Name: Koto Daigo
Alias: Sage of the Daigo
Birthplace: Tyrian Village of The Land of Hawks
Occupation: Tyrian Military Specialist Unit
Koto is well built for his age, being trained early to be a part of Tyrian's special forces unit. He stands at a near even 6 foot tall and weights approximately 215lbs. He wears his dark brown medium length and upward, held up by a bandanna out of his face, heavily highlighting his deep emerald green eyes, common to those of the Daigo clan. His facial hair is trimmed, though slightly ragged.
He doesn't have many distinguishing features other than a few scars across his body deriving from the intense training required by the Tyrian special forces. The only other feature is sharp looking fingers that are common among those of the Daigo clan. They are often compared to the claws of a hawk which is where their clan logo is derived from.
The Special units don't require their soldiers to wear much as long as they represent their clan logo as many of their soldiers have many different talents and requires different gear. Koto wears the emblem on his white bandanna and on the back of his large red scarf. The scarf itself is of medium length. White wraps cover his arms and hands, much like those of a martial artist might wear. His jeans and boots are made of a black leather, his boots are tied together with black straps. Under his scarf, he wears a thin black shirt that also covers also part of his head on the back and around his ears, covering the lower part of his hair completely so that with his bandanna, only the top of his head and his face shows. The innards of the shirt is made of tiny metallic chains giving him some protection from attack, though not as much as heavy armor, still allowing him quick movement.
Years of training in the Special Units core of Tyrian has left Koto almost void of feeling, though he constantly seeks connections with others causing him to not be so much void of feeling, but understands it oddly compared to others and tries to adapt. He has learned to be discerning and constantly analyzing his surroundings, often overanalyzing everything around him. Knowledge is power to him and is constantly reading and learning everything he can so that he can use it to his advantage should it become necessary. His demeanor is one of extreme discipline, often carrying out commands by his superiors without question. Regardless of this, he has a very strong connection with his clan and would likely betray anyone over those of his own clan. A common attitude instilled into those of Clan Daigo, and often why not many of his clan are let into Tyrian's Specialist Unit.
The Daigo Clan is a long standing clan in the Land of Hawks. Their Clan, being one of the original founders is where the Country's name came from, as their crest was a prominent throughout the land in the time of it's founding. Later, the Daigo clan became an oppressed clan due to their strange powers that caused fear in many other clans of the region and the Country which once heavily relied on the Daigo Clan, soon shifted leaving many of the Daigo out of political affairs and their military. They were left with meager roles and oppressed so that they wouldn't use their true capabilities.
The Clan realized this early and hid away many of their powers and scrolls away so that they wouldn't become completely wiped out. Over the years, select individuals from the clan have been chosen to wield these powers and have kept the clan alive regardless of the country's attempt at trying to completely rid themselves of the Daigo. Years later, in the only civil war of the Country, the Daigo rose briefly with outside forces to take the country from their oppressors. However, due to the weakened clan, they were again put down.
However, since then, the country of hawks have taken these select individuals from the Daigo clan who would learn their forbidden arts and put them away in their special units and forced them to work for them, often trying to drive their emotions for clan-hood out of them and sending them on the most dangerous missions and if they were lucky, the Daigo would be killed and they would be free of the Forbidden arts till the next Chosen Daigo appeared. Since then, this is how the Land of Eagles have operated, though the Chosen Daigo have played powerful roles in their wars. Though the Forbidden arts are a formidable force, the Daigo clan has many other talents that have been used by the Land of Hawks over the years.
Flight of the Hawk
Flight of the Hawk is a style of martial arts used by the Land of the Hawks, though descends from the Daigo Clan them self, making them often more lethal to Daigo who's fingernails are often heavily sharp. The Martial arts relies on quick deadly motions striking in weak points on the enemy to deal powerful blows with quick light movements and then combining those with swift movements of the body to dodge and weave their opponent and allowing them to get out of range if needed, where they rely on Kunai knives to pick at their opponent till they move back in. Focuses mostly on Close range and Long distant combat
Snake's Nest is combat training given to many in Tyrian's Specialist Unit, focusing on mid-ranged attacking using a spear as well as tracking, scouting, gathering intel, analyzing combat situations, and assassinating. They learn to control energy to their feet and hands to muffle movement to a near silence and quicken attacks to strike in vital places and kill their opponent quickly. Those who are trained in the art of Snake's Nest often lace their weaponry in a variety of poisons to kill their enemy quicker.
Art of Inscription
Art of Inscription is simply the training in using scrolls and other magical objects that normally people would not be able to use. Unlike other training, the Art of Inscription is often forbidden to Daigo and Koto is one of the few to be able to learn it.
Spear of the Snake
The Spear of the Snake is a long pole made of a dense wood that is comparable in durability to a metal sword. It's body, unlike a normal pole motions back in forth like a wave, or better described as a slithering snake, able to catch attacks in it's curve. This makes it hard for those not trained to use the weapon, to use it. The end of the pole is similar to a snake's head in appearance, with a arrow like blade protruding from it's mouth. The Blade is laced in poisons that causes muscle and bone deterioration should it linger in the body, as well as causing the infected to become severely sick, resulting in vomiting and loss of eye sight. It can eventually lead to death, if left untreated.
Scrolls of the Argent
These scrolls have been made into the wraps that are used around Koto's arms. The Scrolls are said to unleash a Daigo's forbidden art, but they also act as a seal. Unwrapping each fold allows for more of the forbidden art. When the wraps are completely removed, the Daigo's power is at it's max allowing them to use all their abilities. However, using the full extent of his abilities for over 5 minutes or 10 post (Whichever comes first) begins to heavily drain his energy. The scrolls themselves, also act like weapons, when hanging from the Daigo's arms, they become extremely durable, and they pierce like a blade, becoming longer as the user releases more folds. They can also combine at the points or intersections, once long enough (3 Folds), to create web like patterns, or a jump rope like blade. Only One fold can be released in a turn up to Fold 5, then only one fold can be released per 2 turns at 6+ folds.
Extra equipment includes various poisons and antidotes.
Daigo Forbidden Arts - Folds
Folds are when portions of the Scroll are released and the wraps around Koto's wrist is slowly undone, for a total of 9 folds till, finally coming off on the tenth fold. Non-Combat: While not in combat, heavy concentrations and meditation allows him to tap into Fold powers without unwrapping them. However, the maximum his concentration allows is Fold Six. This requires the Daigo to stand completely still for a few moments in order to tap into the power and activate it.
By releasing one fold of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of the Mind. The Scroll of the Mind gives the Daigo increased mental Prowess, capable of analyzing situations in matters of brief glimpses.
By releasing two folds of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of the Body. The Daigo has the ability to control one's own body, shifting bones and even able to use them as weapons. They can move their organs around and place them in different areas. They also become capable of increasing or decreasing one mass of their body at a time
By releasing three folds of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of the Heart. This is also known as the scrolls of Energy. The user becomes one with his own energy, being able to extend it outside his own body into various types of attacks and molds.
By releasing four folds of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of the Soul. The Daigo has the ability to control one's own soul. The Daigo is able to leave it's own body for a short period of time and walk around completely undetected. Attacking or heavily interacting with anything will send the soul back into the body. This also gives the Daigo the ability to hit ghost and spirits or anything that might be incorporeal.
By releasing five folds of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of the Shadow. The Daigo has the ability to control one's own shadow. They are able to become one with their shadow and manipulate it at will.
NOTE: This is the fifth and final Fold of what is known as the 'Earthly' Scrolls. The remaining folds are those of Divine, Demonic, or Purgatorial powers.
By releasing six folds of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of Nature. One of two Divine Scrolls. The Scroll of Nature allows the Diago to control the forces of nature that are present. These have to be natural elements, and not those being controlled directly by another being. The Scrolls of Nature do not create these elements, only control them. Using this scroll inflicts Divine Condemnation Tier 1 on the user. While in Fold 6 alone, the user cannot hide. A bright light shines down and constantly reveals the user. (Being in a shadow does not work while in this stage. Closed in places do not show the light shining down, but the Diago using it will glow with a bright light instead.)
By releasing seven folds of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of Wrath. One of two Demonic Scrolls. The Scroll of Wrath gives the power the user the ability to wield the flames of an eternal hell. The user can shoot balls of black flame that do not go out by normal means. These however are slow and relatively easy to dodge in long range situations, making them more useful in close combat. They do not effect undead and Demonic creatures. Balance has been struck and you no longer will glow with a bright light of Divine Condemnation. However, Wrath has taken over and the wielder feels a Demonic presence in their body causing the user to feel as if they were burning. Being in this stage longer than 2 post will cause the user to fall unconscious and thus lose the fight.
By releasing eight folds of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of the Beast. This is one of two Demonic scrolls. You're soul has dropped from the highest of Divinity to the lowest gates of hell. You can use your wraps to control the Beast. A Giant sized monster erupting from the ground. It's skin is extremely thick, while it's breath spells disaster for any who get in the way of it's black flames. For appearance reference, please use this
. The beast's actual size is approximately 30 feet tall and 1100lbs.
By releasing nine folds of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of the Peace. This is one of two Divine scrolls. After wrath, the Daigo has found peace. You will no longer be able to use the black flames and any black flame present is extinguished. You have reached a Divine peak and your divinity now wishes to cleanse you. You have 2 turns to make another fold or your soul will be cleansed, and your body left behind. You will Die.
By releasing ten folds of the Scrolls of Argent, a Daigo has unsealed the Scrolls of the Balance. Also known as the Scrolls of the Seal. This is the scroll of Purgatory. This is the Final release, releasing your body of the wraps and sending the beast back into it's hole. At fold ten, you are able to use any of the abilities of any fold and your body only recognizes balance. You have gained the ability to absorb and seal up to magical type attacks in the remainders of your scrolls, though they become weak to melee. In this state, your body is incredibly sensitive. Any attack, hitting your flesh, does double the damage.
Daigo Forbidden Arts - Combination
Tier 1: By combining the Mind and Body arts, a Daigo is able to create the Hawk Eye effect. This gives the user the ability to see things not normally able to be seen. Quick movements and Distance hardly becomes an obstacle for those using the Hawk Eye.
Tier 2: By Combining the Mind, Body, and Heart arts, a Diago is able to create an even greater Hawk Eye effect. This gives the user the additional ability to see traces of energy.
Tier 3: By combining the Mind, Body, Heart, and Soul arts, a Diago is able to create an even greater Hawk Eye effect. This gives the user additional ability to see into the spirit world, detecting spirits and ghost that may be wandering around.
Tier 4: By Combining the Mind, Body, Heart, Soul, and Shadow arts, a Diago is able to create the Ultimate Hawk Eye effect. Like shadows, their eyes can breach even the corners of the darkness places, able to see anything in their vicinity.
By Unleashing the arts of Mind, Body, Heart, Soul, and Shadow, a Diago has perfect control over their entire existence. They can not be manipulated, effected by mind-control like effects, or be shifted into a different plane of existence.
By combining the arts of Mind and Heart, a Diago is able to release an aura of energy around them that can be used to create shields at any angle. These shields are only effective against melee attacks, as the aura is vulnerable to magic based attacks.
By combining Heart and Shadow, the user is able to use their shadow to grab or attack others, though takes a heavy amount of concentration. When combined with Spirit as well, they are able to do the same to creatures that may be incorporeal.
By combining Mind, Body, Heart, Soul, and Shadow, a Diago can create up to 4 other clones of their self. Each of these clones only have approximately 10% of the energy that the original has.
