"...and the Original Ones created the Three Realms; Paradiso which was gifted to the High Gods, Terra which was tribute to the Great Beasts and the Primals, and Inferno which played host to the Prisoner."
~ The Rasanngrad
As the Gods would command it, you, an Angel in the Host of Heaven, have proven yourself to be the most Holy in your Garrison, and thus have been called upon as a Knight to serve the will of the High Ones and Paradiso and Prophecy. Your task is to find a way into Inferno, so military invasion can begin.
Synopsis: You are an Angel in Paradiso, one of the three Physical Realms. Paradiso is ruled by the Host of Heaven which is the collective community of Angels. The Host is highly militarized and hierarchical and devoted to military conquest into the other two lower realms, Terra and Inferno. It is the year 115 A.D and the Angels are merely in their infancy, the military itself only managing to claim the fringes of Terra.
You are also the finest warrior within your Garrison and you have been ordered to join the first expedition into Inferno, the mythical prison of fire and sulfur. Your team will be as follows:
The Disciple: The Leader of the Expedition.
Three Kings: Three Knights to be the bulk of the defenses.
The Cartographer: Knight meant to map the expedition.
The Writer: Female Knight meant to pen down the journey.
Her Favorite: Female Healer. Her Favorite is simply a common nickname, indicating that the Goddess of Healing, Lyrisa, favors this angel with a blessing of her power.
The Prisoner: The captured Terran Guide who will be played by the GM.
Paradiso is full of mountainous terrain, large valleys and rivers, and frozen tundras. The cold snowy land is ironically named, it being a harsh deadly habitat full of many perils. Most of these perils are just wild monsters, but there are various factions of angels who have incited Rebellion against the Host. Any Angel that has rebelled is considered one of the Fallen, at least in the eyes of the Host. The Fallen diversify themselves among their own. There are only a few major cities in Paradiso, but the Capital of Paradiso is Rome.
Host of Heaven:
Despite living where they do, the Angels have made quite a tenable living in Paradiso, due to the efforts of the Host of Heaven. The Host is everything from country to civilian life, to military conquest, and even religion. The Hierarchy of the Host equates to ranking within the Military. At the top of the hierarchical pyramid are the six Archangels which have their own Noble House. Their family lines stem long, and every Angel within the Nobility are the Seraphs. The Houses of Heaven are known by wing color and sigil.
House Raven: Black Wings, Raven Sigil
House Cardinal: Red Wings, Cardinal Sigil
House Winter: Dark Blue Wings, White Wolf Sigil
House Lords: Golden Wings, Crown Sigil
House Warlock: Auburn Wings, Black Hand Sigil
House Hawk: Brown Wings, Hawk Sigil
The Angels are the citizens and indigenous humanoid race that call Paradiso their home. They have large bird-like wings and superhuman strength. They are broken up into two subcategories: the Deamons, and the Seraphs.
Seraphs are the relatives of any ArchAngel and are thus Nobility. There are few Seraphs within the Host of Heaven (comparatively speaking), and all must have their wings artificially colored to match their house’s colors. Seraphs are normally expected to engage in military or religious affairs.
Deamons are the common White Winged Angels who are normally subservient to one of the six Houses. Most Deamon families pledge fealty to a House, and most able bodied sons join the military, while most women are expected to join the Clergy of the Host.
Garrison and Military:
Within the Military of the Host are the several subunits which are called Garrisons. Garrisons normally consist of about 20-30 angels and the Garrisons have a Hierarchy of their own. Only Male angels are allowed to join the Military and are pledged to different Garrisons, with the exception of a few female Angels which possess the enigmatic and rare Magic in the form of being able to knit back flesh with Healing Magic. The infantry within the Garrisons are Knights and Squires, and the leader of a Garrison is a Disciple. Within a Garrison it is up to the Disciple to choose who gets special privilege or more authority over the other Knights. Squires are simply pledged to serve different Knights before they can attain Knight-hood.
Game Play Elements:
Think Medieval times. Magic is scarce, and none of your characters will possess it unless they are a female Knight (which they will possess healing Magic). Also, this roleplay will be darker than most, and remember that your characters are all born into a harsh, almost inhospitable environment where monster and Fallen attacks are frequent if you don’t live in the cities. So likelihood is, is that your characters will be some sort of tough.
1. No Godmodding. I consider this offense extreme. Obtain permission from another player if you feel the need to control their characters.
2. The GM and the CO-GM have the exclusive rights to this roleplay. If you don't like what's going on, leave the game. I'll make sure a magical boulder finds your character
3. Respect your fellow players in OOC. Disputes may occur, or arguments, but take them to PM's if you're really that passionate about it. Violating this rule results in immediate booting.
4. Only one Character per person.
5. A minimum of 3 meaty paragraphs is required for MOST of your posts. I will make allowances for a few shitty posts, because, well, I know how it is. THIS GAME IS HIGH CASUAL-LOW ADVANCED
6. Be dedicated. Don't play if you don't have time. If something comes up, let me know via PM.
7. Have fun.
CS:Everything in Red is required in your CS. Also, your CS must be submitted to me via PM. I DO NOT WANT THEM POSTED HERE. Also, feel free to stray from the CS format, and take whatever liberties you want, just make sure to include the required information. So spruce it up, make it creative. Whatever. Oh yea. And the CS is also kind of your application to the RP.
Role: These are the positions in the party. These either come at a first come first serve basis, or the players can talk about it among themselves in the OOC.
Appearance: Description or Picture.
Angel: Deamon or Seraph?
House: If Seraph. (This will not give anyone specific advantages besides having a more luxurious upbringing. It won't have any relative meaning to the plot.)
Commendations: Anything that made you particularly worthy among your peers in your Garrison.
Specialization: What weapon or fighting style are you most capable with?
Secondary: What else can you do?
Sample Post: This effectively determines whether I think your writing skills are suited for the RP.
