    Dragons of Argoth (IC)

Sorathius flew silently throughout the sky gracefully. Day was turning into night, and the sun was shining it's last before disappearing from view. He flew on the outskirts of the large, expansive Kingdom of Xerius, using stealth to remain hidden. He couldn't help but smirk to himself; petty humans disregarding his existence. However he used this to his advantage, worrying many humans by smartly making a very small appearance. One that would make some disregard it as an optical illusion, but drive others insane with worry.

After making his rounds he expertly made a sharp turn to the very tall mountain behind Xerius. He slowly folded his wings as he neared, grasping tightly onto it's side with his three, incredibly sharp claws. And slinking up it, until disappearing into a large cave.

He slinked through the cave for a few minutes until he entered a large, expansive chamber - breaking columns lined the edges of the cave walls, with frayed rugs on the ground. Scrolls, and other texts lined the floor in-between each column.

As he continued to walk he entered an enormous chamber. Lined with countless amounts of treasure, and chests - obviously gathered over many, many years. Sotharius curled up his long body as he lied on his massive amount of treasure, he let out a low growl, and puffed smoke out of his nostrils as he rested...
“Out of doubt, out of dark to the day's rising
I came singing into the sun, sword unsheathing.
To hope's end I rode and to heart's breaking:
Now for wrath, now for ruin and a red nightfall!”

Rakul flew over this new found land. It was expansive and already had inhabitants below he could tell as human farmers screamed and ran across their feilds as he flew over. He laughed, 'Pitiful humans. How your screams bring me such joy.' He looked around, 'Now I need a place to call home. Now where..." A shock ran through Rakul's head, "Ergh what is that infernal racket!" Rakul said aloud as he landed in a wheatfeild. He layed down though it was hard to blend a giant, black dragon, in yellow wheat.
Dragons flew above. Not directly but he could sense them, 'This changes things. There are too many.' He thought to himself. Then a smile grew across his face, "Time to get the help of the locals." He said and took flight.

Moments later he landed on a large noblemen's house out in the country. There Rakul sat until the man walked out. "What the hell was that! Robert if that's you playing up there..." The man turned to see the dragon on his roof nearly the siz of the mansion itself. He stumbled and fell over, "Wha..wha..What are you?" The man said panicing. Rakul laughed and leaned towards the human with his long neck with his firery warm breath running out of his mouth, "I am the great dragon Rakul and you will gather me a dwelling and an army with it." The man tried to slide back on his hands, "A dwelling? An arm.." Rakul cut him off with a roar! "You will do as I say aand you will do it quickly or I will end your puny little life!" With that he took off crumbling the roof below. "When I return it best be done!"
    NO LONGER ROLEPLAYING...

I'll miss you all, have a great time and maybe someday I'll be back

Working on a story, hope you all give it a minute to read (give the first chapter a try if it doesn't grab you, don't continue) http://figment.com/books/635080-Eternity

Hearts and followers would be nice, I want a good, strong, fan base so that one day I can take this to kickstarter and get it published.

Shoryu was soaring quietly, High in the air, as high as he could go where the cool air would sooth his muscles and number what pain still remained from his encounter the other day. He was simply waiting, letting time pass as he waiting for a signal, or a feeling, that told him he was near a new home, the sense of other dragon's nearby, and the cooling of the night as the sun died down did nothing to deter him, then it hit him.

He opened his eyes now, seeing the darkness all around, and the moon in the sky, It was night time, and he banked, not noticing that he was nearly directly above a large castle, albeit far above, and headed north-east. It almost felt like something wall calling him in that way, Maybe nature or something, but he continued on for many miles until he laid eyes on a great mountain, certainly not the largest visible under the moon-light, but sufficiently large for his size, and he made a nose-dive towards the south western edge of the mountain, noting the forest below and nearly surrounding it.

He landed with a rock crackling thud, shaking the ground for a small distance and quietly approaching the mountain, a feeling struck him and he grinned toothily "This will do... wonderfully... a Far more durable home... Now i need only 'carve out my niche'." He took a deep breath for a moment, expanding his chest slightly before releasing a gooey ball of swirling muck at the mountain, creating a bright flash and the sound of an explosion, un-concerned about what else may be in ear-shot of that blast. It created a large enough hole in the mountain that he'd be able to easily claw out large chunks, though he paused and made his way to the nearby forest edge "ahhh... how satisfying it feels to 'work' for one's home... I best make sure it will be hard to be interupted."

The next thing he did was, quite effortlessly, swat some tree's up from the ground, ranging between 10 and 30 feet tall, creating a small pile on either side of the torn up hole he made, testing his wing span and pushing the piles aside to adjust, using them as a measurement for how wide to make the hole, he wanted it small enough that he could easily block it himself, but with enough room to grow. Then he left the hole again, going about 200 meters from the spot he'd chosen, then began a somewhat time consuming process of tearing large chunks of rock and dirt from the ground, spreading it out little by little to create a growing trench, though he left it incomplete at about 4 carefully places 20 foot deep holes, which he would connect later.

After this he went back and finally set the piles of tree's on fire, very clearly marking the positions he intended to use, and thoroughly lighting the area up, began he began to slam his claws into the stone, making numerous thuds as he tore at the rock and ripped out bits of rock, little by little until they formed usable lines to the edges of the entrance he wanted, which also reached up about half his height again above him. He considered using his breath to do a large portion of this starting work, but he 'was' also in a new area, and could very well end up needing it to defend himself, though to get rid of the debris he did make small piles and strike them with simple balls of air, without the explosive mix, and send them flying into the forest, which as he worked would create a rocky field around his new territory.

The fire's nearby were working wonders for now keeping him warmed and energetic, constantly tearing one chunk after another out of the wall, slowly filling out the first 'slab' of empty space, and then began on the next, spending a good handful of hours repeating this process over and over. When the sun began to peek over the horizon, he finally took a break, only half as deep as his own body length, he was certainly well worked, though not exhausted, he 'was' feeling hunger, and began to wonder what he would do for food, it was probably about time to go find something to eat, but he had no clue where were good hunting grounds around here. Rather he opted to think on this as he went about a more relaxed pace of expanding the trench on the edge of his new 'home' and considered what could be a good idea now, some scouting would likely be a good idea soon.

While half-asleep; Sorathius was awoken by an incredibly loud noise. Within less than a minute he had speeded until he was outside his cave. Noticing the noise came from one of the smaller noises he let out a deadly growl, and flew towards it.

Eventually he noticed a large - yet young Dragon. Just entering into maturity. He landed atop the side of the mountain, letting out another low growl. "Sssooo, a young Dragon hasss come into Xeriusss. Be forewarned, young one: Thisss is MY land, my territory. Come anywhere near Mount Artavius, and I will sssseee to it you are desstroyed." He slinks into the firelight, revealing himself. "I am Ssorathius. Remember the name, and resspect it. And all ssshould be fine..." With that he disappeared into the night, flying back to his mountain.

The skies rushed past the ears of the young dragon, ruffling the fur crowning its head and running down the slim shoulders to cover the base of her wings, sleek and blending perfectly into the sky. The four wings tucked in as the body shot straight like a arrow to the ground bellow, adrenaline rushed through Elinor's veins she knew if she were to move any of her wings into the wrong position it would snap the bone from the force of the wind, she was finally free from her brothers and sisters tirades and now searched for her own place to call home. Right when she would smash into the farm house she lifted her head up and snapped open her wings and shot her across the fields as she floated back up, her muscles in her wings screaming in protest from the jarring as she slipped through the skies it was quite the sight to see for those who had a keen eye. Then she spotted it, a single mountain separated from all others, coated in ruins from man and surrounded in lush trees. If dragons could smile she would be grinning from ear to ear. Instead she flexed her jaw and slipped down from the skies, using all senses available to her to detect the possibility of other dragons in the area. She had smelled many in the air this morning as she had flew from her nest and had placed herself on high alert.

Nightime came & Tessaril was flying back to his lair in the mountains, with Aaron on his back. Today he started teaching the boy how to catch fish. He was flipping his wings & looking down on the world beneath him. After seeing some travelers running away from him out of fear, Tessaril felt the need to say something. "Aaaah! Such a shame humans cannot understand that all dragons are evil. Sure they have a reason to fear us, because of our power & large size, but they need to understand that there are alot of us are that are not violent & bent on destruction."

"Yeah, like you!" Said Aaron as he layed down & hugged Tessaril's back, as the dragon reached the mountain area, where his lair was. Tessaril folds his wings & gets inside his lair, as the young boy leaps from his back down to the ground. "So? What now?" He asked. "Now you will go to sleep. It's already very late." Said Tessaril as the young boy made a sad face & turned around with his hands crossed.

    Ahh... Freedom, once more...
Shylten sighed into the wind that her swift flight was creating. She had left her former home the previous morning, and was speeding forward in search of a fifth home. She had finally left behind her very last souvenir from childhood, deeming it time for her to fully enter adulthood. She savored the feeling of the sun on her glistening scales, and closed her eyes in bliss as she felt the tips of her wings brush a cloud.
Only to snap them open again, as her ears picked up simultaneously a sound from below and a quiver from above. A dragon. Humans.
She quickly maneuvered to her left to get out from under the other dragon. As for the humans... Let them taste my might, she thought instinctively, before remembering that it would only alert the other dragon. She hummed a dragon tune as she slipped away, flying above the clouds so as to be hidden from the pitiful humans.

Her brown eyes took in the countryside below, looking for a cliff to settle for the night. When she spotted mountains to the north, she turned a somersault before diving in. As she alighted, she savored the smell of prey fleeing in terror. She tilted her left wing and, lightning-swift, snatched a mountain lion. No fun. She set it back down and watched it wobble with a smirk. Then she delicately ripped off two limbs. A few moments later, she tossed the rest in the air and swallowed it whole. Well, whole minus the two limbs. Hah. That's more like it.
She flew around some more until she found what she had wished for: a high cliff dropping straight down for several hundred feet. She settled on the very edge and let her gaze dance among the trees below. Maybe she would stay here, maybe not. Anyway, this was a pleasant spot to spend the night.

    Argoth...
Shylten's nostrils quivered as they took in the sweet scent of dusk. Along with the trail of blood left by her prey.

Shoryu had kept at his diligent work, cleaving one chunk after another from within the mountain's new wound, he was almost half of his body length into the hole when he heard something akin to splitting air, and began to pull just about when there was a thud above him. He looked up quickly and laid eyes on a smaller though probably even longer dragon, a curious look crossing his muzzle as the elder male began to speak, and then as he was about to reply he just up and left already, urging the big lug to cock his head in curiosity as he watched him zip back off into the darkness. "Well... that was rather rude... And i wouldn't even know what mountain that is...though i guess he can't mean this one."

He was just turning around to get back to work when he hurred a dull muffled roar, more of a groan actually, and let out a grumbly whine as his stomach began demanding attention "ohhhhh... I guess... Time to eat then... I hope there's a village near here." This interupted his work completely as he propped up on his haunched, tightened his legs up nice and tight, and threw himself into the air with enough force to put that bulk a few 100 feet high where he could easily catch the wind with those great wings.

He flew his way southward from his chosen mountain, eyes browsing the horizon and the land for miles around as he climbed higher, hoping to find somewhere close, wanting to manage a snack 'before' the sun came up enough to make him especially visible. There was a village only a couple of miles from the mountain, but it seemed quite small, a fairly distasteful feeling hitting him at the thought of taking live-stock from such a small town, compassion for humans, pretty rare isn't it? so he continued on, the very dull light of the moon and 'perhaps' soon to be sunrise revealing a greater distance of the land, and bringing to his attention a Farming village a couple more miles south, a smile crossing his muzzle as he took it for a sign there'd be ample food sources there.

He was not disappointed as he neared the farmland, finding no little humans seemed to be awake, or at least so few it was negligible, and ample wide open live-stock pins, certainly not protected against mythical beasts. He swooped in quickly, his mind running on both hunger and planning as he looked over the pin on approach, His fore-claws stretched forth as his tail lowered, first snatching up a pair of cows in each paw, their shocked noised muffled by his grip that soon broke them into silence, and his tail coiling around a post as he flew by, ripping it from the ground with each as well as the cows that were tied to it.

Unfortunately this wasn't the best idea, a couple of the ropes snapped quickly, throwing their cows back to the ground, one wiping out a fence and the other landing directly in a roof top, this urged him to quickly coiled his tail further, loosing another cow before he got it wrapped tightly around those that remained and, not free to bank off and head back towards his mountain. He flew as quickly and as high as he could to avoid letting himself be noticed, he wanted to at least finish the protection for his new 'home' before alerting any humans to his presence, though as he flew his stomach groaned against and to silence it he whipped one of the cows into the air in front of him and snapped it up whole, only possible due to his great size, and swallowed it down as his little snack.

He had stopped worrying about the progression of the night towards day as he neared his mountain once more, drifting down and tossing the few in his paws into the cave before he landed with a Thud, moving over to one of the piles of still burning tree's and shoving one pile away from the wall, dumping what remained held in his tail behind it, and with a short count he'd nabbed about 5 with his tail, making a mental note that farmers may be tying about 8 to each of those holding posts. After he felt they were sufficiently hidden, he reached into the hole, devoured another very much dead cow before he shuffled off to continue work on the trench surrounding his little area, He wanted it as inaccessible to humans as he could get it and was quickly back to the process of tearing chunks from the ground to create this arc of deep trench.

THIS IS A COLABERATIVE POST BETWEEN MYSELF AND SHORYU!

Poor little squirrel... He had no clue as to what was about to hit him. Yumiko was crouched low to the ground, hiding underneath a thick bush near the chittering rodent. This was the only time she was ever still; when she was hunting. Not a single muscle twitched as she watched her prey, waiting for the proper moment to strike. It was the first lesson her mother had taught her about hunting. The squirrel scampered closer, seeing a nice, ripe nut just right for the picking. Too bad he’d never be able to eat it. With a loud squeal, which was supposed to be a roar in Yumi’s mind, the little blue dragon lept from her hiding place. The squirrel didn’t have a moment to react. Yumiko had her jaws crushing its skull in a matter of moments, and she happily drank down it’s life’s blood as it twitched. She wasted no time downing the furry little creature in one bite, licking her lips of the tasty treat. Yumiko looked up to see the sun starting to set between the trees, making her whimper. That wasn’t good... She hadn’t found a place to stay the night yet! She needed a safe place to sleep, and fast...

A sudden explosion made her squeal again and jump a mile into the air, leaping back into the safety of her bush. Was it humans? No, couldn’t be... They wouldn’t be this far into the mountains for no reason at all. Yumiko slowly crept out of her hiding place, sniffing the air. Nothing different... Wait! There was the faint smell of fire and... Another Dragon! Yumiko smiled. She hadn’t seen another of her kind in the longest time... And hey, maybe he could give her a hand finding a safe place to stay? Yumiko smiled again and bounded into the woods, following her nose towards the origin of the strange smells and sound. Would this dragon be friendly? Yumiko hoped so. She wanted a new friend! Maybe some one to point her in the right direction, or even stay with for a while! That would be nice, she thought... A place to finally stay instead of constantly struggling to find shelter before the sun set. A simple request, if any.

In the time it took for Yumiko to ponder all of this, she had wandered into the place where the dragon was working on... Something. Yumiko stopped walked as she was suddenly hit with a bright flash of light and a rush of hot air. She ducked behind a tree and peeked around it, utterly in shock of what she was seeing. It was a dragon, a HUGE dragon! Yumiko couldn’t even begin to comprehend how much larger he was compared to herself! She wouldn’t be surprised if his big toe was larger than her. Yumi kept to the shadows, watching the behemoth before her work. As time went on, Her eyes began to droop and her vision blur. The warmth radiating from the fires and the constant sound of stones tumbling around was mesmerizing, and, before the moon had even reached it’s peak in the sky, Yumiko was asleep.

    ------------------------------------------

When Yumiko woke once more, It was because she coud hear wings flapping nearby. A rather loud thud and shaking earth made her stumble to her feet, looking around. It seemed the massive dragon had gotten himself some food from the Humans. That was good! Maybe if she was quick enough, she could run in, grab a quick bite, and get out before he noticed she was even there... Wait, What was that? Yumiko looked back at the massive dragon, and her eyes lit up with joy. He had a silver mane running down his neck, and it sparkled and shined brilliantly in the early morning light. Why hadn’t she noticed it sooner? It was so pretty! Yumiko jumped a bit as her stomach growled at her. She had to focus! Food was more important than silvery hair!..... But it was so shiny and pretty! She simply had to have some! But how? Surely such a large beast wouldn’t notice her presence, even if she were one him... Right? Right. With that thought in mind, she darted out from her hiding place.

It was going to be a simple mission; Run in, snag a bit of the dragon’s hair, and then get out. The perfect crime! Or so Yumiko thought. Her plan was suddenly turned upside down as a rather large claw dipped into the earth in front of her and tore up a large chunk of land, blocking her path. Well, so much for that plan... And now she was in the open! Yumi looked up to see the enourmus dragon looking down at her. That.. Wasn’t good! Yumiko stared back at the large dragon, half paralyzed with fear and half unsure what to do. Was it angry with her trying to sneak up on it? Was it going to hurt her? Yumiko decided to not take a chance. She turned tail and bolted back towards the treeline. She prayed that the larger dragon’s size would reduce his speed... And it didn’t.

Shoryu Had been doing exactly what he’d been doing the entire night, Single mindedly working on the trench to make sure no humans or random little animals got into his new home to mess with his food or steal anything he happened to loot. That was when he dug his paw into the ground and saw something right next to it, so tiny, yet undoubtedly draconic, and the scent was unmistakable so close up. He paused to stare in slight surprise for a moment, but quickly pulling his paw from the ground, and as she darted off, Taking a few bounds to close the distance, imagining that while zippy fast for her size, she’d need to be larger with such proportions of speed to out-run someone with a large stride.

He suddenly changed his plan though, and gave a leap, Giving his wings a beat to send a blast of air beneath him and try to knock her down while he soared over her head and landed on the other side, a planned fall taking place as he flopped onto his side, forming a big scaley black wall infront of her. She might still run or fly away though, so his tail curled around quickly to try blocking off the other side, and then his wing spread out above to try and keep her down. Right about now he imagined she was probably overwhelmed with fear, he imagined if things were reversed he would be too, though rather than try to eat her he just gave a little smile, and after a few moments pulled his tail and wing back. ”Now what brings a little thing like you all the way out here alone?... I wasn’t aware there were any nests around here, nor any cute little things like yourself.”

Of course this position also gave a perfect view of all of the silver mane that lined his spine and drapped in her direction because of his momentum before landing. ”I bet i know why you ran, but you don’t need to worry, I don’t eat other dragons... I don’t even eat humans, of course their cows, that’s another story, fat little meat sacks.” He slowly shifted about then, turning to face her, hoping she wouldn’t flee suddenly now and brought his muzzle down to get a closer look at the teeny blue dragon ” ‘are’ you out here all alone? I wouldn’t imagine someone might leave their hatchling wandering the forest alone.
This wasn’t good! The Larger dragon was easily overtaking Yumiko, and her heart began to pound in both exertion and terror. All she had to do was make it to the treeline! The dragon was large, but navigating all those trees would be difficult, even if he was that large. But it wasn’t to be. A sudden loud, powerful rush of air caught her wings, sending ehr flying a few feet into the air. It was the closest she had come to actual flight, though that was the farthest thing from her mind right now. She was much more concerned with the wall of scale bearing down infront of her, blocking her escape. Yumi scrambled back to her in an attempt to circle around, but found a large tail coiling around to block her off. Maybe she could clim- … Great. The larger dragon was thinking quick, and destroying every option she had of getting out of this mess. She looked for some other way to escape, some way to get out, but only found herself staring at the enormous dragon’s body wherever she looked. She whimpered as she realized she was well and truly trapped, shaking a bit in fear.

Eventually, it spoke. Yumi jumped as its voice boomed out, turning to face its head as it righted its body. She didn’t much care for whatever it was saying, but at least it smiled and sounded friendly enough. Not that she could really understand anything it was saying. She wasn’t dead, so that was always a good sign. As she listened to the larger dragon, which she now identified as a male now that she could actually smell him, she was thoroughly distracted by his silver mane. The way it twinkled in the emerging sunlight held all of her attention. She took a few tentative steps forward without even realizing it, and as the large dragon shifted once again, so did it’s silvery hair. She chirped happily and bounded forward. She used his thick hide as a springboard and lept off it, easily scaling up the side of his body and grabbing onto a locke of his hair, releasing a high pitched growl as she tried to tug some of it off his body.

Shoryu was quite happy that she stopped quivering in fear, though the apparent mesmerized look made him wonder about her sanity, even more so when she gave a growl suddenly and leapt off of his nose to get at his hair. It urged him to jerk up suddenly, blinking as she clung to some of his mane strands and seemed to just hang there, blinking at the little blue creature hanging there, randomly opening his maw and whipping his tongue out to give a little slurp. “well now that’s just way too adorable...” He eventually did a little padding off towards the big hole in the mountain, slipping in where it was even darker and ducking down near the food, maybe she’d jump off and go eat something so he could finish working on the trench.

Jarmor flew through the clouds as the Human in his clutches pleaded for help. “Yes, keep crying. No one will hear you,” Jarmor’s voice boomed in the sky, easily silencing the human. But it wasn’t long before the human started again, hearing the dragon speak only made the Human scream louder.

“Please!” The Human begged. “Who is going to take care of my family? My poor sons. Please, don’t do this.”

“You want someone to take care of them?” Jarmor chuckled.

“Yes, please. They need me to survive.” The Man was crying now.

“If that is your wish, I will take you back to them,” The dragon replied thoughtfully.

“Oh thank you!” The Man shouted with joy. “You are the most kindest of dragons!” Jarmor almost laughed at the compliment.

The Man continued shouting his praise, much to Jarmor’s displeasure.“Now that we are going back to take care of your family, I would appreciate some silence.”

“Oh, well of course.” The Man grew quiet, and Jarmor was able to fly in peace. The flight back to the human’s house wasn’t a long one. Soon even the Man was able to see the small farm through the thick clouds. “There it is!” The Man cried for joy. Pushing his wings close to his sides, Jarmor darted towards the ground, descending at a rapid pace, only stopping the second before he landed. Three humans ran out from the small farm house; A Mother, and two sons. All of them stopped the second they saw the dragon.

“Father is that you?!” The tallest boy questioned, his voice swelling with joy.

“Yes, the dragon was nice enough to take me back. Speaking of which, can you let me out of your grip now?” The Man asked.

Jarmor ignored the question. “A pity, she is an attractive human.” The Man’s wife, a beautiful woman by anyones’ standard, raised her eyebrows at the compliment.

“What do you mean, a pity?” The Man asked.

“I mean, it’s a pity that I have to care of her.” Before the Man was able to speak again, Jarmor let out a jet of fire. Burning the man’s family alive, only burnt corpses remained when the smoke cleared.

“You bastard! You said you would spare us!” The Man yelled desperately, biting and kicking the dragon’s claws.

“No,” Jarmor said, oblivious to the pointless attack, “I said that I would take care of them, and I did. Now the two of us can have alone time.”

“You’re a monster! I’ll kill you if it’s the last thing I do. I will make you pay for this!” The Man’s voice was filled with hatred.

“Oh how I doubt that, tiny man.” Suddenly Jarmor’s entire body was shaking with laughter, his deep chuckles silencing out the man’s voice. “Now to take care of the farm!” With a single flap of his wings and strong push of his legs, the dragon was high in the sky, flying over the small farm. “This year was looking promising, I bet. Look at all of that corn.” By the house there was a small bit of land, covered in corn that looked ready to harvest.

“Please don’t! Other villages depend on that food. Just leave it so that they can have it!” The Man begged.

“I think they can live without corn.” With one deep breath, Jarmor was able to cover the entire farm, including the small wooden house, with intense jets of fire. Nothing was left standing, the corn fields, the farmer’s house, Jarmor made sure that it was all burned to the ground. The only thing that he didn’t burn to complete ash were the three bodies that lay by the destroyed house, he wanted the corpses to be seen by anyone that happened by the rubble. The Man screamed in terror at what he saw, unable to look away from the unfolding horror. Jarmor simply laughed with pleasure, it wasn’t everyday that he had this much fun. “I think it’s time that we head out of here, don’t you?” No reply came from the Man, only tears. “Very well.” Jarmor began to fly away from the scene, the crying Man in his claws. The cries reminded Jarmor of a dying cat, loud, annoying, and it was starting to bother him. It was going to be a quick flight back to the swamp he had found earlier, but he wasn’t sure that he could take it for that long.

The relentless crying continued as the flight dragged on, it was as if the Man could cry for eternity. “Oh, how you are annoying.” The screams continued for a few minutes, before Jarmor could no longer take the annoyance, and so he opened his claws and let the Human fall towards the ground. A few short seconds passed, then the screams stopped. Jarmor guessed that the Man had found the ground. “Pity, I was looking forward to how long you could hold your breath under water.” Jarmor looked up at the seemingly endless sky above him, letting himself be taken away by the stars. Soon though Jarmor had to take his eyes away from the stars, in order to survey the land below him. This had been his first time in this particular region, he was glad it was proving to be entertaining. Throughout the earlier times in the day, he had seen plenty of human settlements that he would be able to have fun with; More than he was used to. This place does have potential. The only real thing that worried him were the other dragons. He wasn’t sure how many there were, but, from what he could smell, he guessed that he was bound to run into one sooner or later, and he wasn’t looking forward to it. Aside from his Father, Jarmor had yet to meet a dragon that he could consider a friend.

Jarmor suddenly closed his wings and began taking a nosedive towards the ground. Damn, almost passed it up. As he got closer, the swamp became easier to see in the darkness. “Almost like home,” He mused, folding out his wings to stop the quick descent. This swamp was much like his first home. Slimy water, thick with trees and even the strong vines, Yes, almost exactly like home. It wasn’t nearly as expanded as the swamps from his home, but it was more than enough for a small dragon like himself. He hadn’t much time to explore the swamp earlier, so he wasn’t sure where he was going to sleep later. “Oh, there we go.” A huge tree, with very large branches, looked promising. Jarmor jumped onto one of the branches, and tested it. “This is perfect,” he thought aloud. Curling his tail around the branch, Jarmor closed his eyes. Now what?

(If you were wondering what the tree looks like, the one Jarmor is laying on, think of a spanish moss tree)
