Pokemon interest check

A fair warning, this isn't going to be like the other pokemon rps I've seen on here, so just letting you know now...

This takes place in the real world, not the pokemon world. Pokemon sales have been down so the company decides to host pokemon tournament, the finalist get to test out a new type of gaming equipment for the final few rounds and the winner will be named pokemon champion. The contestants will bring an old pokemon game and they will use their pokemon on the game to compete with. During the finals the new system will download the old game party and it will be uploaded to the character's pokeballs. The gaming equipment is a pod which the user sits in and becomes completely engulfed in the game (the game becomes reality to the brain), so I figure that as the people are holding the tournament, something goes wrong with the equipment, and now the players are stuck there. The people on the outside manage to send a quick message and let the people know that they must make it to a certain spot in order to be brought back.
If it gets enough interests then I'll go into more details and all in the OOC.

Also interested, one flaw I can see however: if people are competing in tournaments, you are looking at players having a full roster of six 99th level pokemon.

I was planning on having the people holding the tournament setting the pokemon all at a certain level (probably 50) but, the surrounding pokemon world was going to be filled with pokemon at a similar level.
Also, just a heads up, this pokemon world is going to be a bit more realistic. So if a person gets hit with a fireblast, they're not going to look like they do on the show, they're going to get burned.
