"..Can't wait to go home.." She mumbled, helping Jack brush off the food off her clothes while another arm still hugged the shadow rabbit close to herself. Then the girl from before who had been thrown into the trash came up to them dragging the guy who the mean one had made a table fall on top of. She looked up, staring at them. The girl had sustained a bloody nose and some bruises and the guy did not look much better, but she didn't seem to understand why they were both so sad looking.

There was nothing new to her that had happened here. Someone going all loud and shouting then spilling the red out of a few people and making them go to sleep forever. Bashing heads against walls, ripping people apart like ragdolls and shredding them apart. Things that go flying everywhere and screams again. Trying to leave. It was nothing new at all, though the memories were now faint and fuzzy in her head, she could still remember the blurry figures of people pinning people down and dragging them into a room where there would be more screams and sometimes not everyone came out.

"Help?...How do we help you now? Sorry, I donno how to put red back inside or make all the sore spots disappear, but I remember once bunny told me that there's a place where people go to get fixed. An all white place...Bunny called it a hospital..and people there are suppose to be nice and take care of you.." She babbled on, hugging her bunny tightly to herself. Looking at Jack, she asked, "We can bring them there when we go home right?"

Without waiting for an answer, she turned back to the others and smiled, "Yes we can bring you both there!" She squealed excitedly, the walls of the room suddenly melting away into pure witness and the smell of medicine was strong in the air. The room felt warmer and more cosy as the surroundings shifted to a hospital room with nurses buzzing in and out looking at the group as though as they were not there at all. Then the whole thing faded away like some dream. "Is it like that there? I've been there once..I think...let's all go there."

She jumped up and took Rose by the hand, looking at the girl she smiled showing her teeth. Not knowing her own strength or the sharpness of her claws, they dug into the girl's flesh a little. "Come on, let's go there! No time to waste!"

Jack frowned, glancing at the girl - her nose is bloody, and the man she's helping is damned-near beaten to death. A short growl escaped his throat, rumbling through his body as he placed a hand upon Seraphine's head, ruffling her hair slightly. "Yeah, sure." Of course, he hardly knew much about proper first aid. After all, what little medical knowledge he hdid have was focused on nutrition, sleeping habits, and how to keep from getting sick. Still, he had a pensive frown on his face as he thought about what he did know. Broken bones need to be set, and generally a bloody nose is a broken nose. Hits to the head are extremely dangerous and if someone is knocked unconscious you should take them to a doctor immediately. Taking a deep breath, he glanced them over again. Yeah, there really wasn't anything he could do.

"Come on," he muttered, walking over to the injured pair and taking up the other side of the male. He scrunched his nose slightly, before starting to breathe through his mouth. It didn't help much, but at the very least he would get used to the overbearing smell quicker. Hopefully. Taking up most of the weight, he quickly turned his head about, looking for the nearest exit and/or guard that would, hopefully, lead to a hospital, or something similar. Then the world seemed to... change, for lack of a better word, nonexistant people with empty smells and white walls washing over everything for a moment before reverting back to reality. "Jack frowned, turning his head back to Seraphine.

"Seraphine, calm down a little," he lightly scolded. "We've gotta find out where the hospital is first." A small, toothy grin made its way onto his face - her energetic actions seemed relieving, somehow.

Shay had ran down the hallways, laughing psychotically. She had frozen people as she ran passed. Some of them she shoved to the floor so they shattered into tiny pieces. She giggled as she dodged bullets and needles. Their frustration was amusing to her. What was even more amusing was their fear. She didn't need empathy to feel it: they were completely terrified of her; to have that power made her smile. She wondered how much more fear she could install in them. Ideas ran through her mind and made her feel light inside. She grinned broadly at the thought of causing sheer terror. These fools would pay - every last one of them.

As she ran, she wondered who the auburn haired boy had been. He was interesting to her, and so she decided to keep him in mind. She definitely wouldn't think of hurting him just yet. He posed no threat. Rose and James, however and the other two, were not threats but they were prey to her. She smirked and sprinted down the corridor, her laughter echoing. She skidded to a halt and froze the corridor so it was harder to follow her and sprinted down the next one.

Arms suddenly snatched her from behind and made her snarl viciously. Shay went to use her element however powers were disabled all of a sudden. Shay felt her arms become restrained as three other people began dragging her towards her room. No. Shay started screaming insults and threats, even managing to kick some people harshly. She found a needle in a scientists' hand and kicked it. He cried out and let go of it. Before he could even try to grab it she stomped on it and broke it in half. He looked up, eyes widening and backed away quickly. There was a look of terror in his eyes. Shay started cracking up and saw she was closer to her room. Snarling, growling, screaming insults and threats, Shay tried to struggle but even more people came to help restrain her.

They finally managed to get her to room, much to her dismay. The group of twelve people - yes, she counted- , forced her onto her bed where restraints immediately came down. Her ankles, wrists and stomach were restrained but she could still pick her head up. She growled, snarled, continuing to scream insults and threats. However they slowly backed out of the room and shut the door, locking her inside and left her alone. She had no idea if those imbeciles taking notes were there or not. Right now, she didn't care. She'd get them back later on and tear up there stupid little notes. Fricken faggots, she thought angrily.

Shay growled lowly and stared up at the ceiling. They could restrain her all they wanted but Shay would avenge herself. Being restrained like this gave her the time to think and plot. Didn't those idiots realize this? Shay sighed and started calming down slightly however she was still poised to attack despite the fact she couldn't get out of the damn restraints. She sighed again and released some more anger before starting to plan and devise her act of terror and revenge.

    -

James' eyes snapped open. He moaned and lay there pathetically. He tried remembering what had happened. After a few, painful minutes, James' memory came back to him. Shay had turned into a twist and had approached Rose and himself. She had attacked them - him first. She'd slapped him hard enough to send him flying, and knocked a table onto him. James' head had been smashed and he couldn't focus or concentrate on what was happening. After his attack, he'd lost consciousness and now that he was awake, he had no idea what was going on. He could hardly see or breathe; all he felt was pain.

"Rosssseee...." He slurred, trying to say her name and see if she was okay. "Rossseeee." He felt someone pick him up under his arm and cried out in pain. He had a feeling his arm was broke from the tables' weight. All he could feel was pain. He was dizzy and light-headed, and the room spun sickeningly around him and titled, making him flee off balance. He was quite bloody too and his head felt like it was mush. James moaned and shut his eyes once more, longing to feel Roses' comforting touch. He felt like he knew her. H wanted to know more about her and see if she was okay but he couldn't function.

Then all of a sudden he felt lightness fill him and felt his wounds beginning to close. James blinked and stared around, confused. His vision began to return and he found there was a boy carrying him under his arm with another girl there. Rose was also there. The blood dripping from his head began to stop and the wound itself began to heal. He stared in confusion but he was starting to breathe normally, see correctly and hear and process what was happening.

The cafeteria was a wreck. Tables, trash cans, lunch trays and food and water were strewn around. There was a blood and trash on the floor as well. Everyone was gone except for them. James moaned once more and turned to face Rose. She had a bloody nose and was also beat up. He quickly took her hand and pulled her into a quick hug. "Rose." He whispered and unknowingly began healing her as well. "I'm so sorry." He whispered and felt tears burn his eyes. "Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I"m so, so, so sorry."

He got out from the boys' arm and managed to stand up by himself. He started trembling and felt himself begin to breathe unevenly. How could he let this happen to her? He should have tried harder to make sure he didn't get hit. James frowned slightly and unknowingly healed he even more though he felt himself draining of energy. He stared around and then let go of Rose, blushing fiercely.

"Help?...How do we help you now? Sorry, I dunno how to put red back inside or make all the sore spots disappear, but I remember once bunny told me that there's a place where people go to get fixed. An all white place...Bunny called it a hospital..and people there are suppose to be nice and take care of you.." She babbled on, hugging her bunny tightly to herself. Looking at the other boy, she asked, "We can bring them there when we go home right?"

Rose blinked. This girl was very energetic. "Oh I'm not sure if there's exactly a hospital in h-"She began but the girl turned and spoke again with a smile.

"Yes we can bring you both there!" She squealed excitedly. Rose stared in confusion as the whole room melted away into a hospital room. It instantly felt warm and cozy. Nurses buzzed around the room. She tilted her head and almost stepped forward when the whole thing disappeared. They were back in the messy cafeteria.

"Is it like that there? I've been there once..I think...let's all go there."

The girl took Rose by the hand. She smiled down at her, revealing teeth that made her shiver. She felt a sharp pain in her arm and she inhaled. Glancing over at her arm to identify the problem, she found the girl had dug her claws in her flesh. Blood dripped from the spot and she hastily looked away. "Come on, let's go there! No time to waste!"The girl was still as chipper as ever in this situation.

"Thank you but do you even know where this hospital is?"Rose inquired. It didn't matter if it was imaginary or not; James needed one. Perhaps she did too. She felt terribly weak and her head was giving her nauseating pain. Having your head bashed into the floor was no fun at all. Sticky blood still trickled from her nose and over her lips, providing a unpleasant rusty taste to her tongue. Her fair hair was sticking to her forehead and neck uncomfortably. Rose was not clear on whether it was sweat or blood doing that. She wasn't so sure if she could stand up for very long either.

"Come on," muttered the other boy. He came over and supported James' other side. Rose gave him a grateful look.
"Seraphine, calm down a little," he lightly scolded. "We've gotta find out where the hospital is first." So that was the girl's name.

"Hi Seraphine."Rose said weakly, "I'm Rose." She looked at the boy, "And what is your name?"

"Rosssseee...." Rose looked down at James. Had she heard him speak? "Rossseeee." he slurred again. She supposed that was a good sign. He didn't look so good. As nauseous as Rose felt, she was sure James felt a lot more sick. She rubbed his arm gently, "Don't worry, James. It'll be okay."

She looked more closely at him to find that like magic, his wounds were closing.
The blood stopped trickling from his head and suddenly it was almsot like this never happened.

He seemed to be taking in the surroundings before he moaned and turned to face her. The boy took her hand and pulled her into a hug. Rose usually welcomed hugs but when her body felt sore like this, it wasn't as welcomed.

"Rose." James whispered. "I'm so sorry."He whispered,"Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I"m so, so, so sorry."

"That's okay."Rose replied, "None of this was your fault. You have no reason to be sorry. " She watched him stand on his own. The pain was dimming rapidly and she felt her own vision becoming more clear. The nausea even began to fade. Rose touched her nose to find it straight. No pain came from the touch either.

She stared at James. Was he doing this? Everything was so confusing now. Everything felt like a dream and nothing made sense. Rose turned back to Seraphine and the other boy, "I think we're okay now."She said slowly.

"Aw...I really wanted to go see hospital." Seraphine whined a little, pouting before another smile broke out onto her face and she shifted nearer to Jack. She didn't know why, but she liked being next to him. He was someone she was now starting to look up to and she felt a sense of comfort when she was near him. There had never been anyone that made her feel at least a little safe before, not that she could really recall anything before her short time in this place. She watched in awe as the boy that Jack had been carrying stood up and all the blood began to go away and the wounds started to disappear as if they had never been inflicted in the first place. Something flashed in her eyes, perhaps a hint of her insanity rising, but it was gone within a moment.

She looked down at her own twisted, clawed hand noticing the red stains on her sharp nails. The smile on her face widened and she grinned at the blood from when she had squeezed Rose's hand a little too tightly. Dropping her hand to her side, she grasped onto the shadow of Rose or at least the dark shape that resembled Rose's silhouette. It half rose out of the floor to grasp her hand. Stuck in a place between a two dimensional and a three dimensional being. She gazed at Rose and James, taking in their names and faces with an almost eerie stare, but children always had the tendency to stare at strangers just so they could memorize their features.

"If we can't go to the hospital, shall we go home now?" She asked, hopefully, the shadow of Rose twisted itself, becoming a mass of darkness before it was the pitiful looking stuffed toy bunny in her hand that was darker than night and was nothing more than an illusion that felt so real. She skipped over to James and Rose again, this time to stare at them both with wide fascinated eyes, darting over where the cuts and red had spilled out. She remembered something.

"How did....James make all the red say goodbye? Do it again please!" She commanded loudly and then let out a giggle. During all of this she had not taken notice of the state of the cafeteria, after all it was only normal to her. She had seen worse places, ones where all the chairs and furniture strapped you down and made you scream loudly till you couldn't say another word for days. There were cupboards that shut you in without food or water for so long it seemed like centuries, but she just smiled to herself as her eyes gleamed over with the faint memories of her past. This time she didn't let her thoughts spill over to the rest, no need for them to know. Best to spare them now till the insanity spilled out.

Jack watched carefully, his eyes carefully flicking between the three people in his sight. The bloodied male; he seemed to display some form of healing ability. Strange, but interesting. Seraphine had displayed some kind of illusionary, or reality-altering ability. And, from what he'd seen, the Rose girl hadn't displayed any powers yet - though she probably had some kind of power. Just not immediately visible. Shifting his attention from the group, he set his hand upon Seraphine's head again, quietly combing his fingers through her hair as he scanned the room. Home, eh? First step to home was escape. First step to escape was knowing where the exits were. He took a sniff, trying to get a scent that would point outwards; after a moment, he shifted, slightly irritated. Too many smells, too many sounds, too much too much too much. He'd never be able to find a way outside like this. Instead he decided to head towards the closest door, taking a moment to look back and glance at the gathering. "C'mon. It might take a while, but I should be able to find an exit if we get near one."

Assuming they were ever allowed anywhere near one, anyway. It'd be natural to assume that they'd be detained quickly, or at the very least warded off from any possible exits. No matter. He could find a way out later, and then start making plans for how to get out. Or maybe one of the others had a way to escape. Either way, he'd mnake sure he left. In the meantime... He directed a smile towards the group, mindful of keeping his lips closed - then he waited for them to follow, so that they ould scout out the hallways as a group.

Assuming they were allowed to, of course.

After what seemed like an eternity, Shay finally calmed down. She tapped her fingers against the bed however in a steady rhythm. The noise filled the room, however and she hoped it would be menacing. It made her look like a caged tiger, ready to pounce. If it did, she hoped these people were cowering. She couldn't wait to rip their throats and hearts out.

Her eyes darted to and fro, searching for an exit but finding none. She scowled, let it fade and sighed. Soon she would be free but how? She had her plan in mind and wanted to set it in motion but she had no means of doing so. Her powers were disabled and she was restrained. Shay sighed once more and put on the most innocent act she could muster.

"Can somebody help me please?" she called. When there was no response, she waited a second, swallowed her anger and put some fake plea into her voice. "Someone? Anyone? I'm really thirsty." Still no reply or help. Shay sighed and stopped tapping her fingers against the bed. "I promise I'll be good!" she tried earnestly. Silence greeted her. Frustration filled her but she sucked in her anger and closed her eyes. Maybe if she feigned being dead they would let her out. Then again these idiots probably wanted her dead. Well fine. She wouldn't go down without a fight, despite how restricted she was right now.

To be honest, she was lonely. Being in the cafeteria had at least been comforting to know she hadn't been alone. Her thoughts turned back to the auburn haired boy, and then the hallucination, or so she thought. Had she really felt someones arms around her, and heard a voice in her ear? She felt like it hadn't been real, but something was telling her it was real.... Then again, she'd been unable to really focus on anything going on at the time so she passed it off. However it had felt familiar. Either way, it seemed like an ally and she needed one to get out of here - wherever 'here' even was.

Shay opened her eyes and found nobody had come in yet or so she could see. She sighed once more and looked up at the ceiling idly.

    -

James stared between Seraphina and Jack and then shook his head. Whatever had just happened frankly scared him. He drew Rose closer to his side protectively. He glanced at her for her opinion and raised his eyebrows. "What do you say?" he asked softly so the others couldn't hear. He turned his back and angled himself so he was completely in front of Rose. He couldn't help but feel protective over this girl. They had just met, but she seemed so familiar. He didn't want anything to happen to Rose. From the look in her eyes and the way she portrayed herself, he could tell her experiments had been harsh. He promised himself to never let it happen again. He told himself he'd do everything and anything to make sure it did not occur once more.

He looked down at her kindly and warmly. Then, hoping she wasn't afraid of him, he added, "I don't know what just happened, but it appears I have the ability to heal or something. Well, I'm happy I do - I healed you." He smirked a little, but he looked confused, mystified, even perplexed. He didn't understand anything happening either. "I'm good with any decision you make. I'll stay by your side as long as you want me to."

He glanced away quickly, scanned the room and then looked back down at her. "Besides, I doubt we can just stroll out into... wherever we are." He swallowed hard and felt a strong force of unknown hit him. He had no idea were they even were- he couldn't remember anything before the time he'd fallen asleep or unconscious. James tried harder to remember but nothing came to mind but a headache. He rubbed his head gently and looked back at her. He patiently waited for her reply.

Rose watched the girl pick up her shadow off the floor. She was still for a moment, barely hearing Seraphine. Finally she went to reach out and touch it in confusion. It suddenly turned into a stuffed bunny. Rose remembered having one as a kid and cherishing as if it were the most important thing in the world. Her bunny had been the color of cinnamon with a pink little nose. This one was dark and pitiful looking. Unsure what how to think of what just happened, she tried to push it out of her head.

"How did....James make all the red say goodbye? Do it again please!" She heard Seraphine command.

Rose looked at her, "Maybe it was magic."She said with a small smile. The girl acted extremely childish and she couldn't help but feel sympathy for her. Perhaps these scientists were to blame for her behavior. Then again, she was sure no one was acting like themselves here really.

"C'mon. It might take a while, but I should be able to find an exit if we get near one." said the other boy. He wanted them to follow him out of here. But could they really just leave? Rose didn't think so. Such a high-tech place would not make this easy.

A memory flashed through her mind. She remembered running down a flashing hallway toward a light. Rose was almost there but then suddenly the door shut and there stood a man with a syringe. She flinched at the memory.

"What do you say?" James' voice asked softly. He came to stand in front of her as if he were about to protect her from something. When he looked down at her, his expression was kind and warm. She remembered seeing it before somehow. "I don't know what just happened, but it appears I have the ability to heal or something. Well, I'm happy I do - I healed you." James added on. He seemed just as confused as Rose was. "I'm good with any decision you make. I'll stay by your side as long as you want me to."

"Uhm. I guess we can follow him but I feel like we're going to get caught."Rosaline explained to James.

"Besides, I doubt we can just stroll out into... wherever we are." That was something Rose hadn't thought about. Just where were they exactly? Were they even in America still? Were they on some isolated island where no one would ever find or hear from thm again? What happened to her family if she even had one? Rose had shut her eyes wearily when a new voice echoed through the cafeteria.

"We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. You will now be escorted back to your rooms. The cafeteria will be ready for you at dinner. It's time for the interrogation." The grumpy guy who had led her in here was speaking.

Rose opened her eyes to see armed security guards coming toward them.
    So much for staying together.

    ~~

Louis entered Shay's room and watched from the shadows for a while. He finally began approaching her with a grin. "Hey there Shay." He pulled up a chair and sat. "How do you feel? It looked like you really had some fun there."

"Hey there Shay." Came a male voice which made her crane her neck to look over. The red haired boy from before was there. Shay grinned and listened to him and watched as he pulled up a chair beside her. "How do you feel? It looked like you really had some fun there."

Shay smirked at him. "Hello," she greeted in an eerily calm but kinder voice than she used before. "I feel great. I had a lot of fun. I'd do it again, honestly." She tapped her fingers against the metal of the bed, filling the room with it. The restraints wouldn't let her move her fingers much, which irritated her even more. She craned her neck and turned slightly so she could see him better. "Say, what's your name?"

    -

"We are truly sorry for the inconvenience. You will now be escorted back to your rooms. The cafeteria will be ready for you at dinner. It's time for the interrogation." echoed a new voice. James turned around to find a grumpy man talking to them. Security guards also came in. James felt panic fill him and quickly stood next to Rosaline instead of in front. However he angled his body so he was slightly in front of her still.

"Please sir let me go with her. I want to make sure she's okay." He said hastily and gestured to Rose. "Please sir." He didn't want to leave her alone in here. Not without protection, of course. Poor Rose. He shut his eyes and reopened them to glance at Seraphine and Jack. He also didn't want to leave those two as well.

He looked at the security guards and the man. "At least let me stay with Rosaline, please." He looked pleadingly at him.

Seraphine was so confused by the voice that seemingly came out of nowhere, since everyone heard it now. Usually it was only in her head, but it seemed to be someone invisible speaking to them now. She hugged her shadow rabbit closer to her and pressed into Jack's hand liking how he combed through he tangled locks. It made her white wings flutter up as she looked around, something flashing in her eyes as she looked at the approaching guards.

A memory, a distant memory of the same thing, blurry shapes dressed in white and stained red with shackles and restraints walking up to her. It was a time when her body could still shiver, when feeling was something real to her. When she could still scream and cry out in rage and sadness, when she was still capable of fear. Now though, she simply tilted her head and stared at the guards confused wondering where the chains and strait jackets where and why they all looked so weird not dressed in the white stained garments she was used to. In fact, looking down at her own clothes, she was puzzled not to see anything on the plain cloth.

Oh, wait that was right, she had been dressed, dressed and dolled up like some sort of mannequin set up for display. A lifeless mannequin with no feeling, no warmth, no love, no nothing at all. What had they said about useless mannequins with no purpose when they were taken away? To be experimented on in some dead place where no one else knows themselves? Oh right, she whispered softly and giggled, "Die quietly please."

Unconsciously, she held onto Jack's hand and watched Rose and James talk about some thing. The fuzzy words of strolling and a game of catch or a game of sides and wanting. It was all a little confusing to her. Her eyes finally focused more on the grumpy man behind them and the oncoming guards. They were still coming even when Jack was speaking in some sort of pleading tone. She smiled, it never worked no matter how much one pleaded or begged, she learned that the hard way.

"James, James, huff of breath wasted and gone." She murmured to herself, giggling softly, then pressed a finger to her lips as if she was caught interrupting an adult's conversation. "Plead, beg and cry. Won't make a difference to who loses an eye."

She looked up at Jack, "Where are we gonna go? You promised home..now the men are here to make sure we never go home, just like that bad girl that ran off, the ones that run never make it far, right? They always get caught by the catchers and lose the game.." It was partially nonsense, but the time where she used to speak things that made sense was long gone and buried deep.
