    Oyo Wasteland OOC

This is the OOC for the Oyo Wasteland RP, which is based on the Fallout story. I said I would tweak the story if you were on the Interest Check, so, here it is.

(The past, if your wondering, is now changed exactly like the Fallout universe)

    The Oyo Wasteland...

The Oyo Wasteland is named after what natives call the Ohio River. It stretches as far as Missouri and to Pennsylvania, from New York to Georgia. For awhile, everything was peaceful and independent in the Oyo. However, factions has started to rise and nature is striking hard inside it...

...Some kind of robotic horde with a central mind has sacked a small settlement known as Cairo, built in the ruins of the Illinois city of the same name. They are now marching twords Kentucky-Tennessee with one goal to *scientific voice activate* TO DESTROY ALL HUMANS. However, they will have to face the Proletarian Union. The Proletariat Union was founded by people in Pentapolis, a very successful town near what used to be Bowling Green-Nashville, Kentucky-Tennessee, who had enough of apparently "crooked" merchants known as the Merchant's Guild who says that they are oppressing the common people's money by having prices only the rich can afford. They are a Marxist (or "Pure" Communist) society that believes that everything should be shared by the people for humanity to survive. Even though this sounds like a noble idea, many people say that all that will happen is some Stalin-like dictator will rise from the nation and will ruin the Marxist paradise like every other nation in Pre-War times.

The Merchant's Guild is based in Merchant City, which is re-named Atlanta, Georgia which has not been nuked (A.K.A its very functional). They are by far the oldest and most influential nation in the Oyo, even if they are on the very edge of it. They are promoting that one day they can bring back great-quality items and make people successful and rich by making Capitalism work well in the Oyo. They have trade networks from Florida to Canada and from the Appalachian Mountains to the Mississippi. Even though it is without doubt that it IS working, and very pristine to be exact, some argue that, like the Proletariat Union, is only because of giving the rich power though greed and oppressing people with a "neo-corporarte" empire. There is also the fact that they openly sell drugs, mainly Jet and Psycho, to people who ask for it. That really ticks off religious people.

There is a strange disease that is threatening the Upper Oyo. Apparently, if you have an high enough radiation level, you can become a mindless zombie (and not like a Feral Ghoul, as there body still is in-tact.) that eats every being, alive or dead, on sight. That is why the Order of the Irradiated Cross was founded in St. Jackson, a settlement between Kentucky and Ohio. The Order is a Teutonic-Based well...order...that is designed for two things.

A, To rid of anyone who has the disease, as they say it is a satanic curse.

and B, To convert people back to Christianity, as most of the people in the Oyo are now ether Agnostic or Atheist.

Many Christians or people who's family or friends has been affected by the disease and has saved them support the Order because they believe that they are bringing back God into the Oyo and is effectively ridding the disease. But some non-believers think that the Order is treating others badly, or even killing them, just for being non-religious and not opening to come to be converted or them being wrongly accused of being a "Zombie".

The BOS Chapter in Ashville in North Carolina is one of the strongest west of the Atlantic Coast, and is even more influential than the Merchant Guild in most areas in the Appalachian Mountains. This chapter deals in making vehicles, so they own a lot of Vertibirds and there own design of "Armored Car" which has a huge Gauss Rifle on the roof. They have awesome technology they usually share with the Merchant Guild, thus they are great allies.

Enclave is still in Ft. Knox in Kentucky, very little is known about them other than being the fact that they are Enclave. Even though they seem peaceful, they are extremely territorial and never lets anyone inside the Fort. There is also Vault 82 which is in the fort, and very few people escaped. Rumors are spread that they have armies that the Merchant's Guild would shit there pants over.

Lastly, Pittsburgh has founded the Oyo Republic, which installs old world views of democracy and freedom as response that every other faction just wants to suppress people. They are quite organized, and has easily stabilized the Oyo Pennsylvania region with a quite advanced squad-based army and a remarkable currency establishment. However, others who want the land to be independent say that they are slowly descending into Fascism.

Most people, however, are independent, and do not care about any of the factions, and just wants a savior who can stop both the zombie disease and the "Binarial" Disease that threatens the wastes.

Class War, Corruption, Plague, Binarial Diseases, Religion, TOTAL WAR............Whoops...wrong series...Umm...

Because War, War Never Changes..." There we go!

Just A Hint I would allow the people to be born anywhere. And Then I Would Advise For More Than Just Fixed Faction Characters And Wastelanders. Like Most Of The Fallouts There Were Vaults. Another If You Are An Important Person, You Won't Be Doing Any Exploring. Another, Super Mutants Are Bad And I Don't Exactly Think You Want A Super Mutant. There Is Also The Brotherhood Of Steel. You Might Think They Aren't There But They Search The Wastes For Technology So They Have To Be Somewhere Here.

I think I've got a character for this, but if able I'd like to take part as one of the "important people" or "Elder" of the BOS. Also, that's the name for the head guy of a BOS chapter.

Croknight - He did put the Brotherhood of Steel (BOS) and if you played Fallout 3 or New Vegas you'd know there are good super mutants. Most first generation super mutants are good because they aren't completely insane.

No, they are only insane if they're generation two, three, or higher (Though Fawkes is an exception, as he regained his mind by being locked up in a room with a computer that had tons of information on it), not first gen as they all found freedom once "The Master" was killed by the "Vault Dweller" in the first Fallout.

I think you might be confusing the Super Mutants with Ghouls which eventually do go insane.

Actually No Only The Ghouls That Can't Handle The Wastes. And If You Read The Book On It And There Is A Book Fawkes Does Eventually Go Insane. And There Is Also A New Master Coming Soon IN The Upcoming Fallout So There Are Many Masters In The World

I've never heard or seen any Fallout books. As for a "New Master", where'd you hear that from? Super Mutants only followed the "Master" because they thought he was a God, but a human killed him so they realized he wasn't. There's only one "Master", not several scattered around.

Actually, I have seen no evidence online of Fawkes turning insane. The only ones that are a ticking time bomb are Nightkin because the Stealth Boys mess up there brains (because it is an acutal drug)

However, Super Mutants are not a huge part in the Oyo, just saying. And you can be born anywhere, as there is a "Rural Area" which is anywhere that is not a Major city but still part of the Oyo. And there is "Not in Oyo Wastes" which is anywhere outside of Oyo.

If this is true, What are the books? And how did you get evidence of another fallout? I'm interested in both if you are right. Not questioning anything.

And P.S, Wastelander 2 is NOT Fallout. Wastelander series is just the spiritual ancestor of Fallout. Just putting that in there if that is what you are thinking is the sequal.
