A smile came across his face when she began talking off the station. The best way to forget things, afterall, was to not bring them up, right? It didn't help that she was constantly trying to get a hold of him though. Sure, Stefan not answering her calls was something a bit odd if anything, but...
He shook his head slightly, banishing the thoughts of her from his mind and he turned his attention to the beautiful blonde beside him. At least she appreciated his company, even if he was putting on a show for her. When she looked away from him he looked at her neck, but quickly looked away before he could be caught. It was beautiful, pale, and almost yelled at him to rip it open. Even though the car was practically empty and he could compel the other rider, he couldn't bring himself to rip into her.
It was almost annoying how he found himself incapable of doing so. He had ripped into plenty of people, Andie Star, who had turned up dead a while after, and all the other girls and victims he had created. Aside from Caroline, but he would like to think that it wasn't a huge mistake. "Here's eight." he said, pointing the station number on the walls they were passing and he stood, offering her a hand.
It was tormenting him. Why could he just not rip into her and bleed her dry? Why could he not bring himself to compel her to not be afraid and just drink all of her blood? Why couldn't he do it? His conscience was virtually non-existent most of the time, and he hated how it decided to show up for this one girl. Beautiful and better than Elena... Better than Elena? That was a new thought to cross his mind.
Still, he helped her off the train and cast a side long glance to his company. "Let's see if we were right." he gave her a dazzling grin before he offered her his arm.

The drive to North Carolina had been long and she would have rather not have done it alone, but with the possibility of a random possession occurring again had her on edge and now she was tired and in need of coffee. Reaching over into the seat beside her, she took up her water bottle of vervain and wolf's bane and took a large sip. It didn't taste too bad to her anymore, but she had been used to the taste for the better part of 120 years. With a sigh she parked near a small cafe and walked inside, pulling out her phone and calling Stefan's number. Klaus' phone was either dead or completely lost she assumed. Or just out of service range.
"Hello?" the male voice.
"Hey there, boy toy. Tell Klaus I've made it into town and I'm at a cafe pumping myself full of caffeine. If you two are nearby we can begin looking for Ray." She ordered him before she hung up. Pulling her purse up her arm she got into the cafe, which doubled as a bar and sat at the counter. "Coffee, lots of it." she ordered and the man beside her laughed.
"Long day?" he inquired, he offered her a hand. "Ray."
She accepted the hand. "Olivia. Nice to meet you." And just when the she thought her luck was down. "What can you tell me about the town?" she blinked her eyes, flirtatiously and smiled to him. When her coffee came she put a little sugar and milk in it before turning back to Ray.
