ok, so the title of this thread isnt really what im having a problem, but i couldnt think of how to word the title.

what im looking for is some online resource that will tell me the distance between 2 real stars. its for a star trek RP that i want to be as accurate as posible.

you are a better googler than me, thank you

    "Distance to the Nearest Star"

thats not even close to what i asked for... i dont know anyone who doesnt know that its 4.3LY to the nearest star.

what im looking for is the distance between any two real stars

for example between Aldebaran and Epsilon Ceti B

    or Mu Leonis and Rigel

or any other two stars in our galaxy

Oh, you're looking for the distance between two specific stars, and not just something general? So, something like this: http://www.neoprogrammics.com/distance_between_two_stars/index.php

You're going to have to do some math and research (Wikipedia) to find all the things you have to plug in, but I used that to find that the distance between Aldebran and Epsilon Ceti to be 57.079 LY. And really, I don't know anyone who doesn't know the distance between the two to be 57.078 LY.

Kidding aside, I don't think anybody in the Star Trek RP would call you out if you were to say the distance between Star A and Star B was 91 LY when it really was only 87.
