I'm really surprised no one went for Spain, they are one of if not the best International side's the world has ever seen.
In my oppinion the only teams that could stand up to the Current Spanish squad would be the old Hungarian team from the 50's or of course the Brazil of the 70's

The 2006 Italy squad would have made a good match up with them. If that squad had better producing strikers that year, the current Spanish team would lose out at least 8 out of 10 times against them in my opinion.
While Spain IS a phenomenal team, it's time some one knocked them off there high horse. I'm sick of hearing about them from the fanatical band wagoners that associate with them every major tournament.

I do agree about knocking them off, you can't talk about serious international football without knowing Spain are going to at least go far if not win every tournament -_- I would have liked to see Germany get to the final they were horrific against Italy. But in a few years when Xavi and more importantly Iniesta start to become a little easier to play against I think the Germany of the future will have the best chance.

Damn Germans. £20 I wasted on their useless arses. And to think that they lost to Italy, who then got their football boots handed to them on a silver platter. Absolutely disastrous.
@Everblight Mata and Jordi Alba are the new generation. Already Jordi Alba is one of the best left back's in the game, and Mata has been phenomenal every time I see him. Iniesta's form has been getting poorer over the past few years, and I can tell he's starting to slow down a bit. Xavi's still as good as ever, but still needs to pass the ball.
MY OPINION.
