As for the rest of you fuckers that this does concern; This thread is meant as a proposal, but also a place to voice your questions, comments and concerns to this specific matter.

And now we shall address and explain the most obvious questions that must be known....

Mein gott, I hope you guys didn't jump to this conclusion. That would be so many shades of fail...As awesomely super spectacularly fucktastic as it would be to hold an entire con full of geeks cosplayed as the various students and faculty of our wonderous academy, that's just not realistic, and it is not what I'm talking about...

Then what the bloody hell are you blabbering on about, my good sir?

This is an idea I've been thinking about for sometime, and literally spent an all nighter devising the best way to work this so pay attention or I will find you =.=

The plan is for the members of TJA to finally have the chance to get to meet eachother face-to-face during an awesomely fabulous anime convention! Not only will you get the chance to finally glomp/rape/paddle/smack down/stalk/cuddle/castrate your dear friends at TJA offline, but also enjot the mind-blowing occurence of attending a radical anime convention! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

Golly gee, that sounds neato! Where in the whole wide world did you have in mind to do this?

Considering like half the members of TJA reside in Florida, I focused my convention search on the Sunshinne State and picked out a dandy little gathering called MizuCon! This particular con is being held at the Double Tree Hotel/Miami Airport and Convention Center, which are connected or nearby...I'll need to double check, though it's undoubtedly in the same vacinity!

Why MizuCon? Were you just drawn in by the cute mercow mascot?

...truthfully, yes....

However I do have more sound reasons than that! MizuCon was the cheapest of the cons I researched in the state; only 26$ for a 3 day con if you pre-register a few months in advance! Plus the hotel provides a discount to the geeks attending; as little as 109$ a night for a single or double!*

On top of that I checked the ratings, guest panels and events, and it seems to be quite the hoopla! (Yaoi/Hentai PJ party anyone? XD)

And I have to wait 2 years for this? What's up with that?!?

As much as I'd love to arrange an earlier meeting (I literally lost sleep over this idea), I am a realistic Overlord...mostly....

In anycase, if we wait two years, the majority of the TJA family will be 18 or older, which does make the trip more efficent due to the fact that A) you're a legal adult and therefor will likely not need parental permission and B) you'll be able to participate in all those naughty 18+ events! Also very important to keep in mind is the fact this trip will cost many a shiny paso, so two years seemed like a good amount of time to allow everyone to stuff thier piggybanks!

And on a personal note, some of us have just graduated and are heading off to college this year....I hope I don't have to explain further how expensive that can get...>~<;

College is also the reason I chose a summer con! I hope that makes the date avalible to more of you!

I want to go, but I might be to young/poor/occupied/other to attend!

This may be a long shot, but again considering the majority of us will be "mature" adults by this time, I hoped we could make this an annual (or semi-annual) arrangement. We could attend a different con each year, varying from New York and Georgia and Texas and maybe even out of the country like to Canadia or Europe!

But we'll save that discussion for another day.

What exactly will be required for this fascinating journey?

For starters; money. The trip itself will be costly (though I assure you, I was very cautious financially while searching for locations and events), but on top of the money needed for the room, the flight, the admission, rada rada rada, you're going to want to eat something other than pocky during those 3 days, and you may want even more to splurge at the vendors, where there will be plenty of hot anime and japanese goodies gallore!

Cosplay is reccomended. I'd even consider bring multiple, unless you want to weat the same smelly outfit consistantly throughout the con. Granted, you would not be alone. Also, Strawberry brought to light the idea of cosplaying as our characters at some point. While I may or may not show up one day clad in a Ghoulish ensamble, covered head to two in vampiric red or sporting pink hair, gothic attire and robotic limbs whether or not you want to participate in this is completely up to you.

Finally, I suggest looking for a buddy to share a room with. As long as everypony promises not to rape one another, I don't think sharing a hotel room should be too much trouble, and it will be easier on you finacially. A double costs the same as a single, though the prices ascend for the triples and quads. And before anyone gets any ideas, please do not come to ME. If things procede as I imagine they will, I will be spending my nights with Goldi, and I assure you that it'd be less traumatizing not to be in the same dwelling, as I'm sure we'll be gentley caressing eachother's brains out. Or something.

This is half the reason why I estaished this thread. I hoped to propse the idea and make a place where you guys could voice your ideas, ask questions and do other stuff relevant or completely off topic that we wouldn't get yelled at for. I know there's more questions to be answered, as I spent quite some time having conversations with myself to check what information needed to be cleared up. So by all means ask what you need to; I'm sure I'll have the answers.

I hope many of you are interested and can attend....though I feel the need to remind some of you that the con will not be like TJA, so you cannot blow up/destroy/pummel/ignite/spider armageddon the building. (I'M LOOKING AT YOU IVAN, GOLDI AND KEEF)
