man followed behind, glancing curiously at the unconscious man. "Thank you, sweetie! You saved our lives!" The woman pulled back, letting Ashley get a better look at them; they were a young couple, the woman was attractive and had black hair with a slim figure and the man seemed strong with blonde hair and a small beard. "Who are you?" she asked Ashley, as if the teenager was some sort of branded superhero.
The girl bit her lower lip and shrugged lightly though. "Ashley.." From there the couple learned about Ashley's situation and easily offered a place in their mansion. It seemed Ashley had luckily saved a rich couple that had millions to burn at their fingertips and Ashley was now their savior, so they welcomed her in as family. Over the next few months, Mr. & Mrs. Emmons even started to regard the young Ashley as their own daughter since Jasmine Emmons was incapable of barring children. Over the next few years, the three lived happily as the SHCE girl enjoyed a life of luxury and any government officials were turned away thanks to the Emmon's status. However, Ashley felt that she had to get out and do some good in the world, save people like she had the couple. The spouses were disappointed that she had to leave, but whole-hardheartedly agreed with her and sent her off with a considerable amount of money.
She has sent been traveling, slowly making way towards the city of Delta and stopping crime and villains along her way. She's been caught on T.V. a couple times with the media giving her the nickname 'Shockwave' though she hasn't attempted to hide her face, much to everyone's surprise. Her evasion of government officials lie in the fact she can disable any electronic device within a couple miles and her sheer power, though she hasn't been known to kill a single person as of yet. Especially when she heard of the popular hero Silver Lining passing away, she decided to head to the city to help drop crime again and maybe learn more about the hero.
Other
Keeps a working debit card in her wallet, despite any fears of it being ruined. It's been tested - it doesn't, though sometimes battles do and she has to order a new one. She also keeps extra cards for this very reason.
• Dawn of Heroes (IM-RP) •
Casey Nyalia
Age: Twenty-two
Sex: Female
Appearance: Sun-kissed skin with brown hair make up most of her face, but her eyes are a stark contrast holding a brilliantly piercing blue. Her body is a more average in terms of width, but holds attractive curves and a smaller bosom. Her muscles are more toned than they are muscular, but they hold strength none-the-less as well as agility. Casey is usually seen wearing custom made leather armor. The torso is sleeveless while the bottom half is more akin to a battle skirt and leather boots than anything. Sometimes she's seen wearing a cloak, but not always, but her cloak and armor are both dyed a deep black. On her hip is a blade in a black leather scabbard that seems to be with her regardless.
The blade itself is more a straight sword with runes carved into it's surface, though they are subtle and sometimes hidden depending on the light. It had a small guard and it's hilt is colored a very similar color to her eyes.
Personality: Casey is less aggressive in social situations and tends to be more of an introvert, keeping to herself and sharing very little with anyone besides people she looks up to or close friends. She is open-minded and compassionate though, giving her a fairly warm personality, if a bit shy. Though in combat she is unusually confident in her abilities.
Casey also has a healthy attraction to the same sex, though whether this is because of Enasia or herself, in unknown. In either case, Casey does not complain about her preference in women.
Abilities
• Lightning Imbued: A rare trait indeed, her body and soul have been imbued with lightning and even without her blade, she is able to produce basic lightning attacks, normally in the form of low-impact bolts.
• Enasia: Her Focus Weapon, Enasia, provides her with great control over electricity. This can range anything from static electricity to full fledged lightning bolts raining down from the sky above. The more dangerous the fight, the easier it is to call down more powerful attacks.
• Electric Resistance: So long as Enasia is on Casey's person, she is immune to electricity.
• Recall: Enasia is able to condense itself into a marble-sized ball of lighting or any form of electricity and return to Casey at will.
Strengths
• Experienced Swordsmanship: While not an expert to say the least, Casey is experienced in wielding Enasia.
• Survivalist: Casey has decent knowledge on how to hunt, track, make camp, set traps, and foraging.
Weaknesses
• Focus Weapon: She is noticeably less powerful with Enasia in her grasp.
• Human: While she has great power, she's still human and therefore susceptible to poisons, sickness, and disease. Her level of strength, endurance, and agility are all normal or above average as well - nothing of inhuman levels.
Character History
The first thing Casey remembers is stumbling into some ancient ruins, mud caked onto her skin with cuts and bruises adorning her fair skin. Her hair was in a mess and she smelt like the forest as if she had been rolling around in the autumn leaves. There she saw Enasia, a blade that seemed untouched by the passing of time, sitting ontop of a stone table. Unsure and scared, she took the blade and held it close as if it was the only thing that could protect her. The moment her finger touched the steel of the blade was the moment they were bonded together and even though Casey didn't understand what was going on, she felt warm and safe.
She spent the next year trying to survive the woodlands, first only venturing out a little bit from the ruins, but eventually braving so far as the road that passed between towns. She had cleaned herself a bit since her first night, but her hair was still tangled up and her armor a mess.
One night, a scout from the Hero's Academy made camp in the forest and Casey ran into him by mistake, branding Enasia in defense. The blade crackled with electricity and caught the man's attention right away. Reassuring her that he meant no harm, they finally sat together and ate as he asked her about her life. When she told him of her abilities and the night she had found the blade, it touched the man. He offered her a place to stay and train, warm beds, prepared meals, and a chance to understand what had happened in her life. She took it eagerly.
Now, cleaned up and prepped for the first day, she boards the ship headed to the Academy, blade in hand. Even to this day, Enasia has not spoken a word, but Casey knows the sword keeps her safe as she travels to an unknown setting.

Appearance: Standing at a slightly shorter height than the average female, Rachel boasts a healthy head of red hair and mysterious dark green eyes that when matched with her nearly flawless skin make for a naturally attractive young lady. Though some men might complain that her bosom is a bit too petite for their tastes, healthy curves give off an allure of their own.
Rachel is often seen wearing short-sleeve shirts, loose-fitting hip-hugging long shorts, a pair of winter boots, a light sleeveless jacket and fingerless gloves.
Personality: Rachel is a noticeably confident, but introverted woman. She knows what she wants and what she views as important, but her less than aggressive way of approaching other people and social situations come off as low self-esteem at times, when it's really just her being shy. She keeps to herself, but is a hopeless romantic, so she opens up fairly quickly to love interests (relatively speaking) - otherwise she only normally opens up for friends or those she looks up to.
The woman also holds good morals to her heart and tries, if possible, not to kill who she doesn't have to. She's a kind, open-minded, and compassionate person, but won't shy away from standing up for herself if she's put into a corner.
During battle, she seems to take a slightly different attitude, throwing away any shyness she may have displayed before. She fights with resolve and pushes to end the fight quickly rather than toying with opponents.
Abilities
• Wind Magik: Rachel was born with the ability to manipulate air and the winds, even going so far as to meld with it physically. Though this ability takes concentration, willpower, and energy - energy is probably her weak point as she has the mind for extreme focus which boosts her willpower. She tends to meld with her wind magik more than using it externally, resulting in faster movements, reflexes, and master acrobatics, but she can use it otherwise with a moderate amount of control.
Strengths
• Survivalist: She's able to hunt, track (non-humanoids), cook, and forage within the wilds - enough to survive anyways.
• Journeyman Swordsmen (Daggers): Certainly not the best and still not an expert at the art, she's still a cut above the average man when it comes to the arts of wielding daggers, only taking pure skill into account.
• Apprentice Brawler: Able to fight hand-to-hand, but no more better than an average practitioner.
• Quick Learner: Rachel learns quickly from mistakes and from books, giving her a mind for tactics and quick thinking.
Weaknesses
• Lack of Knowledge: She's only been out in the real world for a little bit, which results in a general lack of knowledge of anything outside of the temple she grew up in. Sometimes, this has caused her to get scammed or lead down the wrong alley.
• Notice Swordsmanship (Anything but Daggers): Her lack of knowledge in wielding other bladed weaponry shows and if caught without her daggers, she has to rely on her magic.
• Notice Bowmen: She only knows the very basics of using bows and so her accuracy takes a huge hit.
Character History
She doesn't remember much before being an apprentice to the Earthern One, a master of Magik, which reaches back to the age of five - no younger. Ever since she remembered, she has trained with the man in using her magik and practiced arts of war for when the day came for her to leave his study. She had been born with the ability to manipulate air at will and so she choose daggers as her weapon of focus.
Her younger years were filled with training day in and day out and when she could slip out, she'd wander off to the forest and spend time with the songbirds, boosting herself up to the tree branches in a feat of short-ranged flight. As she grew older, she had a preference for using the wind magic as a personal enhancement, but made clever uses of blasting air as well both in her free time and training.
Her teen years mostly consisted of surviving in the woods just outside the temple and even without much instruction, so was able to pick up what may or may not be so wise to eat and cook. She made shelters and hunted as well. Into her late teens, her master pulled her back to the temple to better perfect her combat training and at the age of twenty-one, he hesitantly bid her farewell into the larger world around them. It was a bittersweet time for the young woman as she left her master to explore a world of wonders.
She has made some mistakes and some bad decisions on her time outside the temple, but her master's training always made sure she was safe from any permanent harm as she traveled the city streets and even put herself out there as a mercenary to earn somewhat of a living in the city. People never understood her magic and she had always disappeared before they got too involved in her. She continues to wonder around and learn of the world around her.
