3 Days

The power goes out. Your phone is dead. Cars don't turn on. All electronics are fried. You have three days until the hunger riots break out. Three days to prepare, get supplies, and organize. Three days is all you have, until cash is replaced by barter, and civilization gives way to the law of the jungle.

What do you do?

I've had the good training. I think even with my fucked up leg, I could still make it..... although, I'm pretty inconveniently located in the middle of a goddamn desert, so actually if there's no cars to get out I guess I'm screwed.


What I'd do from here I guess is head for the base, cuz that'd be pretty much my only hope. If anybody's gonna figure out a way out of the desert that's the place it would go down, and there's supplies, weapons, medical facilities, security, and best of all allies. Even if they never manage to fix a plane (I can't imagine why not, they're smart like that), I could stay there for several weeks working out a new plan, and I'd have someone looking out for me too.

I've got a secret cave halfway up a cliff above the sea in Cornwall and access to my squadrons armoury and my friend has some swords. They aren't the best at Cross Country running but they will be when we get there. Plus one of my other friends, the only other one who knows where the cave is, has a cash and carry card. Sorted. I think

Plus by bicycle and on foot, it shouldn't take more than three days to get to Cornwall. And there's some climbing ropes in my shed and there's around six archery bows in the cupboard near the staff office.

Nah, the arrows are for the people who follow me to my cave and anyone that gets close.

The food, I'd get that from the cash and carry. Plus the only people that live in the village near my cave are old people so I'd have all their food. They wouldn't last long.

I can at least say this for my area -- we've got more cows than people, so our food supply isn't ever going to be an issue. And the ranchers all have horses too. And the base has guns. Society can suck our collectivist dicks.

Hehe, sounds good. There's a stable about twenty minutes from where I live but the horses aren't fast; lazy buggers. Plus, me and my best friend may or may not have gotten really paranoid one night and set aside to Bergens filled with apocalypse stuff.. That's about it though, we aren't that prepared.

Know what you mean though, out of everyone I usually hang out with a lot, I'm only taking four of them to my secret cave.
