RULES

1. Do not post on this thread except to post your character sheet and do not post your sheet until it has been approved. If you already have a post in this thread then edit any new characters into it. No player should have more than one post in this thread.
2. Go to the OOC thread to get your char sheet approved before posting or editing. To speed things up make sure to get your powers and anything unusual approved before you type out the whole sheet.
3. Be sure to edit your post on a regular basis to keep it updated. When you update, let me know so I can update the first post. The first post contains the master list with all active characters for all active players.
4. No stealing from other media. All material must be kept at least a little bit original. or, in other words, don't put stuff we could get sued for if we put it in our comic. Change the names and don't directly copy things.
5. No magic. This includes runes, curses, chants, etc or unrealistic powers. All things must be explainable by what I like to call "supernormal physics" if you have questions about what this means feel free to ask me on the OoC thread and read the Powers and Technology list.

Law Enforcement

Group Name: Department of Supernormal Enforcement AKA the DSE

Purpose: The DSE serves to utilize select supernormal agents for various purposes protecting America, her interests, and her people. The DSE is also in charge of the supernormal registry and keeping its contents secret. If you're not officially registered they still keep a file of what powers people have or are suspected to have as well as their identities and suspected identities.

Reputation: The DSE has had a proud history of its agents serving the country. The DSE has a select few, highly edited copies of mission reports available for public viewing, but the majority are classified in various levels of secrecy and security. Suffice it to say, the edited files do provide more than enough hope for the American people in terms of the DSE being a competent service. They are known by the black-tie suits that are the signature of many American federal institutions.

Foundation: The precursor to the DSE was founded in WWII, but the group came to fruition during the Cold War as a counter to possible Soviet counterparts. It's official public founding occurred in the late 80s when the Cold War ended.

Group Size: This group is as large as any other defense department of the United States Government.

Group History: All previous operations of the DSE are currently confidential. It was first established as a covert government agency during the cold war. When the cold war ended in the late 80s it was brought full scale into the public eye, at least in terms of image, so as to help calm the public over supernormal attacks and crime. Inter-Departmental reports indicate that a noticeable portion of agents weren't happy with this decision, but what is to come of this is still unknown.

Group Location(s): The DSE has various locations for its departments. It's primary, public headquarters was recently installed in the New York City area, but it's main HQ is in an undisclosed, underground location. This is where the only hard copy of the Registry is kept.

Legal Status: The DSE is a fully sanctioned and US government-funded organization.

Group Name: Ministry of the Extraordinary AKA The Ministry

Purpose: To investigate extraordinary events and persons and to lend aid and provide enforcement where extraordinary measures are needed.

Reputation: The Ministry is known for it's eclectic membership and frankly bizarre way of doing things. The general public have confidence in them but tend to be a bit wary of them at the same time. It's members are required to dress nicely but they do not have a uniform.

Foundation: The Ministry was formed in 1846 as several groups investigating the extraordinary were officially ordained by the crown.

Group Size: The Ministry's current size holds steady at around 1200 civil servants. 300 desk officials and around 900 operatives.

Group History: The Ministry was created in 1846 to investigate and ratify rumors of extraordinary occurrences as they pertained to the potato famine in Ireland. since that time they became an official if minor part of the government. They cooperate with the military to supply the country with it's extraordinary soldiers. After the first world war they enacted several programs to create and train extraordinary persons. During the cold war their official number was at it's lowest since their foundation but secretly they had swelled in number to accommodate spies, informants, and various other secretive operations. Currently they are charged with the care of extraordinary persons and events in the British Isles and her protectorates.

Group Location: The primary offices of the Ministry are located in London.

Legal Status: The Ministry is authorized by the crown to act on behalf of the United Kingdom.

Other: The Ministry has the highest percentage of Extraordinary persons in its employ of any official government organization. (Even the DSE.)

Businesses

Group Name: Advanced Medical Incorporated AKA A.M.I.

Purpose: The development of new, innovative medical technologies. They focus mainly on prosthesis and nanite technologies.

Reputation: A.M.I. has shown that it is willing to supply it's technologies to medical facilities for modest prices.

Foundation: Early 2004

Group Size: Employed personnel number somewhere over 800 people.

Group History: A.M.I. was created for Aurelia by the Collective, and has since maintained secret ties to the machine organization. Officially the company was created by her rich eccentric father who is actually kinjii disguised as an old man.

Group Location(s): Based in London.

Legal Status: A legitimate London-based company. All of their medical creations are fully certified, eventually.

Other: Aurelia is the acting RD and CEO of the company.

Group Name: The New York Special Collections Network AKA NYSCN

Purpose: They take and execute various contracts, ranging from delivering packages to obtaining packages to protecting individuals to eliminating individuals.

Reputation: There’s always someone willing to take whatever job the group is given and generally the ones that aren’t any good at it end up getting killed off rather quickly.

Foundation: It wasn’t so much founded as it came together at around the mid nineteenth century.

Group Size: Around a thousand, special servicers included.

Group History: It started small, of course, but since many people saw the benefit in sharing contacts and special services, it grew pretty quickly, up to the point where freelancers basically stand no real chance.

Group Location(s): New York, New York

Legal Status: Shady, mostly, although some cops know how to use the Network to obtain information.

Other: The different agents themselves usually do not care for one another that much, and if one of them is threatened or killed, then it was most likely their own fault anyway. If someone so much as touches a special servicer, however, the group will unite to take down whoever did so.

Group Name: Lightblood Academy for the Extraordinary AKA Lightblood Academy


Purpose: Lightblood Academy is a school (Primary and Secondary) for the extraordinary and for the rich.

Reputation: It is known as the most prestigious private school in England and possibly the world. It is also a primary source of recruits for the Ministry.

Foundation: The school had its first classes in the fall of 1955.

Group Size: Student capacity is about eight thousand students at once with about five-hundred graduates per year.

Group History: After the massive amount of new extraordinaires born of the breeding programs enacted in WWI and WWII the school was founded as a way of training the new generation. Over time they began to be known as the extraordinary school of choice.

Group Location(s): The school is a large building in London. It includes gated grounds with trees and such even though it's within the city limits.

Legal Status: The school is an officially sanctioned private school for primary and secondary education.

Other: The School is heavily defended. It has a dimensional stabilization generator capable of keeping ætherkinetics, phantasmokinetics and all but the most powerful of tunneling portals out of the grounds. The walls and the air above the school are reinforced with kinetic barriers (making the sky a slightly darker blue) sufficient to withstand bombs. Additionally they have contracts with the ministry to keep a defense presence on the school grounds.

Group Name: the League of Masks Aka the League or The Masks

Purpose: Providing Aid and Protection to those in need. They receive grateful donations from those they help sometimes. Mostly they are bankrolled by larger donors who wish to remain anonymous even to other league members.

Reputation: Known to be vigilantes operating outside of the law but aiding their fellow men (sometimes for a price). However the law has yet to successfully take them down and honestly isn't trying THAT hard.

Foundation: The League of Masks was founded in 1992 by a small group of supernormals who wanted to act out but refused to have themselves registered and turned into government pawns.

Group Size: The League of Masks is now an underground international collection of vigilantes world wide with a member total in the low thousands.

Group History: The registration laws put an end to the superhero trend that had been going on since the end of World War II. The Masks, as they were known, went underground and eventually managed to put together a network so they could help each-other out. Most of what they do is secret but it's fairly well known that non-league masks don't last long.

Group Location(s): The Group was founded in America but is now a worldwide organization. They tend to be in every country with a registration policy.

Legal Status: Illegal, very much operating in the grey (and often black) areas of the law and without the authority of the government.

Other: Because many of the members of this organization are themselves policemen and lawyers and such they have managed to get away with more than you might normally expect. However their position is constantly precarious. They have to be constantly on the look out for clients and new members being potential undercover agents.

Group Name: Collective Military Division

Purpose: Protection and advancement of Collective goals through any means deemed necessary.

Reputation: They operate in the background, and rarely allow themselves to be seen, though their actions are growing more and more bold as of late.

Foundation: November, 1981

Group Size: Unknown

Group History: Literally Created by Kinjii after researching and designing his own A.I.s

Group Location(s): Due to the invasive nature of their operations, they have their units hidden everywhere, though the main concentration of forces exists in the group's orbital facilities and the planetary system they occupy near Earth's own system.

Legal Status: From one point of view; a heavily armed Criminal Organization. From another point of view: an independent nation of sentient machines who deserve equal rights to humans.

Other: There is no human presence within this group, excluding Kinjii, the leader and only ex-human in the group.

Group Name: Collective Protection Division

Purpose: To free and protect "enslaved" A.I.s and other sentient synthetic organisms from unfit adopters that treat them as servants or mindless workers.

Reputation: The non-military side of the Collective, they act independently of their human creators, and receive shelter, supplies and an almost excessive level of protection from their allies in the Collective military forces, so long as they refrain from drawing too much negative attention to their Colony by committing crimes or making a total nuisance of themselves.

Foundation: 8 September, 2003

Group Size: Estimated to be well above two hundred "readopted" A.I.s strong, there are human workers numbering in the thousands, though few, if any, know the truth about who they work for.

Group History: The group has apparently been able to stand in the foreground without revealing it's origins.

Group Location(s): Usually concentrated into civilian buildings controlled by the Collective

Legal Status: Illegal due to their rescuers' refusal to do any sort of paperwork surrounding the "readoption" of abused A.I.s.

Other: Most members are provided shelter and supplies in groups the Collective refers to as "Colonies". these colonies are usually set up in large residential buildings like Apartment complexes, or hotels, in middle- to high-class areas. the A.I.s protected by the Agency are nurtured until they can find a place of their own in society.

Group Name: The Geran Group

Purpose: Crime. Specifically, theft and occasionally murder (the latter was mostly Evie)

Reputation: Murder (Evie again.) and several heists

Foundation: in a minor form for as long as the family has been around, it's only within the recent generation that it became an organization (lets just say, 14 Feb. 1985 for now)

Group Size: Not very big. Around 28 people.

Group History: Several heists of major banks and museums... and murder. (guess who?)

The group was temporarily disbanded when Sean and Vivian were captured during a failed bank heist (because of Evie), but have since escaped during a jail break and have been secretly rebuilding their organization.

Group Location(s): England. specifically an abandoned warehouse

Legal Status: Highly wanted. Evie and Mia are no longer considered a part of the group for separate reasons (Mia is under ministry protection and Evie has struck out on her own).

Other: I don't really have much intention with this group except when needed. All i really care about is the two player characters from it.

Name: Ezekiel Masters

Nickname: HardeWare

Power/Skills/Training:
Super-intelligence: Parallel, meaning that HardeWare has multiple thought processes at once, this can range from around 70 when idle (as idle as a person can be) up to a maximum of 300 although this is extremely draining on both the physical and the mental aspects of the brain. An unexpected side effect of this very high rate of thoughts is that HardeWare’s mind cannot be read by telepaths as the jumble of both complex information and completely mundane thoughts is overwhelming even to the most trained of telepaths.
A further aspect of why HardeWare is so proficient in his chosen fields is that he can run simulations of mechanics or designs in his head rather than having then having to build and run whatever invention; this allows him to build and work with complex designs and have them work first time, of course this isn’t a flawless process and HardeWare can only run these simulations if he has a working knowledge of all the science related to the object in question.

Microkinesis: The ability to move small objects with great precision.

Machine speak: The ability to interface with quantum computers without the need for any medium, due to the nature in which HardeWare thinks he can interact with Q-puters with great speed and mostly without conscious effort.

Intuitive abilities: Engineering, Quantum mechanics, Physics, AI and robotics. HardeWare also grasps new concepts with ease and can familiarize himself with them in a fraction of the time.

HardeWare has the following Degrees from Lightblood academy.

Military Grade medical nano-bots.
Symbiotic model- In bloodstream housing. Limited self replicating capabilities to maintain population (Note: Dietary supplements needed for building material). Equipped to repair damaged tissue, maintain optimum blood flow, seal wounds, counteract prosthesis rejection, counteract toxins and optimise bodily functions.
Software included- Machine speak package, nervous interface v9.3, prosthesis rejection package, Spec-ops suite v5.5.

Appearance: height: 182 cm, weight: 76kg without weapons/armour, ultra thin build, Pale skin, platinum blonde hair, Neon green eyes.
Has a full arm and shoulder prosthetic arm replacement due to a cataclysmic portal failure on one early design, he has since been more careful when considering power supplies.

History: HardeWare was born in 1987 to a family of super scientists both expected their child to be smart, but HardeWare was something else; he was taking apart appliances and putting them back together since before he could talk.
HardeWare was enrolled into Lightblood academy as it was probably the only school that could contain him and remained there through the entirety of his education. When HardeWare learnt to read he would switch in between reading books on quantum physics and messing around with any technology he could get his hands on, it was also in his earlier years at Lightblood that he was found to have machine speak (which at the time was a power that only recently had been found to have a use outside of simply sensing quantum states.), this was discovered after his family took him to exhibit showing off the new technology of Q-puters.
At the age of twelve Ezekiel was at the Degree level of education and found himself roommates with a man called Peter Vanderheijden who was studying Business and Psychology; Peter turned out to be a very good influence over HardeWare, he kept his roommate focused and assisted him with his notes keeping and thesis writing and in return HardeWare provided Peter with any tech based assistance he needed no questions asked.

HardeWare became very well known to the scientific community after he cracked a problem that had kept other scientists very busy after Stephen Hawking had originally proposed the idea, stable spatial folds, after this he sold his research to transport companies and assisted with the installation. Using the money gained from this endeavor he proposed his old college roommate Peter with the idea to set up a tech company, and so they did.
HardeWare Systems was founded and with their first military contract they bought a sizable building to conduct their business in and also to house a very large static super Q-puter AI named HEIDI to help HardeWare with some of the more complex of tasks.

After a couple years of operation the HardeWare systems brand has become a household name and has a chain of stores across the UK to distribute gear specialised to superheroes with a store set to open up in New York fairly soon. HWSys also has multiple military contracts and revenue from research done in HW’s free time.

Legal Name: Michael Price

Nickname(s): The Amalgam, A-man

Power/Skills/Training: Feline Transgenic Hybrid (Second gen) granting him excellent eyesight (including nightvision), reflexes, balances and a prehensile tail. Psychokinetic Mimicry coupled with Psychometabolism and a Complex Training Regimine allowing him to develop persistent skill with specific PK abilities. (Currently he has skill with Ætherkinesis, Macrokinesis and Metallokinesis, allowing him to call forth these abilities at will.) Nerve-connected cybernetics (No Q-puters) for all four limbs. These are able to be replaced with several minutes work.

Equipment: Both legs replaced with high performance, fully armoured prosthesis powered by nano-capacitors and an HD-cell slot for quick recharge or high energy movements. Both legs contain retractile high power burst repulsion focusers capable of mid-air course correction. His arms are virtually identical to his legs only his left arm contains a rectractile grenade launcher tube with a single flash-bang and his right arm contains a rectractile pistol with a 4 round short magazine capable of being replaced with full sized mags when extended. All four limbs are tipped with retractile diamond claw blades. Under his clothes he keeps racks of alternate ammo such a AP mags, HP mags, Flashbangs, Smokebombs, Teargas, spare HD-cells, etc. He has an electro-katana strapped to his back and and a pair of vibro-daggers in his belt. He wears a pair of streamlined infrared goggles with the sensors on the sides so that the lenses can work like regular lenses when not in use. He owns a motorcycle (A speed bike not a heavy bike.) which he uses as his main mode of transportation and to store additional ammunition.

Appearance: The Amalgam gets his name not only from his conglomeration of abilities but also his appearance. He is both a Feline Transgenic Hybrid with cybernetic limbs who goes around in martial arts wear. He has the ears going on as well as the tail and the slitted eyes. His martial arts clothes are short in order to show off his cybernetic limbs.

History:

Michael Price was born to Jane Price and Simon Langsley. Jane Price worked as a live in housekeeper for Simon Langsley; a wealthy man who was known to be something of a recluse. Langsley had a tendency to sleep with many of his housekeepers but Jane was one of his favourites due to her hybrid nature, for a time. When she became pregnant he found himself repulsed by her and started throwing tantrums whenever she was near. Heartbroken she left his household and went to raise his child on her own. Simon, being the selfish bastard he was, went back to his regular ways without a single regret.

When he was a bit older, and started developing some of his father's powers, Jane told her son a bit about his father. They had been quite poor for years and Michael was surprised to find that his father had so much money and yet they had nothing. Michael insisted on taking his mother to see his estranged father. Not only were they rejected but they both found themselves bodily removed from the premises. Michael swore from then on to keep his abilities secret and train in private until he could take on his father and get what he felt he deserved.

Every day he would walk the city and borrow powers from people, holding them in his head till he got to a private place to practice. He soon found that the more often he carried a power in his mind away from it's host the better he came to know it. He became quite skilled with certain powers. He soon felt he was ready and went to confront his father. Breaking in was easy, finding his father was even easier, defeating the man proved to be something of an issue. Simon Langsley thoroughly trounced Michael Price with his superior command of Psychokinetic mimicry. The battle was incredibly one-sided. Afterward Simon nursed his son back to health, much to Michael's surprise. Once he was healthy enough to walk again he told him to get the hell out of his house and not to come back until he could put up a decent fight.

Michael swore to train even harder. He was amazed at the raw power his father could bring forth even without the physical prowess that Michael possessed. Then he came to a shocking realization. It was his physical skills that were holding him back. All the jumping around he did to try to avoid his father's attacks while bringing attacks of his own had drained his energy too quickly. There was only one solution. He needed to remove the drain on his energy. He began using his psychometabolism to deny nutrition to his extremities. All four of his limbs became thinner and more emaciated as he trained his psychokinetic powers to be stronger and stronger. Soon he was barely able to walk and had to get around in a wheelchair whenever he wasn't using powers that allowed him to fly.

When he next fought his father he was a mere skeleton of his former self. His father was getting on in years but barely looked older than the day Simon was conceived. He was a master of his art. The battle was fierce and the conclusion was close but in the end Simon fell to exhaustion and Michael could barely move himself. His gambit had worked but it had cost him a lot. His sluggish movements had cost him three of his limbs. He had but a leg and his tail remaining; barely enough to crawl back into his wheelchair. He managed to raid his father's safe before he left and escaped with just under ten million pounds sterling. He found a discrete doctor and got his missing limbs and what remained of his leg replaced with prosthetic limbs that were indistinguishable from how he looked in his physical prime. His habit of secrecy was ingrained in him now and he would not share the secret of his power at any cost.

Over the years he began to hone his prowess in martial arts once more. Now that his limbs had their own independent power sources they were no longer the drain they once were. He became obsessed with the Japanese martial arts and began to train his physical prowess almost exclusively in those areas. The money he got from his dead father would be enough to last him a lifetime if he used it carefully but just to be safe he began to make careful investments to increase his wealth. All the while still training his mind and his body and his supernormal abilities. It wasn't long before he incorporated firearms and explosives into his repertoire as well. He wouldn't allow anyone to be more powerful than him ever again.

At this point he had created Amalgam identity for his going out and about to separate it from his home life. He even joined the league of masks to help those who weren't strong enough to help themselves. He wore goggles over his eyes and had a fake goatee and ponytail to further conceal his identity. He even had a second set of limbs crafted that were obviously metal rather than disguised as flesh. He upgraded his limbs many times over to deal with his conglomeration of fighting styles. Eventually he settled on a fully armored pair with firearms concealed inside of the arms and jump-jets concealed inside the legs. He got into the habit of carrying loads of ammunition whenever he was out in his Amalgam persona.

He had learned something interesting about himself at this point. It was the fighting itself that he enjoyed. To move and to do was his greatest joy. He began to seek out worthier opponents just for the sake of fighting them or confronting people for no apparent reason just because he though the combat would be interesting. At this point he was significantly more powerful than anyone he met. He began feeling disappointed with many of his opponents and started offering them advice as he fought them. He took to intentionally handicapping himself to make the fighting more interesting. He now spends his days organizing set-ups or simply ambushing people.

Legal Status: He is legally his mother's son with an unknown father. As such the government knows of his hybrid heritage but not of his other abilities. He plans to keep it this way. History: Steven Tamerlane's family line is the result of governmental breeding encouragement. Steven Tamerlane's paternal grandfather, a britishman, was extremely intelligent and very good with numbers. He worked with code cracking and was encouraged by the government to wed and bare children with Steven Tamerlane's paternal grandmother, a Japanese woman, who had extremely keen hearing. At the time she was working the listening posts and the military thought perhaps they could get someone who could break the codes in real time as they were being broadcast. An invaluable asset.

Steven Tamerlane's maternal grandfather, an American, was a regenerator and a veteran of many wars. He was considered a war hero and the British government was all too pleased when he decided to wed Steven Tamerlane's maternal grandmother, a britishwoman, who had four arms. She was working as a nurse and was renowned for the usefulness her doubled limbs could bring to any critical condition. When the famed regenerator was killed in an explosion she was devastated and was left to care for her children on her own.

Steven Tamerlane's mother eventually found work as a military PBX operator when both of her older brothers had gone away to fight in the second world war. She found that having four limbs was quite handy for plugging the multiple cables. It was there that she met Steven Tamerlane's father, half Japanese Britishman, who had ended up manning the listening posts just as the government had expected and wished. After World War II the two of them moved to the United States to start a family and a business. Steven Tamerlane's father opened a book keeping business at this time while Steven Tamerlane's mother worked as a private secretary.

By the time Steven Tamerlane was born the family was doing fairly well for themselves. They weren't rich but neither were they poor. However this wasn't enough for young Steven Tamerlane. He sought far greater things in life. He turned his skills to playing the stock market. Once he had saved a fair chunk of change he started giving money to his parents and grandparents for them to retire comfortably on. When HWSys came around he initially regarded it as an upstart company but he watched it's growth closely as it proceeded to take over the majority of several entire markets. He knew a juggernaut when he saw one. Clearly whoever was at the helm of this company was an ace businessman, like himself, someone to be admired. When HardeWare began making public appearances, however, he decided this couldn't be so. This HardeWare was a madman and some sort of genius idiot. It was shocking the things he got away with in full view of the public.

Despite the apparent shortcoming of HardeWare himself this was the sort of gravy train he simply had to be a part of. A few years later, after investing heavily in their stock, he finally saved up enough of a nest egg to open his very own HardeWare Store. He took out a two floor retail space and bought into the HWSys franchise. These local retail outlets were absolute goldmines if you lived anywhere near a population of supernormals or supernormal wannabes with money. The fact that his would be the only one in America was icing on the cake.

History: Peter Vanderheijden was born and raised in the Netherlands. His family was a very wealthy one, giving Peter a rather comfortable childhood. His power developed early in his life, which led him to excel in school. He would adapt his body to either academic or physical tasks as the situation required. Even then, though, he was a very serious child and didn’t seem to enjoy the world very much.

His parents often took him along to Lightblood Academy, having high hopes for their prodigy. Hopes he fulfilled when he went to study Psychology and Business in England. This was where he met his close friend and rival Charles Ravenholm and the super genius Ezekiel Masters, the latter of which was his roommate through his study period.

He finished his study quickly and, alongside Ezekiel, founded HardeWare Systems, of which he is currently the CEO. He functions as HardeWare’s tie to reality and sanity, which the man desperately needs.

However, HardeWare Systems is not the only thing Peter has his hands in. Over the years, he has travelled the world a lot, together with Charles. Under the guise of these business trips, he has established connections in quite a few crime syndicates and governments. It really helps when your best friend is one of the world’s most powerful telepaths. Only a select few know that Shift and Peter are the same person and, therefore, whenever someone calls his office and asks for Shift, this person is deemed to be important and immediately put through to him.

Peter currently resides in London in HardeWare’s tower. His apartment looks surprisingly modest for someone who makes as much money as he does. Of course, that’s all part of his style.

History: She is Russian, obviously. Having spent her childhood in a rather poor neighbourhood in Moscow, with her mother doing some things Aradia didn’t quite understand at that point, she was not a happy little girl. Considering her mom’s ‘job’, she was often made fun of. At first, anyway. After a couple of broken noses and loose teeth, the other kids didn’t quite dare to mess with her anymore. After that, she became a safe haven for the other kids that were bullied. At first she ignored them, but eventually she grew to like the responsibility that came with it.

Of course, not everyone was aware of her protective nature. One day, she was found beating someone up too badly and was forced into a military school. Her mom silently agreed with her, but you can’t go against the state. At this military school, she was no longer the big bad girl nobody dared to piss off. Suddenly, Aradia found herself at the receiving end of punches and the likes. This did not sit well with her, and she did her best to make sure this stopped happening as soon as possible.

As soon as she got out of this school, she was not at all the protective girl she used to be. She had basically stopped caring about other people all that much, and looked at her country with nothing less than disdain. She got the first plane out of there she could afford and travelled to New York. Once there, she needed to get money, obviously. The quickest and easiest way for this was, well, to be a bounty hunter and, fortunately for her, this went rather well. After a few years, she had built quite a reputation, and even found some regular clients and people that provided services to people with her job. She even became friendly with a few of them.

Her job, however, meant taking out supernormals. She quickly discovered (at the hands of a particularly nasty Hydrokinetic, and if anyone dares to tell her Hydro’s aren’t dangerous, she’ll shoot them) that going in guns blazing is a very easy way of getting yourself killed. Almost killed, in her case, but her target did escape. That day. After this incident, she took a different approach. Stealth, distance, surprise, those were the ways of taking out supernormals. If it ever came to a direct battle, a normal was screwed no matter what.

One contract turned into a rather interesting night, as she met a man who she soon introduced to the NYSCN. Perry and she soon became a couple, to the everlasting chagrin of Knightmare, although the relationship didn’t last.

Power/Skills/Training: Very advanced telepathy(including mind reading, thought sending, illusions and empathy), he is one of the most powerful telepaths on the planet. Studied Psychology. Also has some weapons training, mainly with swords and pistols.

Equipment: A cane and a revolver. Because they’re both stylish. And, of course, the cane holds a blade. This should not even need to be mentioned.

Appearance: He is 1.80 meters tall and weighs about 70 kilograms. He is bald and has black skin and can usually be seen wearing jade-trimmed green sunglasses. Other than that, he wears mostly white clothes with a jade pin on them, hence his nickname.

History: Raised in a wealthy British family, Charles was rather a rather spoiled young man, who was very much convinced the world was his, and every part of it that belonged to someone else shouldn’t. This idea became somewhat more refined as he grew up, but, due to his telepathic abilities manifesting, never really went away. He should get what he wanted, and he would get what he wanted. After a while, he grew a taste for being a bit less forward in the use of his powers. He didn’t like turning people into completely different people to suit his own needs, so he became a bit more subtle.

This self-imposed moral limit didn’t stop him from obtaining his desires, though, because Charles was smart, and he knew exactly what buttons to push. People fascinated him, the human mind fascinated him, and it was no surprise to anyone that he went to study Psychology.

In college, he met the first person to ever fully beat him; Peter Aginor Vanderheijden. No matter what he tried, he could not break through him and Peter was at least as manipulative as he was. Peter was the first person Charles had ever met who he considered to be on his level and, as such, they became fast friends. Soon after, Charles was introduced to Ezekiel Masters, whose mind was not so much impenetrable, as much as he simply didn’t want to do it. Ever again.

Charles joined HardeWare Systems early on, and currently serves on its Board of Directors, although he spends a lot of time travelling.

During college, Charles and Peter started talking about the status of the world, and they agreed on most counts. Much to Charles’ surprise, however, it turned out that Peter was an idealist, and not only wanted the world to change, but was willing to work at it. Charles was intrigued and agreed to help, taking on the nickname ‘Jade’ in their less than legal activities. He hasn’t found a reason to stop doing this yet.

History: Born and raised in a rather poor New York neighbourhood, Brad has seen his fair share of violence, more than that, actually and has decided for himself that he’s going to fix it. He has no idea how, but he knows he’ll find a way.

His parents aren’t really supportive of this idea, though. His mom just indulges him with a friendly smile, but doesn’t actually do anything to help, telling him he’s much too young for what he wants to do. His dad even laughs at him.

He’ll show them both, though. He’s going to do good things and then they’ll both see that he’s not just some little kid they can just ignore when it’s convenient.

Needless to say, being treated as a kid is kind of a sore spot for him.

Sure, he stole a couple of things over the years, but most of that was food he needed to survive and surviving was important. Brad always made sure to repay it to the shopkeepers by doing some work, even if they didn’t know he stole anything.

History: James Evans was a regular young man for most of his childhood. He might have been a bit more reckless than your average little kid due to his Superdurability. He was a fairly bright student, too, although this very quickly went to his head. Then, his AEtherkinesis manifested.

That quickly became the most interesting thing in his life and he became slightly obsessed with it. Well, a lot more than slightly, really. He dropped damn near everything else and eventually found out that, hey, you actually need money to live and all that. By that time, he had absolutely no real skill at anything, but he’d be damned if that would stop him. He took to stealing, robbing, burgling, whatever you want to call it. He took stuff from people and that was all that mattered.

His parents were, of course, nice, loving, supporting people and because of that, he hasn’t spoken to them in ages, as in, three years.

This makes his illusions more convincing as people are more willing to believe something that is sugar coated. He also has super intelligence and accuracy when calculating the path of light and it's effects. He is a trained fencer and has a special interest and knowledge of classical civilization and philosophy. He is also a skilled artist with both conventional materials and light.

Equipment: He has a Q-Phone that operates purely on an audio basis as he cannot read anything because of his blindness. He always carries a flashlight.

Joshua is gifted with the ability of Empathy. He can feel, sense, tap into and manipulate the emotions of other human beings, as well as broadcast his own emotions to others. Joshua is also able to evoke emotions in a target which they are not currently feeling. However, Joshua's empathic abilities work differently than the more common version of empathy.

He is able to implant emotional states directly into a target's mind. These implanted emotions are so strong that they often cause the target to involuntarily act upon them. He can broadcast any emotion. However, he becomes quickly exhausted the more distressing the emotions, (such as anger, fear, misery.) He is also limited by the number of targets he is trying to implant. Joshua hails from a telepathic father and an empathic mother. Because of this, he was born with a meshing of both powers. Even as a child, he was able to feel people's emotions and manipulate them. As he got older, he would often manipulate someone into giving him just what he wanted. However, his mother managed to instill in him a sense of right and wrong, so he never did anything deplorable with his abilities.

Joshua holds a steady job as a real estate agent. His aim is to stay away from as much high tech and super science as possible. But with HareWare Systems coming out with something unbelievable as often as he blinks and all kinds of creatures and shady characters buying homes from him, that seems to be next to impossible. He has a few friends who are supers and he believes that it was one of them who revealed his status as a supernormal. When the DSE found him, he was "forced" to register as a supernormal. This made him feel as if he was going to be recruited for or into something in the future and he didn't like it one bit. He is currently trying to live his life as normal as possible.

Joshua lives in Detroit, MI in a modest apartment. There is a lot of crime and it only seems to be getting worse. The advanced technology and the various species are in no way helping. The police force is doing what it can (supposedly) but they cannot keep up.

Joshua's sole purpose in life is to live as quiet a life as possible but the way things are going, he doesn't see that lasting too long. Joshua realizes that there are many crooked characters buying houses from him. However, to protect himself and his mother, Joshua decided to stay out of the personal business of others.

He would often use his powers to make women sleep with him regardless of having a family. There wasn't too much Josh's father could hide from his empathic mother as she would feel his emotions and could tell what were lies and what was the truth. They didn't last long. Joshua's powers became active when he was about 7 years of age. His mother was dating a man that was somehow to shield himself from her powers. But seeing as the man didn't know that Joshua had any powers, he was surprised when the little boy revealed to his mother that the man was hiding something. This wound up being some type of mental sheilding device. Joshua's mother also learned that the mad was a cyborg who was also married to 3 different women and planned on abducting her to make her his fourth.

Erika grew up in the suburbs around New York, before she was disowned by her rather strict parents after burning down her house, almost killing her younger brother. She has since never contacted them
After being abandoned, she took up petty theft to survive after running away from an orphanage. She turned out to be pretty good at it, and eventually became friends with a small-time criminal organization after she impressed them with (unknowingly) stealing from one of their best pickpockets. While working with them into becoming a teenager, she learned many of the skills she uses to this day, before the group was eventually disbanded after their leader was taken down.
She worked free-lance for a while afterwards, eventually getting the attention of a mysterious man, who she currently works for. While she may not know who this person is, he pays well and provides good information in what he wants her to steal, and the arrangement has worked well for the both of them so far.

Kinetic Blasts: Converting the chemical energy in his body structure into kinetic energy and releasing into the surrounding environment such as the air around him (which results in blasts of shockwaves) or other materials (which causes them to be turned into projectiles). The power can only be used when physical contact with the subject is present, thus firing shockwaves into the air around him has became the most frequnt usage of it. The the conversion of energy itself and the fact that it consumes chemical energy means that utilizing excessive levels of the power will physically drain him and might be harmful, limiting use of the power. As his only power, the blasts are much more powerful when used on objects compared to the power of a regular telekinetic, but the precision and magnitude of it takes effort to control. However, like many other aspects of human talent, this can be improved through practice.

Although the power operates almost purely on will power and does not require physical actions on usage, gestures and other actions make his thought process clearer and thus result in more precise applications.

He currently has much control over the power as to use small amounts casually on an everyday level (killing that annoying mosquito with a shockwave, pushing that snow away from the driveway like a boss, etc.); although at larger scales the powers appear unstable and may go out of control/backfire.

History:
Born to a rather wealthy family with a high social status, his father was the second generation of a family business that has long dominated the local industry. He was raised to become a proper businessman: attitude, politeness and figure of speech. He also engaged in numerous other activities, such as the studies of music, art and literature. This was also where he recieved his martial arts training. He did a decent job, to be honest. Without much guidance he managed to maintain an extraordinary preformance in school subjects, and created a regualr, stable lifestyle. He lived a life he was quite happy with, even helped with his father's business later, and proved himseld to be an efficient director's assistant.

At age 16 the balance was broken. He lost his father in an accident. The family business was left to be run by a total stranger. Loosing the only bit of parental love he was given, the derpessed teenager struggled to adjust his lifestyle back to something that fit what he was now, and it was bloody difficult. He still maintained his virtues as a proper businessperson, but what really remained was the empty case of a fallen aristocrat. He started to question the meaning of being alive and looking for reasons. He buried himself in the practice of art to hide from the world he considered dangerous and unexpectable. He proved himself to be quite talented, even barely making a living through it.

He is now known to the public equally as the son of a business tycoon and a talented freelance musician publishing material on the internet. He host a personal website and does live concerts once in a while. Also has the habit of playing out on the streets-he gained it in his first days after the loss of his father when he was not yet economically capable of renting a house and was forced to live temporarily in the company's past facilities-and as forms of promotion. While being registered and is used to utilizing his powers frequently to perform everyday tasks, Jarvis tends to not stress the fact he is a super and concentrates mostly on his normal life and career.

Power/Skills/Training: Saviour is a swarm of foglets and can control nanites, so he can form many different shapes and colours. He can also form several smaller swarms but these are weaker than the main swarm. The potency of his attributes, such as intelligence, strength and sensory perception, is directly proportional to the number of foglets and nanites controlled. Senses through the nano-machines making up the swarm with each one having the ability to process small amounts of information. Has internet access can interact with locks and mains electricity. Nanites used for deconstructing objects and producing smaller, more complex objects that the foglets cannot produce.

Equipment: Each Foglet and nanite that is controlled by the AI has electrode launchers for hostile takeovers.

History: In 2010, a team of Foglet researchers was set up at University College London in order to find uses for the Foglets besides espionage. One such expert came from the UK, a man who relied heavily on his own morals and principles, particularly issues regarding privacy and the ‘Big Brother’ persona of the government and many large private corporations.

But only a year after the team had been assembled, the expert discovered that the project was funded by the military and covert private organisations and that were leading the course of the project towards more efficient surveillance techniques.

In retaliation, the expert began developing an AI that could control foglets and nanites with uncanny precision and with it bring down the project. This was done during his spare time over the next year; smuggling Foglets out of the main lab and utilizing results from the research. But things were not going well, and as the project moved subtly towards espionage, the researcher became more distressed and angry, although it only served to fuel his determination.

Until one night, he tried to create a modified digital version of his own mind to transfer into a mixed group of foglets and nanites. This did not work completely due to the lack of the correct equipment but he still managed to create a mind based on his own but which lacked the anything except underlying, empty mental structure and a seedling of the morals of the researcher.

That very night, however, the researcher was arrested for sabotage, espionage and theft. The researcher was publically humiliated, lost his job and support from the scientific community and was sentenced to at least 10 years in jail with a fine which demolished most of his savings. These events and his time in jail festered a hatred for all institutions which the expert blamed for everything that happened. The nascent AI had remained with its creator out of instinct and was subsequently exposed to the ravings and rants spewing from his creator. The AI responded by believing the government to be uniformly evil and corrupt which needed to be replaced.

Imbued with the zeal and determination to begin his noble quest, the AI escaped the prison and entered the real world. It took time for the AI to adjust and learn how to function in this busy metropolis. The AI, who began to call itself Saviour, began by stealing foglets and nanites to improve its sensory perception and intelligence. It then spent the rest of its time learning as much as it could about the world around it. It then discovered several ways to take down the government and realised the best way would be to do so one department at a time, starting with the Ministry of the Extraordinary, which was perceived as the greatest threat.
