Sanae saw a bunch of kinds of Dark Matter appearing in front of them, and took out a spell card.
"Esoterica: Gray Thaumaturgy!" Sanae casted the spell. Two stars made from her magic appeared in front of her, and broke apart into many energy blasts at the Dark Matter, which destroyed those easily.

Archer watched as the group took off towards the origin of the dark clouds. From here he could the smog coming out of a garbage dump, but not the source. The group moved with purpose - did they know the cause of all this? He took off after them with this thought in mind.
Cyrax decided to investigate as well. He follows the group but also keeps his guard up in case anyone tries to well 'Sucker punch' them.
