    Stars of Eden (OOC)

The galaxy of Eden is teeming with life, and an entire nation or alien race is at your command! You have a ton of freedom in their formation, growth, and potential victory. Every race has their own story, so the plot of this roleplay is based on you guys and how our races will interact with each other. There's no forcing your race into some plot that wouldn't be right for them. In that regard this is more of a sand box nation building then a strict roleplay following a single path. You can also join at any time, although you are not guaranteed a sector of your own if you come in late.

    IC

    http://roleplayerguild.com/showthread.php?t=158774

    "Gameplay"

No complicated calculations are needed. The "gameplay" here is more based on reason then anything else. During battles (or for anything else) we write about how you want to proceed. Let's say that I want to have two ships ambush an enemy fleet. It's as simple as writing that my ships are doing so. That's where reason comes in. If I have two ships ambushing your fleet, we need to figure out if they could have been able to realistically do so, and then we write about the realistic results of it. If I said my ships are fast but weak, then my writing in the IC should reflect this, having me fly my ships nimbly around rather then tearing through their shields with ease. With no exact stats or numbers it will be up to the ones involved to decide how fair the battle is proceeding. If you get hit with dozens of missiles into a ship that you said had weak defense, then obviously you need to say that it was destroyed rather then selfishly pulling off some miraculous stunt that could never have worked. If you guys can't agree on anything fair then I'll step in and try to help.

To win, one faction/race must have control (military or influentially, such as through treaties) over the entire galaxy. However, this roleplay should be mainly for fun and creating a cool story rather then just playing it like a game to win. You can experience the IC in through the eyes of one or more characters rather then treating it like a computer rpg where you are simply giving the units their orders and then watching from afar.

    Exploring the Galaxy

The galaxy is divided into 76 sectors. Each sector is usually named after a solar system found within that has a planet serving as the capital of the sector. Gaining control of the capital planet often gives you control over the sector. In rare circumstances the sector may have no capital planet or any life at all, while other sectors may have more then one capital planet due to at least two factions inhabiting it and neither willing to give way. At the moment, no single faction/race can have control over more then 3 sectors.

Sectors unclaimed by anyone, while being explored, may be inhabited by an NPC race created by me. This is to stop you from spreading out at the start without any interference. NPC races will have their own unique personalities, so some might open up a whole can of worms on you while others can be crushed underfoot. If you choose a more powerful race at the start, then the NPC races surrounding your location may be tougher or more aggressive then someone who has a more modest race. If someone is getting steamrolled, a few NPC races may even try to help them out a little if ones with such a personality are nearby. I won't make it impossible to win by punishing success; this is mainly to give everyone a more fair chance.

While exploring the galaxy we don't take turns where you get a set movement. It's dependent on how fast your ships can move and they move in "real time" in the roleplay. For example, in the IC we're having a battle and I have a fleet that would be an hour away given their speed. After an hour in the IC's time my ships will have arrived. Each sector is rough 13,000 light years in length, so keep this in mind. Luckily, ships can have faster then light travel. An average speed can travel the distance of a sector within a week (That's roughly 2,000 light years a day). These warp speeds are called Space-Time Shifts, and each interval is 1,000 light years faster. For example: ST-1 speed is 1,000 light years in a day. ST-2 is 2,000 light years in a day. Very few ships can go over ST-5 light years, and even if they could it would probably kill everyone onboard besides the must durable of species. The ST Infinite Effect is a theoretical instant teleportation to anywhere, but many people consider it to be impossible.

I will post the map of the galaxy below. Maps of solar systems and planets are up to the people inhabiting it, if they so choose to make one. The sectors are numbered, so choose any open sector in a first come first serve manner. I will color in your chosen sectors with your chosen color so it will be easy to see which sectors are free. Click the bar on the top of the image to make it larger.

    Races of the Galaxy

The alien species that inhabit this galaxy are many and diverse. Some of them are oddly humanlike, leading to certain theories about them having common ancestors (at least from a certain type of DNA that favors that form) while other species appear to be unlike anything that you've ever seen before. You have a ton of creative freedom in the creation of a race, or multiple races (however, if you control multiple races I still won't allow you over 3 sectors between them. They can be NPC's if you don't want that restriction). The main restriction for your race is that they can't be unstoppable, meaning that there should be some weakness that we can reasonably be able to exploit. If they're super strong and durable, for example, give them weaknesses such as low population, worse technology, or whatever. Like I said earlier, I'll give your race a tougher time while fighting NPC's if your race is more powerful, but up to a certain point I won't allow them to be overly powerful. Super weapons that can destroy a planet in a single blast count as overly powerful. I can create an NPC race later on with something like that, but it's not for us.

Humans have made their way into the Eden Galaxy through long lost Space-Time Shift technology given to the Atlanteans from an alien race. These aliens, known as the grey little men by humans, are the only alien race to have traveled to the milky way galaxy.

Here's a sheet for your race (if it's just a nation for an already made race, such as humans, there's no need to fill out the middle section):

    Name-
Homeworld- (A name and a brief description)
Planets- (List of controlled planets other then your homeworld. Large space stations could be included)
Sectors Controlled-(Maximum of 3 to start. Please say what color you want them to be on the map)
Sectors Explored- (All sectors that your race has been too)
Behavior- (As a whole, how do they behave? Aggressively? Uses negotiations?)
    Government-
Military- (A basic score from 1 to 10 to start. 10 is the strongest military you could imagine for a single nation/race to start this roleplay. A race strong enough to take over the entire galaxy themselves will probably be in the 50's. Your military strength will get larger the more you've taken over)
Economy- (A basic score from 1 to 10 to start. Same idea as the military)
    Allies-
    Enemies-
    History-

    Appearance-
    Lifespan-
Biology- (Interesting things about their biology such as if they generate electricity, and other strengths and weaknesses about them. Are they strong? Fast? Flexible?)
Other- (Be as descriptive as you want with things not covered previously, such as if they have their own language or not. You don't need an "Other" category if it's a lot of different stuff. Instead, create addition categories in your sheet to cover it)

Technology: (No need to say every piece of technology, such as that they have toasters. Posts things that aren't obvious assumptions, and if you don't have something that is an obvious assumption, then post here that you don't have that technology)
Military: (Guns, vehicles, amount, volunteer or conscription based...anything military related. You can put it all into categories however it feels natural)

    Rules

    1. All standard forum roles apply
    2. I can add rules here should the need arise
    3. Keep bad language to a minimum. If you feel the need to cuss, it would be good to have it your races language or something. I won't jump on you for a bad word here and there, but don't go overboard with a sailor mouth.
    4. Keep most posts at least a good paragraph long (7 sentances). A few short posts won't cause me to pounce on you (like earlier) or anything, but make sure it's not a habit.

    Name- Faera
Homeworld- Liorea. It has a lot of water and islands. There's a lot of food based resources, but other materials are in limited supply. The materials that they do have are generally more flexible rather then being able to withstand a lot of damage. Due to their technical advancements they're able to build cities that can go with the flow, surviving hurricanes by bending with the wind and then reverting back to it's original shape.
    Planets- (Still to come)
    Sectors Controlled- 41,42, 50
Sectors Explored- They have explored everywhere besides the far reaches of the north, west, and south, and sectors where it was too dangerous to pass through. This makes the sectors too long to list.
Behavior- Faera don't back down easily, so demands don't work well against them. They negotiate peacefully with those who are willing, but for those that stand in their way they are perfectly willing to use military force. They don't go around taking over peaceful nations, but instead seek out those who can be a threat to them and eliminate them. They are often involved in wars, joining them when asked if it's in their interest. They enjoy communication and are curious, so they're prone to exploring the galaxy for more races to interact with.

Government- Faera society is run by a monarchy, ruled by Queen Lilana, in their capital planet of Liorea. Due to the large scale of the Faera's territory, their ruling structure has become somewhat convoluted. To help her rule the many planets are Faera known as the Councilresses. Each planet has around twelve of them (give or take depending on planet size or importance) working together to call the shots on their planet. Each planet also has a High Councilress who acts like that planet's executive while the other Councilresses act like the legislative. All of the Councilresses are elected, unlike the Queen, so if the Queen is doing a poor job then the Faera can elect High Councilresses who oppose her. If 80% of the High Councilresses oppose her then the Queen has to step down. This has only happened once.

    Military- 10/10
    Economy- 7/10
    Allies- (Still to come)
    Enemies- (Still to come)
History- Faera first appeared on what they believe to be the island of Kailithsil. Due to primitive artwork from long ago it appears that there were male Faera at one point, but for whatever reason they had died off and Faera had become a single gender race long before written words were ever invented. The island had a lot of dangerous creatures, but the first Faera were able to survive by out breeding the competition and using their higher intelligence to come out from near the bottom of the food chain to the top. After boats were invented they quickly settled on other islands as well. This eventually developed into their first independent colonies, and with that came war between them for resources or other reasons. A different queen had control of each island, but the Queen of Elisareana Island managed to unite them all either in battle or in treaties. That island became the capital of the Faera nations and had control over them, although independent nations and war between them still existed until past their medieval age when guns were invented. After one last civil war between two sides, the side loyal to the Queen of Elisareana won out and they were all formed into a single Faera nation.

At this point their technology flourished, and within another fifty years they were in the space age. Their population was recovering from the massive civil war and would soon overpopulate the islands and drain their resources, so the space age for them was really important. They managed to inhabit a lot of planets within their sector, one planet named Uraiha was home to a race called the Ureih. They were only as tall as the Faera's hips and didn't have as good of technology, so any Ureih opposed to the occupation weren't exactly wanting to fight them. A lot of them willingly greeted the Faera with open arms, however, especially liking how the Faera could protect them in exchange for allowing the Faera to occupy the planet. Other planets also went smoothly into their control, a couple home to aggressive aliens but nothing that the Faera wasn't able to handle.

While the Ureih are their main vassal, they also have come in contact with smaller vassals or even other races on equal footing who have established trade with them. With this extra involvement with other races has gotten them into some wars. Luckily, Faera have yet to lose a war (although that's not to say that they haven't suffered some defeats, some even major ones, in battle). Due to the large population growth and for other reasons, Faera are continuing their expansion.

Appearance- Faera are an all female race of humanoids. Their basic body structure is incredibly similar to that of humans, offering almost no discernable differences if one were just looking at their silhouette, although the Faera are generally more curvy. Their height and weight, compared to female humans, are slightly taller and heavier on average and with more muscle mass, although these muscles are more compact so not much more visible then human females.

Their most obvious distinction at a glance would be their skin color, which can range anywhere between blue to purple, although a rare genetic trait can allow for a milky white color which is sometimes accompanied by yellow patterns. Most Faera are of a solid color, although some can have a mixture of different blue and purple patterns unique to that individual. Solid light blue is the most common color, being a dominant gene, and is found in about 50% of all Faera. 30% are a solid color of anything other then light blue and the remaining 18% are a mixture of two colors. 2% is made up either of white skinned Faera or those with more then two colors. A Faera's skin color is not relative to her environment. Some places might have way more purple colored skin, but that is do to the genetics being passed on among the group living there.

Their iris's are most commonly orange, followed by yellow or silver, although they can be a wide variety of colors. Vivid and warm colored iris's far outnumber irises that are cool colors. Like their skin, their eyes can be a mixture of different colors, so heterochromia is not all that uncommon among Faera. Even a single iris can contain different colors. Their eyes are larger then humans and their pupils are silted, although usually not as pronounced as cat's pupils (not to say that they can't be).

A Faera's brain is larger then a humans, and thus gives them a slightly larger forehead but not so large that it looks out of place. This gives them slightly higher intelligence then humans on average, although most of it's for increased sensory perceptions and the like rather then making them all total geniuses. Their hair color can be any shade that their skin can be with the inclusion of white being far more common then white skin. In fact, it's one of the most common colors, although some Faera prefer to dye their hair due to other races considering white hair to be a sign of old age. Their hair is usually slightly fluffy and grows very quickly. They have many different hairstyles, some of them quite bizarre, although the most bizarre hairstyles are from the highest in social class or those who don't do a lot of manual labor. In terms of body hair, Faera have none, and their eyebrows are usually more sparse then humans. They do still have eyelashes. Faera tend to have narrower/bowed lips and ever-so-slightly pointed ears. They have no other noteworthy differences in appearance.

Faera fashion is very diverse, but usually futuristic in appearance. They don't seem to mind wearing outfits that are bizarre and make them stand out, which allows for many different artistic styles to flourish. Oddly enough, however, they usually prefer to avoid loose fitting articles of clothing like dresses unless under certain formal attire standards. Baggy or loose fitting clothing is often associated with hoodlums, even what humans would consider to be normal shorts are too baggy. A common material in Faera clothing is a flexible plastic-like substance that can illuminate and change colors without need of a battery. An interesting thing worth mentioning is that Faera almost never wear socks or hats. A lack of shoes is a socially acceptable yet "do at your own risk" practice.

Lifespan/Birth/Aging- Faera live to be around 80 years on average with a maximum life span of around 120 years. They're able to maintain their youth much better then humans, being healthy and able to produce children into their old age. Due to this fact, it's hard for outsiders to determine how old they are at a glance, excluding Faera children. A Faera matures at around the same rate as a human up until fourteen, which is the age when they're considered an adult and the aging process begins to slow down. Once they appear to be around 40 they're starting to get very old.

Faera don't need males to be born. Rather, Faera can release a pheromone that allows for the exchange of genetic material through a sweat-like substance absorbed through the skin. Luckily, the one receiving the pheromone can reject the reaction caused by the pheromone if she chooses. Both of them release the pheromone during this process, which could result in both of their pregnancies if neither of them reject the process. This style of reproduction allows it to be fast and easy with no unwanted pregnancies. A Faera is pregnant for around five months before giving birth. An average Faera gives birth four times. Due to this efficiency in birth, the Faera population is known to grow rapidly.

Faera cannot procreate with another race despite what some people might tell you, although that doesn't mean that they haven't gotten in a relationship with other races on occasion. Most have a preference for women due to obvious reasons, although that doesn't stop a sizable group of men who dream of getting in a relationship with one.

Biology- Their internal organs are shifted around somewhat from what humans are used to, being more symmetrical. The most important change is their heart a bit lower and along the midline of their body, not angled to the left like humans. Their blood is fluorescent purple.

Faera have a gland in the exact middle of their abdomen that contains a potent chemical, which is to be released when their normal body's defenses aren't enough to handle the threat, mostly viral or biological in nature. This gland is called the Faerin Gland (named after themselves, the only race which they observed to have it). The chemical it releases is so strong that it kills the Faera's normal cells, excluding the Faerin Gland specifically meant to contain it, so if it's released then the Faera is bedridden for weeks or possibly even killed outright. It has been used in the past to stop epidemics that would have killed off millions of Faera, which is why all Faera now have this trait passed on to them. On the downside, if the contents all spill out at once then it will almost certainly kill the Faera within seconds. This would happen if the Faerin Gland ruptures or the sphincter in the gland relaxes, possibly due to a genetic defect, specific poison, or upon death. It releasing upon death is actually a good thing, wiping out all of the bacteria and viruses in the body to help control the spread of disease.

A Faera's body is sensitive to electrical stimulus, being able to knock them out easily with anything other then weak electric shocks. An electrical shock that would cause moderate to severe harm to a human could easily cause death to a Faera, even if it was not enough to burn them. Another weakness is that they have higher respiration rates, so they require higher oxygen consumption at all times. They are effected by inhaled poison, suffocation, and drowning much quicker due to this. On the bright side their bodies are able to handle higher and lower temperatures better then most races. They're quite nimble, flexible, and their legs have a lot of power to them, even more so then human males.

Language- Faera speak Feliorei and are also prone to using a lot of body language called Bielrei, which is so in depth that this body language counts as it's own language. Most of them learn languages of other species that they come in contact with a lot, so most Faera can speak at least four languages.

Feliorei is made up of long flowing words with lots of vowels. They have shortened versions of some words that give a sense of urgency, demand, or seriousness, which is rarely used in everyday dialogue. Exceptions to this is soldiers, for obvious reasons, or for lower class Faera who don't speak as elegantly. How Faera say something is just as important as what they say, and slightly changing the pitch in some places can totally change the meaning. This tactic can be used to fool with outsiders who are unaware of this fact. Their language is filled with honorifics, elegance, and expressive words with both good and bad connotations.

Bielrei, otherwise known as body language, is often used in conjunction with Feliorei, although can be used separately as it's own language. It's like sign language, but in this case it uses all parts of the body (mostly the hands and feet) and almost all Faera know how to use it. Subconscious gestures, which Faera are prone to doing, also count as Bielrei. An interesting thing to note is that their dance routines can literally tell a story with their footwork and motions.

    Technology:

Faera built technology commonly uses myrium, a gem-like substance which emits energy of whatever color the myrium was, most commonly a hot pink. Finding large quantities of myrium is often a difficult task as it is located within large bodies of water. While Faera are usually good swimmers, they can't hold their breath for very long so it was a while before myrium was able to be put to good use. Still, even if difficult it's not exactly like myrium is rare around the planets that Faera have inhabited. The high cost of excavating it leads myrium to be used most commonly in the military rather then civilian use. Faera have other means of power, such as electricity, which is cheaper but not as powerful as what is given off of myrium. The energy source of myrium remains locked inside the gem until it's activated, in which case it flows outward in a manner that can be controlled.

    Military:

Army- The Faera have a massive amount of foot soldiers at their disposal, so much so that many of them don't actually have any combat experience. Most of them wear flexible blue armor on top of a black bodysuit that conforms to their body. It feels and looks like incredibly smooth plastic. It's so light and flexible that it doesn't inhibit the Faera's movements at all, but the defense is able to be penetrated with high powered weapons in a single shot. In can block pistols or other weak firearms for a few shots, but won't protect them after repeated blows. Some of them get myrium coated armor, a gooey substance inside their armor infused with myrium energy. This allows some weak to moderate energy based attacks (such as lasers) to be dissipated quite efficiently, although repeated high powered energy attacks can still break through quickly.

While the soldiers are often inexperienced and have weak armor, they're still not to be underestimated, both due to their seemingly limitless numbers and even on an individual basis. They're often very brave, charging into the face of danger and refusing to give ground when on the defense as long as they yet live. Dying in battle is very respectable for them. If they ever retreat, it's probably due to orders for a tactical reason rather then running for their lives. Their skill, if properly exploited through training and experience, can also be very good, not to mention that their teamwork is often times considered top notch.

Their weapons excel at close range while being worse at long range. This is due to the myrium's energy dissipating quickly as it travels. Myrium can be infused with extra energy to avoid this, although only snipers make use of this. Most Faera weaponry doesn't have rapid fire in order to conserve myrium, so their weapons instead focus on more powerful single burst attacks with a fire rate of about a bullet per second. Their most useful and well known weapon is perhaps one of the best shotguns in the galaxy, and is known as the Chendra. The myrium gem inside is in a large piece, and upon firing it breaks up into a lot of smaller fragments, releasing a ton of energy in the process and spraying a wide area with shards and energy.

The Faera military doesn't have a lot of vehicles relative to the size of their military as a whole, and are mainly used for things that foot soldiers are not able to accomplish such as myrium based artillery strikes or ant-aircraft fire (this being very important to defend their troops from air attacks due to their air force somewhat lacking). Basically, they have the big guns. They also have transport vehicles which are packed tightly with soldiers and small tanks which are mainly good at blocking energy based attacks rather then physical ones. Larger variety of tanks do exist but are not very commonly used. Smaller speeder bike vehicles are sometimes used.

(More of an explanation for their vehicles will be given when they appear in battle)

Navy- The navy is involved with traditional water based ships and the spacecraft, although not in charge of planes fighting in atmosphere. Their navy mostly has smaller ships but are large in number to make up for this. The reason is that they have weak armor, so getting hit will only cause that ship to be destroyed rather then putting all of their eggs in one basket. Their bombers can pack a huge punch even on much larger ships with myrium missiles, so even though they're small and weak defense they have a good offense and are nimble at flying.

They do have larger ships, and these alone use up over 20% of the entire supply of tougher materials that the Faera have gotten hold of, not to mention they have myrium coated armor on top of it. These ships are very feared among those who fight them due to their main weakness of lack of defense being solved. Their capital ship, Azure Monarch, is twice as large as their next largest ship and is protecting their home world of Liorea. These larger ships aren't very common, so there is only around 1 for every 50 or so of the smaller variety.

Their ships have a common appearance of being sparkling light blue and very sleek looking, almost transparent in some areas for the smaller craft. The slowest among them with Space-Time Shift capabilities can travel at ST-2, so their fleets commonly travel at that speed unless there is a sense of urgency, in which case the faster ships group together and have the slower ones catch up later.

(More of an explanation for their ships will be given when they appear in battle)

Air Force- Their air force is the weakest of the three, often times needing assistance from the navy in order to avoid giving the enemy air superiority and destroying their troops on the ground. Their most common fighter is actually a cross between a helicopter and a plane. It has four propellers that can allow it to hover and they can be tucked inward and then jet engines propel it forward at high speeds. Four soldiers can sit on the edge of the vehicle during hover mode and shoot myrium based Gatling guns, which is powerful but leave the Faera open to attack. They don't have many bombers, but do have some transport ships.

(More of an explanation for their planes will be given when they appear in battle)

    Name- Felidae

Homeworld- Sukoyan, a planet roughly 100 thousand miles in diameter with a thin ring surrounding it. The land is fragmented islands - millions of tiny tropical islands only a few miles apart are scattered across the blue brackish ocean. The sun rarely shines through as clouds clog the skies, and rain is common. The average temperature is about 82 degrees Fahrenheit.

Planets- Iron, Iodine, Lithium, Americium, Thorium (all planets)

    Sectors Controlled- 16, 23

    Sectors Explored- 32

Behavior- War-mongers, believing the best solvent to an issue is a massive war. This has led to a small population due to constant skirmishing, and anything entering their sectors and not making it's intentions crystal-clear will be swarmed by fighters before it even has a hope of reacting. They are highly aggressive and aggravated easily.

Government-Republic: Each planet elects a group of representatives, 1 per every 800 cats. Anything below 800 is considered too tiny to even be bothered about. The representatives are sent via the fastest ships to Sukoyan where they vote on various issues. A group of "overseers" gets information on current problems and complaints, which they bring up in the counsel meetings. They are elected every 8 years, but by a "resignation petition", which must win a 75% majority, one can get one kicked out of office and have another re-elected to fit into his/her place. The same thing applies to representatives, though their elections come every 6 years.

    Military- 10/10

    Economy- 5/10

    Allies- none yet.

    Enemies- none yet.

History- The Felidae were created decades back when Earth was on the brink of an epic war that had a real chance of escalating to nuclear Armageddon. This never came about, so the Felidae were stuck with the humans, the humans were stuck with the Felidae. Then the move to Eden occurred. When this happened, every living Felidaen was packed aboard the most unwanted passenger ships with the Atlantean technology and sent out to either die or establish themselves. Obviously they established themselves. After years of hardship, they became a war-mongering Republic that has since flourished. Well, by the Felidaen standards, at least.

Appearance- They are a species of evolved big cats, ranging from lions to bobcats, that stand on their hind legs and have something between a human's hand and a cat's paw. Their organs are somewhere in between their primitive ancestors and their human creators. Their clothing is usually simple, with simple colors, such as monotone T-shirts and shorts.

Lifespan- 50 years due to war casualties. The longest-lived lived to about 100.

Biology- They are basically anthropomorphized big cats, leading to incredible vision and agility.

Language and Dialect: The cats speak American English (as the USA created them in the first place) with a purring undertone. Hard to understand unless one is used to it.

Technology: Advanced computerization and ecosystem cleaning devices combined with highly advanced medical practices lead to great health standards. This is shadowed by their spaceship industry. Their fastest ship, Miranda IV, can travel at ST 4.7 and keep the speed easily. She can clock ST 6.5 but obviously this is fatal to any beasts aboard her, so her engines rarely break a sweat. Their Space Fleet is highly advanced, ST 3.4 ships able to carry a 50 fighter/bomber squadron in their bellies give the Felidaens complete control over their entire territory. Civilian transport gains many benefits due to this, the average ship clocking in at cruise ST 4. These ships have gone past just working design, and many have exotic, streamlined designs. Completely unnecessary, but Felidaens like to make good impressions.

Military: The Felidaens have a surprisingly small military, but their technology is top-of-the-line. The Military is volunteer based, but a cat must serve at least 15 years, starting with a brutal training course that lasts for 13 weeks before he or she joins the Felidaen Army Corps. They carry small laser rifles, with 30 shot batteries. These rifles heat a single 1 inch point to tens of thousands of degrees Fahrenheit in milliseconds, with a visual laser synced with the killing laser for visual aide. A "shot" lasts 1 second, and it retains its power for about 300 yards before dissipating. This is easily increased but requires larger weapons to hold the bigger capacitors, usually reserved for heavy infantry or snipers. Their armor is plates of lightweight, bulged out metal with energy-absorbing fabric layered over the front and back, also resistant to several hundred degrees of heat. This armor typically covers their chests and some of the upper torso, whilst the rest is clothing made out of ballistic fabric capable of stopping small projectiles. Each one carries state-of-the-art radios and communication devices, held in a small module hanging off of their back packs. The attacks are elaborate and well carried out, and each cat will happily die bravely... as long as there is a pile of enemy corpses around them.

The combat space fleet is made up of carriers (mentioned before) capable of ST 3.5. They carry two-cat fighter/bombers unable to do more than ST 1, but they carry 50 of them. The carriers are bristling with defensive lasers and missile launchers. There are 6 of them. The fighter/bombers have a rapid-fire railcannon, firing a 27 MM projectile at hypersonic speeds at about 820 rounds per minute. They also carry six heavy torpedoes.

The S-13 fighter/bomber looks like this:

The carriers are all identical sisters, and look like this:

Iron's surface is white because the freshwater ocean is completely iced over, but the ice is thin and easily broken.

Looks good so far. Your race appears to be exploring downward so I'll probably be fighting you really soon. What color would you like your sectors to be shaded in on the map?

EDIT: By the way, I got side tracked so haven't gotten around to editing my race with more information. I'll do so tomorrow.

Yellow would be good, attention-catching so no one stumbles into my sectors and gets blown to bits.

I updated the image and made my race a 10 in military so they are even with yours. I mainly made them a 9 due to their weak armor, but they have a lot of other advantages so they deserve a 10.

May I upload a sector map for my sectors? It'll help navigation.

Sure thing. I'm going to bed now, so I'll be back tomorrow.

Name- L^ (Lar to anyone else)
Homeworld- L^, this is a giant silvery planet, things looking like giant webs cover it. Those webs are the L^ themselves.
Planets- Laaaaa^,Leeeee^,Lkkkkk^,Lmmmmm^,Lsssss^,Lttttt^,Lv vvvv^,Lxxxxx^ (All major checkpoints instead of planets)
    Sectors Controlled-1,2,4
Sectors Explored- Technically they have explored it all, as they have sent a ship to each area, although realistically they have not gone outside the areas which they control, until they need to expand.
Behavior- The L^ are a long lived race, they see no need for conflict, simply to grow and expand, and continue to do so. They will do anything needed as it is required, however until that need is found they will continue to remain as they are. They will find new races, teach them if possible, and watch over them. They will trade and learn from other races, and they will continue to grow and move out.
Government- No government is needed as all of the L^ are a singular being, able to divide into different sections to expand their area of control and grow.
Military- 1 (due to no interest in military affairs, although their technology could easily support a 10, were there any need)
Economy- 1 (They do not need to trade, although this might rate a 10 were they to find trading partners)
    Allies- N/A
    Enemies- N/A
History- The L^ came to sentience long ago, and have become since then grand and wise creatures. They first began to travel into space by shooting individual members or clumps and learning from the experience. Eventually they learned enough to begin building (read below on how) protective devices to carry them, and then propulsion. Within several thousand years they had managed to explore their little part of the galaxy and cover any suitable planet. Using the materials gained they continued to expand, growing and learning, building and experimenting, testing. They discovered that their bodies could be changed at a rapid pace to keep up with the strains of space, in short they could go beyond ST-5 in their physical form without any damage. They have never experienced war, or faced any serious threat in their areas of space, at the times that they had explored them. Because of this they have never had any reason to explore the realms of technology war opens up. They are defenseless against attack until they find a need to learn.

Appearance- They are little white webby strands of organic material, they combine together to form giant webs which can cover planets, interlocking and expanding until there is no more room, at which point they carry on into space.
    Lifespan- Infinite.
Biology- As individual pieces gather together they grow in complexity and adaptability. While small strands do carry the same giant mind as the rest, they can only do so much in their small form. The bigger the strand is the more quickly it can expand, and the more it is capable of doing. They can change their shape as required. They also can store any material that they consume, 'pushing' it out when needed in different ways to create any material they require.
Other- (Possibly more to be added)

Technology: They are giant strands of material that move as they expand, each part connected. They span the entire galaxy that they control, and as they move out more and more are created. They do have 'bodies' which they can go into for jobs which they can't do with their normal form, or to communicate with other races, and they have ships to carry these 'bodies' into each and every theoretical galaxy, at the most desired point to have a positive contact. Their ships are moving at incredible speeds, ST-15 with these very durable 'bodies' and collections of strands.
Military: They have no need for such technology.

More will be added as needed. In short the L^ is a giant web creature which can separate off and expand, has no real need for anything, and are trying to contact every race they can to learn more.

If this is acceptable (please ask me if you want me to change anything) I would like my sectors to be in pure white. Would it be acceptable for me to have one of the ships land in sector 32 and build a base on some rock to be found by your races?

When you are at the right place at the right time, do you have what it takes to do what needs to be done? Could you risk yourself, those that you love, or even those that you don't know? Do you think you could live with yourself if you do or do not? Think about it, one day you might just have to risk everything.

    Name- United Andaarian Kingdom
Homeworld- Andaara (An•darh•ruh) [Sector 11 Capital Planet]
    Planets-
Andaara, Fion, Mals (Sector 11 Core worlds - Fion is mainly aquatic 98% Water, 1% Land; Mals is a volcanic world; Andaara is a terrestial world dominated by sprawling supercities that lie on most of the land not covered by water. 38% Land/62% Water)
Cel, Ilium (S.11 Gas Giants - Atmospheric refineries can be found at both planets)
    Leto (Dwarf Planet in S.12)
    Krowe (Planet in S.12)

2 Outposts in S.12, 3 Outposts in S.20, 1 Space Station in S.11. They are used as merchant trading centers, naval checkpoints and rally points, and defense stations.

    Sectors Controlled- 11, 12, 20 (Red)

    Sectors Explored-
Behavior- Always seeking to expand. Can be aggressive when provoked, but you won't find them starting battles without attempting to negotiate first. They are friendly and willing to work with other races should you wish to establish trade with them.
Government- Partial Monarchy - Council. Rule by the Royal Family and an elected Council of 7 members who oversee and maintain the well being of the kingdom while performing checks and balances in order to keep both parties from gaining too much power.
    Military- Navy 10, Army 7
    Economy- 7
Allies- None yet. Open for trade negotiations
    Enemies- None yet
History- After gaining a hold of Atlantean technology, these humans managed to split away from the Milky Way galaxy and colonized Andaaria in this galaxy. The colonization went relatively well and the people flourished, thus building a network of cities and populating the rest of the planet. After one century and a half of getting situated and building an economy, Fion was then explored and researched, and then colonized with prefabricated floating cities. It wasn't long after that when Mals was colonized and then the rest were established under the Andaarian's control soon after.
    [B]Appearance- Humans
Lifespan- Average longevity is 120 years. Medical technology may be used to extend one's life if an individual wishes. Maximum of 230 years.
Biology- Enhanced physical and mental well-being thanks to medical technology.
    Other- (To be filled in.)
    Technology:
Advanced sensor technology: We can pick up an incoming contact from a sector away and even watch our neighbors if conditions are optimal for intelligience probes. Long range missiles from the Sector Defense Fleet can be used to intercept targets at long ranges.

Advanced ECM/Scramble/Distortion Systems can be used to mask their fleets in electronic radiation and throw off enemy targeting systems and incoming missiles.

Military: The Andaarians have pride in the volunteer based Royal Andaarian Navy which boasts the latest in Andaarian cutting edge technology. The Navy favors range and speed more than anything else. Missiles and beams are the preferred choice of weaponry when engaging hostile fleets. Multi-purpose fighters can be deployed from capital ships in order to support the fleet and the army.

    Capital Ships: Capable of ST-4
There are 7 Destroyers, 4 Missile Cruisers, 2 Battlecruisers, and 3 Supercarriers total.

The only classes capable of atmospheric support operations. These ships will usually dock with the larger capital ships when travelling to farther sectors and deploy when needed.

Single seat multi-role fighters: A-12 Lancer MkII
Lancers can carry a variety of missiles and be equipped with various packages in order to fulfill a broad range of roles [Space Superiority, Close Air Support, Stealth Strikes, Jamming, etc.].
All Lancers carry a six-barreled auto-cannon that fires projectile rounds at high speeds, regardless of the kit they are equipped with. The auto-cannon may be swapped with a heavier gun for Ground Support/Suppresion operations. (Like the A-10.)

Assault Transport/Gunship: These agile gunships can provide fire support and quickly transport troops to their destinations.

I'd like to be represented with red.
