    Olivia.:.
    Olivia received a message that they would be there soon and her face brightened a bit and she held onto Ray's arm as they walked down the main street. He would point out something here or there and then they crossed to the next part of the street and he did the same thing. Nothing would compare to how quickly Klaus would have his wolves, especially if she got to do the interrogation of where they were.

    Sure, she tended to be reckless, but it was what she was embodied. Most witches, fighting affliction or afflicted, were reckless by nature because they knew about the power they could use and hone. They didn't have to worry about trivial things.

    She could feel them nearer and nearer and when they were there, Olivia stopped. "Hey, can we turn back?" she inquired, looking behind them. "I just got the message that they're here." she waved her phone and he nodded.

    "Sure." he said and when they began walking back, Olivia made sure to keep a grip on his arm so she could keep him on a leash. A new toy was always nice when it put up a fight.
    Damon.:.
    Damon laughed at her comment about the spoons, and shrugged. "What can I say? I restored it myself. I've had her for a while." he referred to his car and when they got into the apartment , he looked around. It was spacious for an apartment, not even Alaric's apartment was that big, and speaking of the devil he needed to be telling him he had made it in. "Excuse me, I need to call my friend, see if he'll answer now, so I can tell him I've made it. He's always a bit busy."

    After dialing the number and not getting an answer, he just sent Alaric a message telling him that if he was going to come home he would text him. He got a drunken slur message back that he assumed meant alright, and he looked to Cydne. "Quite a nice little place you've got here. Charming." he complimented as he looked around, and when he looked in her fridge, he saw she wasn't kidding. There was close to nothing there.

    "I'll head down to the market in a bit and get us something to eat." he informed her, "It seems my friend, after he got off work, found a bar and is now drunk texting me messages." he showed her the one Alaric had sent.

    oghay, Damon... segthg you thethfan. He shook his head that message. "Touch screen hates him too." he added.

    CYDNE

    "So, is he okay? I mean…he seems a bit smashed.", she said with a giggle as she leaned over the couch and read the message Alaric had sent him. She looked around, attempting to find anything she could shove at him to do. This whole scenario was pretty scary. She wasn't used to having company. She spotted the remote, shoved into the side of the couch. She reached down, grabbing it, and tossed it to Damon, "I'm going to get…house…decent, and you can watch some boob tube, if you want…"

    Cydne turned and closed her eyes tightly at the awkwardness that seemed to be oozing off of her, before she walked over to a small closet, and opened the door, grabbing some clothes from a box on the floor. She stood back up, looking them over with a scrunched nose. She was such a child. All of her clothes were childish, and embarrassing, especially around men.

    She shook her head, and stepped away from the closet, shutting the door with her foot and walking across the room. She walked into her room, and dressed as quickly as possible, folding her shorts over at the top, and pulling on a pair of super fluffy socks to go with her cropped teeshirt. She looked like a teenager, and honestly, it was embarrassing. Sighing, she pulled her hair up into a bun, and left the room.

    She stepped over to the couch and took a seat, "That's better…Feel free to kick off your…boots and get comfy, too."

    Olivia.::.

    Olivia smiled, talking to Ray for a while, but the smile on her face felt a bit odd. She hated how fake it felt, how she knew it was fake, and everything about it was making her want to wretch right then and there. At least she had gotten him back into the bar, and hopefully Klaus and Stefan would be there soon enough. She had no idea where they were at, and she couldn't bring out a map and use a locator spell on the talisman she had given Klaus. Then Ray would likely know something was up, but still, at least he was in her clutches. He couldn't run from her now... Not now that she had him under her thumb.

    "So, Olivia, where are your friends?" Ray asked, looking to the bartender. "Two beers."

    "I don't know." she responded. "I guess they got lost." she shrugged and after the beer appeared before Ray he slid one to her, "Oh, no I really shouldn't."

    "Oh come on. I can't buy a pretty girl a drink now?" he teased and she gave another fake smile, almost hoping for Klaus to walk in at that moment. At least he was more classy, and this man here was just foul. He wasn't even that attractive in all respects, and Klaus was. She shook her head, taking up the beer.

    "I'm sorry, I'm just... I don't handle liquor well." she admitted. She had to get those thoughts out of her mind though. She couldn't find Klaus attractive, that would just lead to other things, and her eyes softened in color.

    "You have really pretty eyes." Ray told her and she just took another sip.

    Where are they? she thought.
    Damon.::.

    Damon looked to her when she had tossed the remote to him and smiled, watching her as she walked away. She was definitely cute for acting so weird, but he assumed it was just because she wasn't exactly used to meeting people and having them spend the night all in the same day. He couldn't blame her, but as far as things went, she was certainly good company. She seemed like she cared enough about others to know that he needed a place to stay, and in her good deeds offered him a place. She was a "dogooder" almost like Elena. Damon couldn't bear the thought of her though, and he shook his head, flicking the TV on to the news. Shootings, politics weather, anything to get his mind away from her.

    Then Cydne came back out in the most adorable outfit and Damon had to catch the smirk that was trying to spread across his face. Maybe she wasn't like Elena. She hated being around people in pajama pants much less fuzzy socks and shorts. At her comment to get comfortable, he carefully took off his shoes and placed them neatly beside the couch. "Thank you. You look like you feel better." he commented, "And to get back to my friend. He's fine, he's been through a lot lately. He lost his girlfriend." he admitted, sadly.

    Damon had remembered offering Alaric a place in his car to come with, but he wanted to stay and keep things in line with the Gilberts. "I told him he could come with me, to get away, but he's helping take care of her niece and nephew. Good guy, just doesn't handle loss well. I don't think anyone does." he sighed. He looked back to the TV, he knew he didn't go through loss well. It was why he was on this trip in the first place. Elena would never be his, and with all his heart he wished she would, but at the same time... Maybe he needed someone better for him. Someone who took him as he was.

    It was the first time he had ever saw passed the way she treated him, and it was nice. Thinking about someone who didn't care, and he looked to Cydne. For the act he had been pulling she hadn't scolded him for being reckless or for being too kind even. She just went with it, and it was nice. Maybe she wasn't like Elena afterall, but still, the idea of bleeding her dry had completely passed over him... Even hurting her seemed impossible now and it bothered him almost. How could he not do that? That was what he did. He used and abused women... Why was she so different?

    "So, is there anything you wanted to watch? I'm a bit boring and like the news." he chuckled, trying to stop himself from thinking. That was his problem. Thinking.

    KLAUS

    Klaus stepped up to the outskirts of town, sniffing the air like a dog. He only sniffed a few times before his huge smile spread across his entire face, and seemed to radiate down his neck, in veins. He looked back to make sure Stefan wasn't too far away, and sped away, tracing the smell of Olivia and his new Werewolf. He couldn't WAIT to meet him.

    Soon, he found a bar, and the scent was overwhelming. They were inside. Straightening himself, and making sure his hair was presentable, he grasped the handle of the door and flung it open, walking into the bar.

    Silently, he crept up behind Olivia and Ray, snaking an arm around Olivia's waist to announce his appearance, and to order a drink.

    "Single Malt Dry…", he said softly, before leaning an elbow on the bar, "Hello, love. Did you miss me much? Who is this…handsome young man?"

    --
    Cydne

    Cydne smiled, "I feel tons better!", she said as she glanced at the television, noticing that he was watching the news. Honestly, she had to admit that it was the first time that channel had been utilized in this apartment. Smirking a bit, she glanced back to him as he explained Alaric's situation to her. Her eyes lowered in a bit of sadness and she picked at her nails a bit.

    "That's so sad. I hope he can pull through it and everything. I mean, he has you. You seem willing enough to help the needy…or at least from this side, you do…You're a good friend.", she told him honestly, giving a smile that said she was being serious, but that she didn't want to start unnecessary tension by being depressive, which she could definitely turn into.

    Cydne could read that expression, though. There was a lot more behind the cold blue eyes she was seeing. He was harboring so many crappy things in his mind, she could almost see it breaking behind the walls he put up. She couldn't tell if it was pain, or grief, or if it was simply hunger. However, it wasn't pleasant. She watched the obvious struggle that went on in his mind, and looked back down with a small smile. Even perfect people have flaws.

    "Honestly? I'm pretty boring. I watch old sitcom reruns…eat fruit…and curl up in blankets like an eskimo. You have literally…crashed at the most boring house in New York City…", she explained to him about her habits. She felt the need to explain everything to him. She felt the need to compensate and to change herself for him, as if he wouldn't accept the little quirks that most people hated about her, or as if he would see the annoying things and scars that made her who she was. Right now, things that personal, should stay personal. In reaction to her thoughts, she rubbed her wrists together, and shoved them down between her knees uncomfortably.

    Olivia.::.

    For a moment, Olivia had lost hope that the two immortal creatures she had brought herself into the company of would find her, but then she felt an arm snake around her waist and she jumped, and placed a hand over her heart. "Damnit Klaus!" she exclaimed which earned a laugh from the bartender who slid Klaus his drink and Ray's brow began reaching it's way up into his hairline. "Oh, this here. Just Ray. He's been awfully nice to me." she bit the inner part of her lip and Ray looked between them.

    "You didn't tell me that you had a boyfriend... Wait... Klaus?" he asked, and he moved to stand up and with a snap of her fingers he was sitting down again. "What the-"

    "Sit down, stay a while. Klaus will probably want to get to know you." she gave a smile and he shook his head, still trying to get out of his seat.

    "How dare you bring him here?" he hissed, glaring at her.

    "Ah, now there's the reaction I expected. You've heard of him then? A wonderful creature truly, but just so you know, your efforts to escape are futile." she rubbed his hand and patted it gently. "Oh, and thanks for this disgusting excuse for liquor, I didn't think I would be able to keep you around until they showed up."

    Soon Stefan walked over. "Oh, and don't worry about the people in the bar. They've been compelled."

    Olivia's face brightened. "Did you think of that one all on your own? My goodness, I might have to give you credit."
    Damon.::.

    Damon looked over to Cydne. She had practically showered him in compliments that no one else had ever bothered to say to him. He was a good friend? He was willing to help the needy? Maybe being in New York was a better change in scenery than he thought, but still he couldn't stop thinking about back home. Mystic Falls was everything to him. He had fallen in love there, twice, he had been born there, raised there, and he died there... He had been turned into a vampire there.

    When she spoke again though, he snapped his thoughts back to her. He chuckled slightly at her words. "I think I could deal with boring for a while. Besides sometimes boring is actually a lot more interesting than things that seem interesting. At least that's how I've learned to look at it." he sighed, and closed his eyes slightly. That was almost entirely true too. Mystic Falls seemed boring that was for sure, but really everything about that place was riddled with other kinds of history.

    He was at a loss of things to do... Of course, it was getting later on in the evening and he was sure that Cydne would need her rest. She was human after all, at least as far as he knew. It seemed everyone who seemed human anymore turned out to be something else. A witch, a vampire, a werewolf, a hybrid, hell, even a doppelganger. He looked at the way she was acting. She seemed uncomfortable. He decided not to comment on it though, that would be overstepping boundaries... Wait? What?

    Overstepping boundaries, he used to do that without so much as a second thought, so why was this different? Oh well, he wouldn't second guess himself now. "So, old sitcoms? Are any on now? Since the old sitcoms would be less boring than the news." He placed the remote next to her and leaned back slightly.

    Klaus

    Klaus smiled widely at Olivia's reaction, grabbing his drink and taking a sip, "Well. It's very nice to see you. Fancy a chat? Good. Now…"

    He took another sip of his drink as Ray went through the usual spill of insults to Olivia. It was pathetic, really, listening to the same line of crap every time he killed someone. The 'who are you' and the 'what the hell are you doing here'…it got bland.

    "I'll cut to the chase.", Klaus said softly, smiling at Olivia, "…I need you to lead me to your pack…Now…"

    CYDNE

    Cydne sighed, realizing how awkward she was acting in front of a person that she trusted enough to be in her house. He had protected her, taken her to her audition, basically landed her the audition, and now he was in her house. Why was she being weird?

    Grabbing the remote, she propped her legs up on his thighs, testing out her own boundaries, and flipped the channel to "TVLand". She smiled brightly as "I Love Lucy" was playing.

    "I love this one. This is EXACTLY how I would be working in a factory…", she said, smiling brightly, and glancing at Damon.

    Olivia.::.

    Olivia shook her head slightly when Klaus began on looking to Ray, explaining that he needed his pack of wolves. Well of course Klaus did, he needed to test his hybrids, but Ray gave a defiant look and shook his head. "I can't tell you that." he told them and Olivia shot him a sidelong glance.

    "I believe that is the wrong answer." she informed him, but Ray just shot her a glare and she shot one back. "Hey look, my eyes can do that too." she hissed, and she stood up, looking to Stefan as she rummaged through her purse. "Oh well, looks like this will have to be done the hard way. And I so hate the smell of burning flesh."

    "What?" Ray asked, and she gave a slightly cruel smirk. "What the hell?" he asked and he was soon able to stand and move around. "Why did you release me?"

    "Well, you see, Ray. I have my own ways of getting information out of creatures like you, but quite frankly werewolves are a bit boring, I can't make a game out of it. He can though." she motioned her head to Stefan and soon brought her hand to the side of Ray's face, watching him slump to the ground. "Chain him up over by the dart board, and dip the darts in this. He's in for a rude awakening." she said, taking a knife and getting some of Ray's blood in a vial. "I'm going to see if I can track this pack my own way."
    Damon.::.
    "I Love Lucy" Damon recognized the old sitcom just by the sheer mood of it when it came on. He would never admit to having watched it before, but he had when he was killing time and trying to figure out where the writer's were going with it. Still, said episode caused him to smile a bit and when her legs came over him he could feel her warmth. It was nice, he wasn't used to someone feeling so comfortable around him, aside from Alaric, but they needed space right now. He needed to be away from the tragic town for a while and Alaric was trying to pull himself together.

    "Really?" he asked her, watching the episode. "So, you would wear your hair that way, and dress that way too?" he kidded with her, leaning back a bit more.

    He turned his head to the window as a car alarm went off, it wasn't his, he knew that, but still he had heard the small thud of a biker hitting a car, and he shook his head. "This place is loud. I like that much. Too much silence makes me a bit paranoid." wasn't that the truth? When things got quiet that just meant something worse was coming. That's how it seemed to be in his life anyway.

    Klaus opened his mouth to begin tearing Ray a new asshole for talking back to him. He shut it with a sigh, and continued his glare to Ray. With Klaus, this sort of glare meant that you were in the radar of a killer, and you should tread lightly.

    Turning his head to look at Olivia, he smirked, pleased that she had some sort of master torture in mind. Good. He was in the mood for a good torture, and would rather do it himself. Watching. Watching sounded okay, for now, though. How he loved a woman who knew her way around pain.

    He watched Olivia knock Ray out and order Stefan around, and his smirk grew larger. Leaning forward, he drew close to her ear, "You should be more careful. People may think that I've sunken my teeth into you…", he hissed with a wide smile.

    --

    Cydne laughed at Damon's poking fun at her, slapping him lightly on his chest, "Hey! My hair is frizzy enough. I'm not even sure I could get it all under a hair net, without it exploding out all over the place."

    She reached back and patted the huge bundle of dreadlocks, braids, and frizzy hair on the back of her head. She was proud of her hair, and the fact that even though it was weird to some people, she was able to pull it off.

    She watched his reaction to the noise outside, and sighed. Honestly, she wanted to know more about him. She wanted to know what was making him enjoy the city so much. He had told her the basic story of why he was here, but part of her didn't believe him.

    Sighing, she agreed with him, "I guess that's true. Around here, if it ever gets quiet…find a gun.", she giggled quietly, still kinda watching him. She might as well just say something about what she was thinking of him. He was in her apartment with nowhere to go…

    "So, I hope this isn't too much of a question to ask…but…why did you help me, today? I mean, I know that you're really sweet, and I'm sure that you would help anyone in need if you found them alone, like me, but it was like you chose me…"

    Olivia.::.

    Olivia's eyes scanned over the bar as Stefan did as she asked. Her face brightened with a dark grin, but soon Klaus' voice came into her ear and when Stefan walked over, after chaining him up, she looked over at Klaus. "I don't think they would think that." she commented, "Besides, most people know you to kill those you sink your teeth into." she soon stood up and looked to the darts that were soaking in the wolf's bane water before she walked over to Ray. He was still unconscious and she sighed a bit and snapped her fingers. "Wake up, wolf man." she ordered and soon his groggy eyes opened, and he moved towards her, but the chains held him back. "Remember, you wanted it this way."

    She brought her hands to either side of his face and closed her eyes, watching as his struggled stopped. "You see, most witches that actually are the age I look would rather try to get the information out of you by channeling your memories. I don't think that's any fun though. I mean, you went from being so nice to so mean at the drop of a hat, so maybe it's time you saw me do the same." she patted his cheek a bit and she looked over to Klaus as she took up a dart. "Care for the first throw?" she offered him a dart. "Only the tip was in wolf's bane, so you shouldn't have to worry if it does burn you."

    Olivia took up her own dart and took out another herb and dipped it into the red, powdery substance. "Stefan, be a dear and hand me that beer there."

    "For what?" he asked, but he handed her the bottle of beer Ray had bought her and dipped the dart in it as well and soon it was on fire.

    "I know I'll miss my mark, I have no sense of aim in darts. this just ensures that the wolf's bane burns him with the flames." she answered.
    Damon.::.

    Cydne's question took him aback a bit, and her reasoning did as well. He was sweet? Perhaps this charade was a bit too far off from his true nature than he intended, but he had played parts before, and this was just another part to play. Still, it made him feel in touch with his humanity, the part of him from before he was a vampire. The part of him that cared and loved just as recklessly in equal measure. The part of him that had his heart broken and played with, and the part of him that had been someone people could admire. And Stefan took that away from him.

    Still he gave her a small half grin. He had chosen her? Wasn't that just the half of it, and yet he couldn't go through with what he had initially planned. Not now. "Why did I help you?" he asked, and he thought a moment, "Well, I helped you because you seemed like you needed it. You looked kind of lost, and even though I am a lost person in general, I felt the need to help you. And I did choose you. You remind me a little of myself, and I couldn't help but want to help you."

    Okay, maybe that wasn't the whole truth, but there was enough there for it to feel true. To him. Who was posing as a human, and trying to bring back the urges he had this morning. Why was it that after hanging out with her all day and getting to know her that he couldn't go through with it? He didn't know he entirely, just that she was a quirky and beautiful young woman who didn't want to change him.

    Olivia

    Ray's pack had fallen through from what Olivia understood. She had received a call from Klaus when he and Stefan were up in the mountains that it didn't work, that they were rabid. She told him she didn't know what to do, that the ritual was done correctly and that he should be able to sire, but something told her that there were other magics at work. Magics that she couldn't tap into. Ones that her good friend Gloria could. So, to Chicago she began heading and she had arrived before Klaus and Stefan, and when she woke in the morning, she dressed in a plaid shirt and denim skirt. It was an oddly warm day, and as she zipped up her knee-high boots and allowed her hair to fall around her in loose curls.

    When she got down into the bar, Gloria smiled to her. "Morning Liv, so where are these friends that are supposed to be here?" she asked, and Olivia pulled her phone out of her purse and sighed.

    "Soon. Have you looked at what I asked you to?" she asked and Gloria nodded.

    "I'll need a person item of the witch. So your friend may have to provide this." she said, and Olivia nodded and when she received a text from Stefan she looked to the door.

    "They'll be here soon." she said, and once Klaus and Stefan walked in she stood up and Gloria turned.

    "You still run with a bad crowd, Liv." Gloria muttered.

    Damon

    Damon Salvatore, the bad boy with a cause... generally... was conflicted. He didn't like this. Cydne had been wonderful to him and made him feel wanted somewhere, but she still didn't know who he was, despite that they were now roommates. She had been nice enough to allow him to stay with her. That was a good thing, but at the same time the girl reminded him of Elena... But she also differed from Elena. He had been driving himself mad with it, and as he stared up at the ceiling he reached over to the glass he had brought with him, full of blood, and downed it. He had found creative ways to drink blood since being around Cydne. He said it was a special supplement he needed to take for his hormonal balance. Yeah right.

    Most of the time he just went out to his car and drank the blood straight from the bag, but he had been too lazy this morning and after he finished up his drink, he washed out his glass and dried it before putting it up.

    He wasn't sure if today Cydne had a shoot or not, but he knew that Alaric and Elena had been texting him non stop. Apparently Stefan was still off looking for him, but he didn't care. He had had enough of them and how they belittled him and didn't trust his judgment or his opinions.
