Human society is such a sad state and I fear for all those future kids who have yet to experiance been different. All i can say is no matter what, they need to hold onto that thing that makes them different NEVER give it up no matter how much abuse you get, it is you and to give it up is giving up your own soul.

    Pretty place. I've been.

No one's quite sure why it's such a popular suicide destination.

I think it's to do with the fact that it's on the floor of Mt Fuji and covered in evergreen forests. It's literally known as the sea of trees and it's so dense that they probably think nobody will find their bodies. Mt Fuji holds a big spiritual significance to Japan, so maybe that also assists them on their decision.

Assisting on their decision I can agree with.

But I don't think it's a matter of keeping the body hidden, maybe at the start but it's so widely known as a suicide forest (they got signs and staff there solely for that reason) I doubt people are going though any more thinking they'll be able to hide their body.

Check out Vice's other vids, they do some great stuff. Their North Korea special is a favorite of mine.

Well, the guy in the documentary found a body that had probably been there for 1-2 years, so you never know if that's their goal to become ultimately one with the forest and to never be removed.

It's possible but wouldn't there be other forests they could do that in. One that's not on constant watch for bodies and people trying to kill themselves?

and Foster why are you lurking?
Just wondering if anyone was gonna respond.
