Um... I wasn't thinking of Buu at all. Piccolo Jr? Yes. Buu? Gonna go with "No" on that one.Most if not all Dragon Ball Demons are evil, and don't even bring up Buu, because I hate that saga with a passion. The Ogres that assist King Yemma are the only ones I can think of actually being good, and none of them would be on Earth in order to sex someone up to give birth to you or your grandfather or whatever the fuck.
Also, how much about demonology do you actually know of? There are demons who's purpose is to "Sex" up a human in order to produce powerful offspring. They're called Incubus (who impregnate human women) and Succubus (who get knocked up by human men).
And InuYasha is literally the last thing on my mind. Believe me, I kind of hate that show and therefore have no desire to copy it. What I'm going for is a character that struggles to keep his urges and instincts in check because the human part of him wants to be good (whereas the other part just wants to kill people and feast on their flesh).

I'll even take the first step and forfeit the ki eating. I figure if it's going to be a Jekyll/Hyde thing, then feeding on ki is unnecessary. The demon half is essentially Mr. Hyde who gets out on occasion and essentially goes on an evil spree, while the human half is Jekyll struggling to find a way to either suppress it or get rid of it entirely.

Xiv, the thing is...demons like that DO NOT exist in Buddhism or Shinto. There's demons who masquerade as humans to have sex, BUT then they tend to steal from them or kill them out of sheer revenge. The thing that the Japanese have with half demons is they make them half demons so they can have romantic relations for the storytelling and human emotions...otherwise, they plain out don't exist in Buddhism or Shinto which is what the DB universe concentrates its influences on.
Want to know who King Yemma is in Buddhism? You don't have to look far beyond the name.
Why don't you just come up with something a little more unique? The DB universe expands quite a lot. There's a lot more in the way of possibilities other than a generic demon character, hell, there's even a rabbit anthro who's touch turns people into carrots. Monster Carrot took a rabbit and made it dangerous.
First of all, says you. (To the Piccolo Jr. thing) If we're talking Dragon Ball, and not Z, then he's a DEMON. He didn't become an Alien until Z and it was made clear that this is not Z.
Why do you people immediately assume the character will suck before I even get a chance to make it? Just give me a freaking chance to the MAKE the damn character before you go judging it! I don't give a rat's ass about Bhuddism or Shinto. This is an OC universe which means the rules can be changed. Not only that, I'm not an anime writer. I'm not trying to write a demon character for freaking ROMANCE. I'm writing it to explore the psyche of a character literally suffering from a Jekyll/Hyde complex (the demon thing is there to explain where it comes from). There's no romance involved.
Again, lighten the hell up and LET ME MAKE THE CHARACTER BEFORE YOU BASH IT. Jesus-effing-Grandma.
What? Nameless Namek appeared several times in Dragon Ball? You know he wasn't a demon. You know the words 'demon' and 'demonic' isn't the same when you use them figuratively as a noun, right? 'Demonic' being evil and demon-like, not necessarily a demon. It's the same with Kami appearing over and over. I think Sloth has made it very clear he doesn't want any weird half-demon things popping up.
And once again to that, Sloth has made it clear. I've known Sloth for following the DB universe closely and guess what, Toriyama got it all from Buddhist inspiration (he DID want to make it about the Monkey King, but wasn't able to make it unique). You'd just have to figure out that if Sloth already denied its existence, he's probably not going to approve it in a second round.
Just my twin pennies: I say Xiv has the right to try and make a CS. It may get knocked down and not approved, fine, but at least hold off until it gets denied. Xiv, I suggest you get a back-up character in mind, just in case.

And about Incubus and Succubus: Do they exist in Dragon Ball? Doubtful, only Demon I've seen relatively close to that is Princess Snake, and she was filler. Just because I don't want a Half-Demon around doesn't mean I don't know about them?
