Shay sat up with a jolt and stared forward. The pain was slowly getting worse and worse as the minutes ticked by. Vaguely she remembered James - her fraternal twin brother - going to get her food. She gritted her teeth in pain and hunched over. This was starting to become unbearable.

"Help," She thought she spoke loudly but her voice came out as a hoarse whisper. "Help." She tried again, but same results. Why couldn't she get her voice louder? Where was James? Shay's eyes dilated. Her head was ringing with pain. She felt nauseous.
Shay's eyes began tearing. She gagged and covered her mouth as if afraid she might throw up. What the hell had they given her? Was this some sick side effect or was it being done purposely? She had zero answers and wish she had answers. "Help." Her voice was slightly louder.

A whimper escaped her and she entangled her hands in her hair. She felt sudden arms around her but she couldn't see anyone. Great now she was hallucinating. Someone whispered, "Be strong, Shay. I'm always with you every step of the way. Don't give up."

She turned around but saw nobody. More hallucinations. Still, the arms and voice had seemed familiar. Right now though she couldn't place it or cared to. Her vision began fading in and out. After a moment her vision returned. Shay's heart began racing madly. What was happening to her!? Suddenly the pain intensified and she let out a strangled, audible cry.

"SHAY!" James' arms were around her out of nowhere. This time she wasn't hallucinating. His arms were wrapped around her waist while he pulled her to him. James shhed her but the pain only became even worse. Shay started screaming and once she did, she couldn't stop. Loud, agonized screams escaped her dark red lips. They echoed and bounced off the walls continuously.

"James! Make it stop!" Shay wailed. She started crying and trembling. "My head's going to explode! Make it stop!" Shay slid onto the bench and off of it. "MAKE IT STOP! MY HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE!!" James brushed hair from her eyes and stared down at her but her vision was turning black. Shay rolled off the bench and onto the floor where she fainted.

However a minute later, Shay's snapped open. Instead of a silvery moonlit gray, they were a snow white. There were no pupils. An evil smile curved her lips.

    -

Virginia watched James and Rose. He seemed to smirk at something she couldn't see and turned to Rose. There was the look of laughter yet he wasn't showing it. He said something and carried his lunch tray. James offered to help her carry her own. He kept protectively to her side and glared at anyone giving her malicious looks. It made her proud.

James pointed, and following his hand, she noticed he was pointing to Shay. However he slowed down and stared. Hastily setting down his tray, he bolted forward like a cheetah. Kids were starting to turn and stare. Some were leaving while others seemed intent on watching. Didn't anyone see how much pain she was in?

"Shay!" He cried and tried to help her but it wasn't successful. Shay soon started screaming over and over in agony. It made her heart tear into two. She started to sniffle and tears started rolling down her cheeks. Poor Shay...

"Rose, get out of here," he said to her as he hugged Shay to him. She was unable to even hear what they were saying. "This is going to get really ugly please go."

"James! Make it stop!" Shay wailed. She started crying and trembling which only made Virginia cry evne more. "My head's going to explode! Make it stop!" Shay slid onto the bench and off of it. "MAKE IT STOP! MY HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE!!" James brushed hair out of her eyes and went to say something when she rolled off the bench. Shay fainted on the ground and became motionless.

Virginia's heart stopped. Any minute now, she thought and went to hold Victor's hand. Suddenly Shay's eyes snapped open. Instead of their usual sivlery-gray they were now snow-white. There were no pupils. Her smile was no longer kind or even mischievous: it was pure evil. Ginny inhaled and buried her head in Victor's chest. She couldn't watch this.

She studied him, not in the arrogant, belittling way an adult would, but more the curious, unknowing gaze of a child. She didn't understand what he meant at all, he seemed perfectly fine to her, if not a little agitated and jumpy, but she didn't think he was a bad guy at all. Gazing at his hands, she furrowed her brow, not understanding his words at all about change since his hands were just as distorted as hers. What a strange new friend she had made, at least she considered him her new friend.

"If you don't wanna say words in your head then don't or else your head has no more space for everyone else to talk words to you." She said, knowingly with the words of a child, but perhaps the wisdom of an adult. "You're body looks okay, but you making it weirder cause you're all angry. It's all the words in your head, maybe you should try shutting the mouth in your mind and being calm for a while?"

Gazing directly back at the boy she was confused.People were really strange to her now, she didn't understand them at all. Sometimes, she wondered if she could try to understand them by asking the voice in their head what they were saying. If only she could do that, closing her eyes she sighed almost looking like she had fallen asleep. She pretended she could open the boy's head and see what he was saying in his mind. In a way she could, but not in a way she wanted too. Not in a way she would ever understand, her eyes closed even tighter as she felt a small migraine.

Whatever she had done, the world would change for Jack at the very least melting into a washed out gloomy world. The scent of rainfall and grass would fill the air as it rained and lightening and thunder danced and sang together. They illuminated the large ruined looking mansion that was closed off by rusted metal gates and-the illusion suddenly melted away as the sounds and smell of rain died down all together. The feeling of water would disappear just as quickly like someone waking up from a vivid dream only to realize it was just a dream. Seraphine opened her eyes and stared at Jack, a smile lighting up her face. "Oh I'm sorry..I tried to peek into your head, but you peeked into my head instead...serves me right though.....mmm...what's your name again?"

Jack rowned - then gave a short snort. It made sense, in a twisted sort of way. Why bother thinking about it? Just make his mind comply, and it would do so - after all, it was HIS. His Body, his Mind, His Emotions - they were ALL His, and whether they human or not - whether they were familiar or not, he would claim them as His. He gave a chuckle, then a deep, bellowing laugh as, quite suddenly, the world shifted - smells, dirt, rain, yet muted and old and... so limited, his sight obscured by the rein yet able to see the massive massion perfectly - after all it was right there.

Then reality shifted, and he found himself staring at an embarrassed little girl explaining her actions and asking his name. Peeked... into her head? He frowned. Then, he grinned. "I'm Jack," he answered, feeling the anger burning down into embers - still there, still usable, but hardly anything noticable by now. There was something so very... amusing, about all of this. Seraphine, the scientists, the fact that he could hardly even recognize himself as human.

Then he looked down and found that, instead of a fork being in his hand, there was a small ball of shiny metal. He frowned, before the shiny ball suddenly... well, moved and flowed back into a fork. Then he grinned - he would definitely have to test that ability out.

But for now, he simply continued to eat, shifting the fork into whatever utensil he required at that exact moment, occasionally glancing up at Seraphine. Then he decided to pose his own question: "Do you have any mates - any family - back home?" It was a simple question - though it certainly wasn't a particularly socially conscious one. He didn't care; this was something he felt he had to know about her. He wasn't quite sure why, yet, but he did.

The whole cafeteria was silenced by the dark-haired girl's crying. Some kids had got up and tried to run out, knowing what was happening while others stared in confusion. Rose was one of the latter.

James had run over to comfort her, seeming to know the girl. Rose stepped toward them uneasily.
"Rose, get out of here," James said to her as he hugged the girl to him. "This is going to get really ugly please go." What did he mean by that?

Rose watched in confusion and slight fear. She had been about to listen to James when she fainted. Biting her lip, she inquired, "What's going on with her?" She watched her faint and took another step forward.

"She is becoming a twist." came a voice. A boy with auburn hair and green eyes was leaning against the wall on the side, wearing the usual ugly outfit and he wore a mischevious grin on his face. He pushed off it casually and walked into the middle of the cafeteria.
"Everyone let me just give you a heads-up: this girl here, has just underwent a terribly agonizing transformation where your mind is literally twisted and messed with until you becomes a soul-less monster of yourself: someone with no morals, no mercy, no regrets... We call them twists since they're literally twisted in the head." He explained with a grin, gesturing to the unconscious girl and somehow managing to make eye contact with every single person in the room. "This is going to happen to some of you while others it may not. Most of these transformations have been in the rooms where no one has ever seen them. In fact, you may be sitting with one right now. Twists are most dangerous when they..."His voice drew off, knowing his explanations were getting to everyone. He watched James' friend begin to stir. "Awaken."
The boy finished darkly as the girl's eyes snapped open to be pure white. An evil smile curved her lips.

Rose inhaled in shock. She found herself rooted to her spot.

"My name is Louis."said the boy, "And this is the part where you all run."
Some kids began screaming and running out as full-body suited men ran in with guns.

    ~~

Victor held Ginny's hand, his expression darkening. He was silent as he shut his eyes and refused to watch.

Shay jumped to her feet quickly as if nothing had happened. She gazed around, taking in the scene. Kids were running out, screaming. Shay giggled as if it entertaining. In fact, she watched some of them. Then she turned on her heels, black hair flying, to face the fully-body suited men with guns.

Shots rang out. Kids screamed even more which made Shay burst out laughing. It wasn't her normal, cheerful laugh - it was cruel and evil. Their fear entertained her. She loved seeing them afraid. It made her feel better. What would ultimately make her feel better is ripping these people's throats out.

Shay dodged the first bullet, evaded the second, and did a back flip to evade the next one. As she was airborne, the bullet raced past her. When Shay hit the floor, the bullet was long gone. She turned to grin at the guards who continued shooting at her. She grabbed a kid and used him as a human shield. He roared out in pain as he was hit by bullets. Tossing him over her shoulder and wiping the blood that had dripped off of him onto her, she watched the guards run at her.

Shay flipped over the table she'd just rolled off of and onto the other side. As she did so, she kicked the table at the guards. The guards yelled out as the table fell on them. Shay cackled manically which echoed. While backup came, Shay approached Rose and James, grinning devilishly.

"Hello." she greeted, her voice cold. Her white eyes seem to glow. James tried to pull Rose away but Shay slapped him across the face, sending him flying. James cried out and hit the table behind him and rolled onto the other side. He cried out in pain, his head hitting the floor harshly. Blood began trickling out of it. Shay giggled and pushed the table on top of him. This made him roar in pain. His body crumpled and he went limp.

Then, Shay turned to Rose. Before Rose could do anything, Shay grabbed her shoulders. She shoved Rose to the floor. Picking up the nearby trashcan, Shay dumped it all over her and let it fall on top of her. Shay then examined her, arms folded. "Well, that's an improvement." Shay observed. "However you still look like shit and belong in garbage." She then kicked garbage off of Rose and stomped on her stomach hard. Then she grabbed Rose's hair and began bashing her head onto the ground. Shay kicked her aside in her face and turned to find two others (Jack and Seraphina).

They were chatting away, seemingly oblivious. Shay found a full but abandoned lunch tray and walked over to them. She took the carton of milk and set it aside. She dumped the lunch tray's food onto the two. Then, taking the milk carton and opening it, she dumped it over Jack's head. "Got milk?" she asked as she threw it at Seraphina.

Turning away from them and kicked some trash out of her way, she heard the doors burst open. Doctors, scientists and more security guards ran in. Shay smiled cruelly at them and turned her back to them probably to their surprise. Scientists ran at her from behind. Shay listened to them and unfurled her wings the instant they were close enough. It knocked the initial scientists back into other on coming ones. It knocked them backwards like dominoes. Shay looked over her shoulder, closing her wings. Cackling madly, Shay ran forward and took flight. Spreading her wings out, Shay knocked numerous tables and things over.

A scientist ran at her head first. Before his needle could even touch her, Shay froze it somehow. She stared, but didn't question it. Pausing mid flight, she picked him up by his hair. She threw him at the wall Virginia and Victor were watching by. The man hit the wall and slid down it, unconscious. Then she soared at him like a bird of prey and tackled him to ground. She didn't notice Ginny or Victor right now, but she was right by them. Shay sat on the guy's chest, closing her wings. She picked him up by his hair and banged his head onto the wall repeatedly until his skull cracked. The sound of it made Shay snicker. Shay grinned and stood up, kicking him into view.

"That," began Shay, addressing everyone at last. Her eyes flickered to Louis and a grin spread over her lips. It wasn't cruel or anything, it was almost friendly. She winked at him and turned back to face her audience. "Is what happens when you try to sedate me. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen." She then eyed the scientists, doctors and security guards who were staring at her, baring weapons, sedatives, tasers and who knew what else. "Toodaloo, motherfuckers."

Shay sprinted for the exit and ran out, laughing insanely.

    -

Virginia was staring with shock and horror. She broke down crying. She'd opened her eyes to glimpse the situation. She buried her head in her hands. This wasn't happening! This couldn't be! This couldn't be Shay! Virginia felt like such a failure. How come she couldn't of stopped this? Why hadn't she protected Shay better, and Rose as well? She moaned into her hands. This was just the beginning and it was already horrible.

"Mmm...Family?...Isn't this my home here? I got no home back home except all the screaming mans and womans and everyone always wore white like this, but with more red and they never were nice like you are...they were all-" She stopped when a girl dumped her tray of food onto both of them. "Aw...I just got this cleaned and white.." Serapine said, looking down at her dirtied gown like it had only been an accident. Her wings flapped beating off any bits of food that coated her snowy white feathers. Looking up she watched the girl pour milk onto Jack, her new friend and throw the carton at her.

She caught it with ease in her clawed hand and shredded it almost accidentally, "Aw...no..no more milk..there was never any milk..." She sighed, looking at the shredded pieces of milk carton, gently rubbing what was left of it. There was a sigh of sadness and the atmosphere around her seemed to change and get a little darker. The shadows seemed to loom a little, reaching out unnaturally from where they were meant to be. A tear trickled down her face as she continued to gaze at the shredded remains of the carton ignoring everything around her.

Looking up at Jack, she showed him the shredded milk carton, "Sad...Poor little thing, had no milk...aw...the girl hurt it." She babbled seemingly meaningless words as she stared at carton. It would be funny if it didn't seem so sad about how depressed she was over the inanimate object. The shadows shifted around her growing in size and length reaching around her like comforting arms. One wiped a tear away from her eye and another gently took the milk carton from her. It then leaped into her hand and like a ball of darkness, formed a strange black shadowy mist that resembled the shape of a stuffed rabbit with one of it's ears missing and part of it's paw chewed off.

"I said wrong...this place is just like the home back with no home...there's the red again. Everything's the same, but everyone's just not so big and screaming like before and the red comes from all the ones who are in charge now...lest time it was only us...they took red from.." She babbled on, seemingly to no one, maybe to the rabbit she now hugged tightly to her chest or maybe to herself. Watching the girl shout at everyone and run off she muttured, "She said a bad word...she'll be punished.."

Jack stared, but once the food and milk was spilled on him, he found himself growling. That bitch in heat was insanely stupid, moronically retarded in her lack of ability to understand the fundamental reasoning behind social dynamics and all that was~! He paused, taking a deep breath and carefully cleaning the milk from his hair, taking note of the Retarded Woman's escape. If it was that fucking easy to escape, then it would obviously become quite easy for him to kill the lot of them. He redirected his attention to the seemingly distraught young girl before him - she had no family, no home, and so he would have her. And, from what he could grasp of her mumbling, she had come from a very bad place. A place even worse than here... or at least, so she had thought. Her fellow inmates had tortured her? And now she thought everyone here would do the same...

Jack growled, roughly grabbing Seraphine's head and directing it towards himself, he stared her in the eyes and said one thing. "We're leaving. No more White or Red, not after we leave. If you leave with me, I'll make absolutely sure of it." The words were only just barely growled, and Jack found himself leaning over the table, disregarding his surroundings, his nostrils filled with her scent as he waited for some unseen signal; he wanted submission, he realized, for her to put her trust and faith in him. His teeth were bared, and his clawed hands traced their way along her throat in pure instinct, seeming to move of their own accord.

"Can you promise me that? No fake promises okay? Promise no more red or white or everyone screaming like now. " She said staring up at Jack and hugging the shadowy bunny to her chest like a scared little kid. She already trusted Jack, despite the fact she only just met him and the only thing she knew about him was his name. She didn't seem to mind him leaning so closely, though the shadows around her recoiled a bit and formed scary snake like shapes that hissed silently at him with elongated forked tongues becoming three dimensional and rising out of the ground.

"This place isn't home if it's like the home back home...can we go to a place that is real home? I wanna go home.." She mumbled, continuing to stare up at Jake, her wings lowered , a sign of submission and of course placing her trust in him. The shadows around her seemed to dissipate becoming nothing but mere shadows again without life or real movement though the bunny did not disappear but chose to remain in her arms.

"What about the others here? Like the girl in the garbage? Didn't the scary girl hurt her too? Can she go home with us please?" She asked, finally acknowledging her surroundings and pointing at Rose and then the rest. "Can we all go home? Can you promise that Jack?..Don't tumble down the hill or Jill will get hurt too.." She said refering to a nursery rhyme.

Jack felt it, thought it, flowed with it, he could absolutely feel the scent as it mixed and changed and wafted through the air, and he released her, his hand retracting from her neck as his face settled into a lipped smile. "Of course. Anyone who wishes to be Mine... anybody that I claim as Mine, I will protect with my life, and I will treat their wishes as my own. Seraphine, little Seraphine... I Promise. Everything."

He stood up, taking a moment to close his eyes and sniff at the air. Now, he had things to do. Things to learn, plans to make, people to kill, friends to take. He grabbed all the utensils in immediate reach, taking a moment to turn them into a comb; it ran it through his hair, shaking it shortly to get the remainders of the milk out, and then crossed to the other side of the table. "Now, we need to get all that stuff off of you," he mused, carefully picking at the trash and food upon Seraphine. "After this, we can get that other girl and start working on leaving."

He felt... strangely relaxed. Normal, almost. The idea of picking up some stray girl was somewhat odd, but it was hardly any different from his apparent adoption of Seraphine herself, and she was His now, so he would make her happy. Now that he thought about it, the girl had seemed timid from his brief look. Perhaps it wouldn't be so difficult to make her on of his.

Rose was about to try to run when Shay turned to them and greeted them with a cold, villanous voice, "Hello." Her eyes really were pure white and it was like they were glowing. This was like some sort of horror movie. Shay suddenly slapped James and sent him flying.

James cried out and hit the table behind him and rolled onto the other side. He hit the floor and Rose cried out his name. Shay merely giggled and pushed the table on top of him. He roared out and his body crumpled, going as limp as dishrag.

Rose intended on running over to help him but Shay grabbed her shoulders. She shoved Rose to the floor. Rose hit the floor with a thud, pain shooting through her body. Weakly, she grimaced and began trying to push herself up when a bunch of materials fell on her. She picked a banana peel off her head. Atleast she hadn't hit her with the can.

"Well, that's an improvement." Shay said observingly.. "However you still look like shit and belong in garbage." She then kicked garbage off of Rose and stomped on her stomach hard. Rose cried out in pain. Ouch. This girl really knew how to say something mean.

Then she grabbed Rose's hair and began bashing her head onto the ground, a new wave of pain going through her with each and every hit. She moaned and trying to sit up dizzily only to be kicked in the face. She heard her nose crack a little and blood streamed out of both nostrils. Rose lay there as limply as James did for awhile, feeling dazed and too weak to get up.

Eventually, she forced herself out of sheer determination to sit up. Rose got to her feet on wobbly legs and looked around through blurry vision. She might of been moving forward but her legs felt so numb she barely recognized it. Bending down to James, she grabbed him under the arms and began to drag him toward the door.

Rose noticed the angry boy from before with another girl. (Jack and Seraphine) She approached them, "Can you help me?"She requested softly. All of the other kids in the room were dead, unconscious or gone. Most of them had ran away to their rooms in fear.

Men were running after Shay. They finally were able to get ahold of her after six people and began dragging her toward her room.
