    Writing made easy

Alright, let me give you some tips on how to get the most out of your rp posts and short stories... 1. An eye for detail: The one thing many people think when they look at a casual or advanced post's length is "How did they do that?!" The answer, put in detail. For example, a free roleplayer's post may look something like this: 'Tom walked down the hall'. Kind of boring isn't it? Especially if there's something really exciting going on. So describe the action! Describe how Tom feels and his condition! What state is the hall way in? The result: 'Tom's feet pounded against the bloody floor of the hallway as he ran away from the mercernaries and their guns. Bullets whizzed past him and splintered the walls. Tom howled in agony as a bullet slammed into his arm.' Now that is a post that would excite the reader!
WARNING: Don't put too much detail! Too much will make it boring. Don't write in the style of Moby Dick.

Tip 2: Breaking down writers block:
Now, everyone gets the dreaded writers block now and then. Unable to think of anything good to post is a real drag. Here's some ways of defeating it...
    1. Listen to music! Music helps get the ideas flowing like water.
    2. Write it down with pencil and paper. For some reason, using a pencil stimulates the creative side of your brain.
    3. Stop and rest. Sometimes all you need to do is just take a break. Read a book, play a game, take a nap. Give your mind a rest!

I'm a casual Rper, and my big problem is I write too fast, I can get a post up in minutes of starting it, but I always think I can do better, I want to improve but it seems that my skill stops at the front door, and ends at 2 paragraphs, got any advice for that?

2 paragraphs is good for a casual RP. If you want to write more, try advanced. I've noticed that jumping up and trying the next level is good for people who want to improve their post length/quality, especially since you tend to up your own standards to match those around you.

Also, this. A dinosaur of a post that's even older than the free/casual/advanced forum split (don't ask how I found it) but it still has some very useful information, especially for free roleplayers who want to write more.
