Tobi traced over the grooves on his pocketwatch with his thumb absentmindedly. His parents had gotten the watch specially designed for him. The numbers had all been raised along with the hands of the watch so that he could feel the grooves and determine what time it was. 5:45. The interviews were nearly done then. He had spent all morning in this stupid room with his parents' assistant, Charlotte. Now he liked Charlotte well enough but after spending nearly eight hours with her in this little interview room, he could tell the Charlotte was getting more and more impatient.

His parents had high expectations for him, blind or not, and they definitely had high expectations for their employees as well. "This is the last one," Charlotte told him, taking a sip of her now lukewarm coffee. Tobi straightened up and felt around for his cane. He found it leaning against the side of the table and propped it up against the arm of his chair, near his hand, he always felt more comfortable with his handy cane close at hand.

"Alright Charlotte," it was up to him to decide who to hire in the end, that was why Charlotte was still here. She was here to advise him and give him her opinion on the candidates who walked in, but it was all on him in the end to decide who to hire, she really had no say. And there were a couple of good candidates that he and Charlotte had interviewed, but nobody really stood out to him. "Come in!" he called out, finally settling down in his chair.

asia was nervous since she had seen alot of people walk in and out of the tiny little room. she was glad that she was not weird about being in small rooms. her hair was down because she did not want her scars to scary people into not giving her a chance.

asia walks into the room and smile softly at Charlotte and see Tobi. She walks over and sit down and said" my name is anastasia dawson but most people call me ana or asia." She was very nervous and the last time she was this nervous was when she was waiting on someone to tell her what happen to her parents and why she was in the hospital when she was little.

Asia was in jeans and a nice blue button up shirt. her hair was down past her shoulders and some of it was behind her ears. her legs were cross by the her ankles. she was ready to get this interview on its way, since she has been waiting all day.

"Well Miss Ana," Charlotte began, looking through her papers. "Do tell us a little bit about yourself and why you think you'd be good for this job." Tobi tensed a little bit the moment she stepped in through the door. He was trying to figure the girl out by his other senses since his vision was impaired. Tobi sniffed softly, he could smell Charlotte's perfume to his right, it was a little strong, but he had quickly gotten accustomed to it during the eight hours he spent in the room with her.

The new girl that had just walked in smelled clean, that was a good sign, one of the earlier candidates walked in just reeking of booze and alcohol. Her footsteps were soft as well, no telltale clicking of heels, so she was in flats? sneakers? Not as formal as some of the other candidates but Tobi didn't mind. If he was to have an assistant he didn't want somebody calling him mister and sir and being all formal with him every step of the way, that would drive him crazy.

She had passed his preliminary test, he nodded to himself and settled back into his chair more comfortably. Of course, Charlotte tended to scrutinize each candidate under a microscope practically. Tobi would listen to her findings and her opinion after the whole thing was over, but he was beginning to like this new girl.

ana sigh softly and said" ok i am 20 years old, i love helping people when i was eight i was in a car crash with my parents a drunk driver hit the car and my parents were killed not wearing seat belts and i made it with scatches and bruises and a broken arm and i lived with my grandparents for nine years" she stop as she did not like to cry but she like getting hard stuff out of the way.

ana whip her tears away and said" for nine years i help my grandparents my grandma was blind, i help her as much as i could and i learn alot of things from her, just because someone has a disable or scar does not mean they are helpless it just means they have challenges and most of them are more understand of the real world then most people that dont have problems pyshically or seeing wise or any other way" she look over at tobi and look away

ana look at the women that was sitting behind the desk and said" i know what it is like to feel different and i know what it is like to want to be normal i think it would be great to work with someone like tobi and maybe see the world how he does with out really seen" she knew she messed up but at the moment she could not think of the right word. ana look at tobi and back at the women again and said" i do not know if tobi is like this but what i do know is that no one wants anyone to feel sorry for them or feel like they need a babysitter or feel like someone is pity them, they want friends and people to understand, after all i think that is what we are all looking for" she hope she answer the questions the best way. she was not really good at explaining but she was willing to try

There was the faint whirr of an air conditioner and Tobi's ears instantly picked up on it. He turned his head around a couple times, trying to pinpoint the exact location of the sound simply with his ears. There was a cool breeze blowing from his right, there was a vent there then. Probably where the sound came from too. He was easily distracted by all these sounds and things that assaulted his other heightened senses. He was would not rest until he figured them all out, what it was and its location in relation to him.

Once that was figured out, he refocused his attention on the girl talking. He had heard his fair share of sob stories before. People always walked up to him, telling him how things were going to be better, telling him about their mournful past and how they got over it. How they were now successful. But despite his past experience, there was just something about this girl that Tobi picked up on. He wasn't quite sure what, but his curious nature would definitely not let him stop until he figured out what was bugging him so much about her.

Charlotte nodded and wrote something down on a piece of paper in front of her. "Well I must say, you do seem to have quite the experience. I think that will be all. I shall contact you later, after I discuss with Tobi here about what he wants and is looking for." Charlotte shot a glance at Tobi, who was still staring off into space, his face a mask of complete calmness.

ana smile and nod her head and slowly gets up and walks right past tobi. she notice that the noises of the ac which was right beside him kicking on and off. she knew when it kick on and when it kick on the light flicker a little and it sound like a small boom. how she knew this was because of her grandma and some of her grandma's friends when she was around them. they would describe how the world was to them. she knew that they had no use in the eye sense but their other senses were good.

ana walks out of the room and breathes not notice that she had handle her breathe. she could not help but be nervous alot of times she was judge on her appearance. she hope she gets the job as she walks to her apartment. it was nothing special but it was her home. she notice her husky and her black lab laying by the window. she smile and unlock the door. she puts their leashs on them and decide to take them on a walk.

Ana walks aroun the park with her cell phone in her pocket. she felt like she was going to get the job. she felt comfortable around tobi. it was a feeling that she could not explain and it was a feeling she never really had before. she smile as she throw a stick and let her dogs go after it.After a while she goes back to her apartment and makes herself something to eat. she feeds her dogs and takes a shower and goes to bed.

"So? What do you think?" Charlotte asked Tobi expectantly. Tobi had his hands folded neatly over his chest. He was deep in thought, running through all of the candidates through his mind, eliminating ones from the list as he went. He hummed softly as he went through the list. Finally, after a long pause, he looked up in Charlotte's general direction. "The last one. Go call her. We'll give her a test run," he picked up his own phone and ran his fingers over the keys, feeling for the little raised bumps that would tell him what was what.

He hit the number 3 and held it for a moment. Automatically, the phone dialed the preset number and a man picked up on the other end after one ring. "Bring the car around and take me home please Sebastien," Tobi told his driver. With that, Tobi grabbed his cane and made his way out of the room carefully. He had a mental maps of sorts in his mind from all the time that he spent in that chair. With practiced ease, he made it through the door and quickly down the hall to the elevator.

It took him a moment to find the button for the elevator. He waited for a moment before he heard the ding and the elevator doors slid open. Tobi tapped the sides of the door with his cane to make sure he would get into the elevator unharmed. It took him a moment to feel for the ground level button again but he got it and the elevator travelled smoothly down the shaft. At the door leading out to the street, Sebastien met him there and helped him into the car. Once Tobi was safely strapped into his seat, Sebastien gunned it and took off towards Tobi's home.

the next morning ana gets the phone call that she was going to be giving a test run for the job that she had done a interview for the day before. she was excited since she really hope this work out for her since this is what or is around the general ideal job she wanted to be working in. she wanted to be helping people since she like helping people and that is what she was going to school for at the moment. She fills two bowls up with food and water for the dogs and leave the back dog door unlock as she puts up the gate so they would not be running around the house chewing and tearing up things.

After ana eats some cocoa puff cereal and puts the dirty dishes in the sink. She runs to her bathroom and takes a quick shower and gets out and puts on some pants and a t-shirt that was loose on her and loose sleeved. it was white on top and as you went down the shirt it change into a dark purple color. she puts her hair up in a ponytail so it was off of her neck. she puts her cell phone and some money in her pocket as she locks the door behind her and slips the key in her pocket as well.

She gets a cab to take her to wear tobi's house is at. she was nervous but excited at the same time. she gets out when they pull up to the house and she lightly knocks on the door. she waited to hear someone say "come in" or wait for someone to come open the door.
